Jeremias 23
1 “Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture!” diz Yahweh.
Woe to the shepherds, Who lose and scatter the sheep of my pasture, saith Jehovah.
2 Portanto Yahweh, o Deus de Israel, diz contra os pastores que alimentam meu povo: “Vocês dispersaram meu rebanho, os expulsaram e não os visitaram”. Eis que eu visitarei sobre vós o mal de vossos feitos”, diz Javé.
For concerning the shepherds, the feeders of my people, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel: Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, And have not taken care of them. Behold, I am about to requite you For the evil of your doings, saith Jehovah.
3 “Reunirei o resto do meu rebanho de todos os países para onde os expulsei, e os trarei novamente aos seus rebanhos; e eles serão fecundos e se multiplicarão”.
But I will gather the remnant of my flock From all the countries whither I have driven them, And I will bring them back to their folds, And they shall be fruitful and increase.
4 “Montarei sobre eles pastores que os alimentarão. Eles não terão mais medo ou consternação, nem faltará nenhum”, diz Yahweh.
And I will raise up shepherds over them, who shall feed them; They shall fear no more, nor be dismayed; Nor shall they be lost, saith Jehovah.
5 “Eis que os dias vêm”, diz Yahweh, “que levantarei para David um ramo justo”; e ele reinará como rei e negociará sabiamente, e executará a justiça e a retidão na terra.
Behold, the days are coming, saith Jehovah, When I will raise up from David a righteous Branch, And a king shall reign and prosper, And shall maintain justice and equity in the land.
6 Em seus dias, Judah será salvo, e Israel habitará em segurança. Este é seu nome pelo qual ele será chamado: Yahweh nossa retidão.
In his days Judah shall be saved, And Israel shall dwell securely; And this is the name which shall be given him, Jehovah-is-our-salvation.
7 “Portanto, eis que vêm os dias”, diz Javé, “que não dirão mais: 'Como Javé vive, que criou os filhos de Israel fora da terra do Egito;
Therefore, behold, the days shall come, saith Jehovah, When they shall no more say, “As Jehovah liveth Who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt!”
8 mas, 'Como Javé vive, que criou e conduziu a descendência da casa de Israel para fora do país do norte, e de todos os países onde eu os havia expulsado'. Então eles morarão em suas próprias terras”.
But, “As Jehovah liveth Who brought up and led the race of Israel from the north country, And from all the countries whither I had driven them!” And they shall dwell in their own land.
9 Com relação aos profetas: Meu coração dentro de mim está partido. Todos os meus ossos tremem. Eu sou como um homem bêbado, e como um homem que o vinho superou, por causa de Yahweh, e por causa de suas palavras sagradas.
Concerning the Prophets. My heart is broken within me; All my bones tremble. I am become like a drunken man, Like a man whom wine hath overcome, Because of Jehovah, And because of his holy words.
10 “Pois a terra está cheia de adúlteros; por causa da maldição que a terra chora. As pastagens da região selvagem secaram. O curso deles é maligno, e seu poder não está certo;
For the land is full of adulteries; Because of a curse doth the land mourn; The pastures of the waste are dried up; For they run to do evil, And their might is without right.
11 tanto para profeta quanto para sacerdote são profanos. Sim, em minha casa encontrei a maldade deles”, diz Yahweh.
Yea, both prophet and priest are profane; Even in my house have I found their wickedness, saith Jehovah.
12 Portanto, seu caminho será para eles como lugares escorregadios na escuridão. Eles serão levados adiante, e cair nela; pois eu trarei o mal sobre eles, mesmo no ano de sua visitação”, diz Yahweh.
Therefore shall their way become as slippery places in the dark; They shall be driven on and fall therein; For I will bring evil upon them In the time of their visitation, saith Jehovah.
13 “Eu tenho visto loucura nos profetas de Samaria. Eles foram profetizados por Baal, e fez com que meu povo Israel se equivocasse.
In the prophets of Samaria have I seen folly; They prophesy in the name of Baal, and cause my people Israel to err.
