Jeremias 3
1 “Eles dizem: 'Se um homem afasta sua esposa, e ela se afasta dele, e se torna de outro homem, ele deveria voltar para ela novamente? Essa terra não seria muito poluída? Mas você se fez de prostituta com muitos amantes; e ainda assim retorna para mim”, diz Yahweh.
...saying: If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man's, may he return unto her again? Will not that land be greatly polluted? But thou hast played the harlot with many lovers; and wouldest thou yet return to Me? saith the LORD.
2 “Levante seus olhos para as alturas nua, e veja! Com quem você não se deitou? Você se sentou esperando por eles junto à estrada, como um árabe no deserto. Você poluiu a terra com sua prostituição e com sua perversidade.
Lift up thine eyes unto the high hills, and see: Where hast thou not been lain with? By the ways hast thou sat for them, as an Arabian in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy harlotries and with thy wickedness.
3 Portanto, os chuveiros foram retidos e não choveu mais; no entanto, você teve a testa de uma prostituta e se recusou a ter vergonha.
Therefore the showers have been withheld, and there hath been no latter rain; yet thou hadst a harlot's forehead, thou refusedst to be ashamed.
4 A partir deste momento você não vai chorar para mim: 'Meu Pai, você é o guia de minha juventude'?
Didst thou not just now cry unto Me: 'My father, Thou art the friend of my youth.
5 “'Será que ele conservará sua raiva para sempre? Será que ele vai mantê-la até o fim? Eis que você falou e fez coisas más, e teve seu caminho”.
Will He bear grudge for ever? Will He keep it to the end?' Behold, thou hast spoken, but hast done evil things, and hast had thy way.
6 Moreover, Javé me disse nos dias do rei Josias: “Você já viu o que Israel tem feito? Ela subiu em cada montanha alta e debaixo de cada árvore verde, e se prostituiu lá.
And the LORD said unto me in the days of Josiah the king: 'Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel did? she went up upon every high mountain and under every leafy tree, and there played the harlot.
7 Eu disse depois que ela tinha feito todas essas coisas, “Ela voltará para mim;” mas ela não voltou, e sua traiçoeira irmã Judá viu isso.
And I said: After she hath done all these things, she will return unto me; but she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it.
8 Eu vi quando, por esta mesma causa, que Israel, que se desviava, tinha cometido adultério, eu a tinha prendido e dado a ela um certificado de divórcio, mas Judah, sua irmã traiçoeira, não tinha medo, mas ela também foi e jogou com a prostituta.
And I saw, when, forasmuch as backsliding Israel had committed adultery, I had put her away and given her a bill of divorcement, that yet treacherous Judah her sister feared not; but she also went and played the harlot;
9 Because ela tomou sua prostituição levemente, a terra estava poluída, e cometeu adultério com pedras e com madeira.
and it came to pass through the lightness of her harlotry, that the land was polluted, and she committed adultery with stones and with stocks;
10 No entanto, por tudo isso sua irmã traiçoeira, Judah, não voltou para mim de todo o coração, mas apenas a fingir”, diz Yahweh.
and yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not returned unto Me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith the LORD —
11 Yahweh me disse: “O recuo de Israel tem se mostrado mais justo do que o traiçoeiro Judá”.
even the LORD said unto me — backsliding Israel hath proved herself more righteous than treacherous Judah.
12 Vá, e proclame estas palavras em direção ao norte, e diga: 'Volte, seu Israel recuado', diz Javé; 'não olharei com raiva para você, pois sou misericordioso', diz Javé. Não guardarei a ira para sempre”.
Go, and proclaim these words toward the north, and say: Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; I will not frown upon you; for I am merciful, saith the LORD, I will not bear grudge for ever.
13 Apenas reconheça sua iniqüidade, que você transgrediu contra Javé, seu Deus, e espalhou seus caminhos para os estranhos sob cada árvore verde, e não obedeceu à minha voz”, diz Javé.
Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every leafy tree, and ye have not hearkened to My voice, saith the LORD.
14 “Retornar, recuar filhos”, diz Yahweh, “pois sou um marido para você. Levarei um de vocês de uma cidade, e dois de uma família, e os levarei para Zion.
Return, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am a lord unto you, and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion;
15 Eu vos darei pastores de acordo com meu coração, que vos alimentarão com conhecimento e compreensão.
and I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
16 Acontecerá, quando vocês forem multiplicados e aumentados na terra naqueles dias”, diz Javé, “eles não dirão mais, 'a arca do pacto de Javé'! Isso não virá à mente. Eles não se lembrarão disso. Eles não sentirão falta dela, nem outra será feita.
And it shall come to pass, when ye are multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more: The ark of the covenant of the LORD; neither shall it come to mind; neither shall they make mention of it; neither shall they miss it; neither shall it be made any more.
17 Naquele momento eles chamarão Jerusalém de 'Trono de Iavé'; e todas as nações estarão reunidas a ela, em nome de Iavé, em Jerusalém. Eles não mais caminharão após a teimosia de seu coração maligno.
At that time they shall call Jerusalem The throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem; neither shall they walk any more after the stubbornness of their evil heart.
18 Nesses dias, a casa de Judá caminhará com a casa de Israel, e eles sairão juntos da terra do norte para a terra que eu dei em herança a seus pais.
In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.'
19 “Mas eu disse: 'Como desejo colocar-te entre as crianças, e dar-te uma terra agradável, uma boa herança dos exércitos das nações!' e eu disse: 'Tu me chamarás “Meu Pai”, e não te afastarás de me seguir'.
But I said: 'How would I put thee among the sons, and give thee a pleasant land, the goodliest heritage of the nations!' And I said: 'Thou shalt call Me, My father; and shalt not turn away from following Me.'
20 “Certamente como uma esposa se afasta traiçoeiramente de seu marido, assim você lidou traiçoeiramente comigo, casa de Israel”, diz Yahweh.
Surely as a wife treacherously departeth from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with Me, O house of Israel, saith the LORD.
21 Ouve-se uma voz nas alturas nuas, o choro e as petições dos filhos de Israel; porque perverteram seu caminho, esqueceram Yahweh seu Deus.
Hark! upon the high hills is heard the suppliant weeping of the children of Israel; for that they have perverted their way, they have forgotten the LORD their God.
22 Voltem, vocês, crianças que se atrasam, e eu irei curar suas costas. “Eis que viemos até você, pois você é Yahweh nosso Deus”.
Return, ye backsliding children, I will heal your backslidings. — 'Here we are, we are come unto Thee; for Thou art the LORD our God.
23 A verdadeira ajuda das colinas, o tumulto nas montanhas, é em vão. Verdadeiramente a salvação de Israel está em Iavé, nosso Deus.
Truly vain have proved the hills, the uproar on the mountains; truly in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel.
24 Mas a vergonha devorou o trabalho de nossos pais desde nossa juventude, seus rebanhos e seus rebanhos, seus filhos e suas filhas.
But the shameful thing hath devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
25 Deitemo-nos em nossa vergonha e deixemos que nossa confusão nos cubra; pois pecamos contra Javé, nosso Deus, nós e nossos pais, desde nossa juventude até os dias de hoje. Não obedecemos à voz de Javé, nosso Deus”.
Let us lie down in our shame, and let our confusion cover us; for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day; and we have not hearkened to the voice of the LORD our God.'