14 Nos profetas de Jerusalém eu também vi uma coisa horrível: eles cometem adultério e andam em mentiras. Eles fortalecem as mãos dos malfeitores, para que ninguém retorne de sua maldade. Todos eles se tornaram para mim como Sodoma, e seus habitantes como Gomorra”.
In the prophets of Jerusalem also have I seen a horrible thing; They commit adultery, and walk in falsehood; They strengthen the hands of evil-doers, So that none doth turn from his iniquity. They have all become to me as Sodom, And her inhabitants as Gomorrah.
15 Portanto Yahweh dos Exércitos diz a respeito dos profetas: “Eis que eu os alimentarei com absinto, e fazê-los beber água envenenada; pois dos profetas de Jerusalém, a impiedade saiu por toda a terra”.
Therefore thus saith Jehovah of hosts concerning the prophets: Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, And give them the water of hemlock to drink; For from the prophets of Jerusalem Hath profaneness gone forth into all the land.
16 diz Yahweh dos Exércitos, “Não ouçam as palavras dos profetas que profetizam a vocês. Eles lhe ensinam a vaidade. Eles falam de uma visão de seu próprio coração, e não da boca de Yahweh.
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Hearken not to the words of the prophets; They lead you to vanity; They utter the vision of their own heart, And not from the mouth of Jehovah.
17 Dizem continuamente para aqueles que me desprezam, Yahweh disse: “Você terá paz”; e a todos que caminham na teimosia de seu próprio coração, dizem eles, “Nenhum mal virá sobre você”.
To them that despise me they say continually, “Jehovah hath said, Ye shall have peace”; And to every one that walketh after the perverseness of his heart, “No evil shall come upon you.”
18 Para quem já esteve no conselho de Yahweh, que ele deve perceber e ouvir sua palavra? Quem ouviu a minha palavra e a ouviu?
For who of them hath stood in the council of Jehovah, And hath seen and heard his word? Who hath listened to his word and heard it?
19 Eis que a tempestade de Yahweh, sua fúria, se extinguiu. Sim, uma tempestade rodopiante! Ela vai estourar na cabeça dos ímpios.
Behold a whirlwind from Jehovah goeth forth in fury, Even a rushing whirlwind; Upon the head of the wicked shall it rush.
20 A raiva de Yahweh não voltará até que ele tenha executado e realizou os intentos de seu coração. Nos últimos dias, você o entenderá perfeitamente.
The fierce anger of Jehovah shall not turn back, Until he shall have executed, until he shall have accomplished the purpose of his heart. In the latter days ye shall understand it fully.
21 Eu não enviei esses profetas, mas eles correram. Eu não falei com eles, mas eles profetizaram.
I sent not these prophets, yet they ran; I spake not to them, yet they prophesied.
22 Mas se eles tivessem participado de meu conselho, então eles teriam feito com que meu povo ouvisse minhas palavras, e os teria desviado de seu mau caminho, e do mal de suas ações.
For if they had stood in my council, Then would they have caused my people to hear my words, And would have turned them from their evil way. And from the wickedness of their doings.
23 “Sou um Deus à mão”, diz Yahweh, “e não um Deus longe?
Am I a God near at hand, saith Jehovah, And not a God afar off?
24 Qualquer pessoa pode se esconder em lugares secretos para que eu não possa vê-lo...” diz Yahweh. “Eu não encho o céu e a terra?” diz Yahweh.
Can any one hide himself in secret places, So that I shall not see him? saith Jehovah; Do I nor fill heaven and earth? saith Jehovah.
25 “Eu ouvi o que os profetas disseram, que profetizam mentiras em meu nome, dizendo: 'Eu tive um sonho! Eu tive um sonho!
I have heard what the prophets say, Who prophesy falsehood in my name, Saying, “I have dreamed, I have dreamed.”
26 Por quanto tempo isso ficará no coração dos profetas que profetizam mentiras, mesmo os profetas do engano de seu próprio coração?
How long shall this be In the heart of the prophets, who prophesy falsehood, The prophets of the deceit of their own heart,
27 Eles pretendem fazer com que meu povo esqueça meu nome pelos sonhos que cada um conta ao seu próximo, como seus pais esqueceram meu nome por causa de Baal.
Who think to cause my people to forget my name By the dreams which they relate one to another, As their fathers forgot my name through Baal?
28 O profeta que tem um sonho, deixe-o contar um sonho; e aquele que tem minha palavra, deixe-o falar minha palavra fielmente. O que é a palha para o trigo?” diz Javé.
The prophet who hath a dream, let him tell a dream; And he that hath my word, let him speak my word truly! What is the chaff to the wheat? saith Jehovah.
29 “Não é minha palavra como fogo?” diz Yahweh; “e como um martelo que quebra a rocha em pedaços?
Is not my word like fire, saith Jehovah, And like a hammer, that breaketh the rock in pieces?
30 “Portanto, eis que sou contra os profetas”, diz Javé, “que cada um rouba minhas palavras de seu próximo”.
Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith Jehovah, That steal my words one from another.
31 “Eis que sou contra os profetas”, diz Javé, “que usam a língua, e dizem: 'Ele diz'”.
Behold, I am against the prophets, saith Jehovah, That take their tongues and utter oracles.
32 Eis que sou contra aqueles que profetizam sonhos mentirosos”, diz Yahweh, “que lhes dizem, e fazem meu povo errar por suas mentiras, e por sua vanglória jactância; contudo, eu não os enviei nem os comandei. Eles não lucram nada com este povo”, diz Yahweh.
Behold, I am against the prophets of false dreams, saith Jehovah, Who tell them, and cause my people to err By their lies and their arrogance. I have not sent them, nor commanded them, And they shall not profit this people at all, saith Jehovah.
33 “Quando este povo, ou o profeta, ou um padre, lhe pergunta, dizendo: “Qual é a mensagem de Javé? Então você lhes dirá: ““Que mensagem? Eu o rejeitarei”, diz Yahweh'.
And when this people, or a prophet, or a priest Shall ask thee, saying, “What is the burden from Jehovah?” Then say thou to them, “What is the burden?” That I will cast you away, saith Jehovah.
34 Quanto ao profeta, ao sacerdote e ao povo, que dizem: 'A mensagem de Iavé', castigarei até mesmo aquele homem e sua casa.
And the prophet, the priest, and the people, Who shall say, “The burden of Jehovah,” I will punish that man and his house.
35 Você dirá todos ao seu próximo, e todos ao seu irmão, 'O que Javé respondeu?' e, 'O que Javé disse?
Thus shall ye speak, one to another: “What hath Jehovah answered?” And, “What hath Jehovah spoken?”
36 Você não mencionará mais a mensagem de Javé, pois a própria palavra de cada homem se tornou sua mensagem; pois você perverteu as palavras do Deus vivo, de Javé dos Exércitos, nosso Deus.
And of a burden of Jehovah shall ye speak no more; Else shall every man's word be his burden, Because ye pervert the words of the living God, Of Jehovah of hosts, our God.
37 Você dirá ao profeta: 'O que Javé lhe respondeu?' e: 'O que Javé falou?
Thus shalt thou say to the prophet: “What hath Jehovah answered thee?” And, “What hath Jehovah spoken?”
38 Embora você diga: 'A mensagem de Javé', portanto Javé diz: 'Porque você diz esta palavra, “A mensagem de Javé”, e eu lhe enviei, dizendo-lhe para não dizer: “A mensagem de Javé”,
If ye shall say, “The burden of Jehovah,” Then thus saith Jehovah: Because ye say, “The burden of Jehovah,” Although I sent to you and said, Ye shall not say, “The burden of Jehovah,”
39 portanto eis que eu o esquecerei totalmente, e o expulsarei com a cidade que lhe dei e a seus pais, longe de minha presença.
Therefore, behold, I will utterly forget you, And I will cast you, and the city which I gave to your fathers, out of my presence;
40 trarei sobre vós uma eterna reprovação e uma eterna vergonha, que não será esquecida”.
And I will bring upon you an everlasting reproach, And a perpetual shame which shall not be forgotten.
