Jeremias 15
1 Então Iavé me disse: “Embora Moisés e Samuel estivessem diante de mim, minha mente não se voltaria para este povo”. Expulse-os de minha vista, e deixe-os sair!
Then said the LORD to me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, [yet] my mind [could] not [be] towards this people: cast [them] out of my sight, and let them go forth.
2 Acontecerá quando eles lhe perguntarem: “Onde vamos sair?”, então você lhes dirá: “Yahweh diz: “Tais como são para a morte, até a morte”; tais como são para a espada, para a espada; tais como são para a fome, para a fome; e tais como são para o cativeiro, para o cativeiro”.
And it shall come to pass, if they say to thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith the LORD; Such as [are] for death, to death; and such as [are] for the sword, to the sword; and such as [are] for the famine, to the famine; and such as [are] for the captivity, to the captivity.
3 “Vou nomear sobre eles quatro tipos”, diz Yahweh: “a espada para matar, os cães para rasgar, as aves do céu, e os animais da terra, para devorar e destruir”.
And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith the LORD: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy.
4 farei com que sejam atirados para frente e para trás entre todos os reinos da terra, por causa de Manassés, o filho de Ezequias, rei de Judá, por aquilo que fez em Jerusalém.
And I will cause them to be removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah king of Judah, for [that] which he did in Jerusalem.
5 Para quem terá piedade de você, Jerusalém? Quem o lamentará? Quem virá para pedir seu bem-estar?
For who shall have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? or who shall bemoan thee? or who shall go aside to ask concerning thy welfare?
6 Você me rejeitou”, diz Yahweh. “Você recuou. Portanto, estendi minha mão contra você e o destruiu. Estou cansado de mostrar compaixão.
Thou hast forsaken me, saith the LORD, thou art gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, and destroy thee; I am weary with repenting.
7 Eu os vi com um ventilador nos portões da terra. Eu as lutei de luto de crianças. Eu destruí meu povo. Eles não voltaram de seus caminhos.
And I will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land; I will bereave [them] of children, I will destroy my people, [since] they return not from their ways.
8 Suas viúvas são mais numerosas do que a areia dos mares. Eu trouxe contra a mãe dos jovens um destruidor ao meio-dia. Eu causei angústia e terrores que caíram sobre ela de repente.
Their widows are multiplied to me above the sand of the seas: I have brought upon them against the mother of the young men a spoiler at noon-day: I have caused [him] to fall upon it suddenly, and terrors upon the city.
9 Ela que já suportou sete idiomas. Ela renunciou ao espírito. Seu sol já se pôs enquanto ainda era dia. Ela se decepcionou e ficou confusa. Entregarei seus resíduos à espada antes de seus inimigos”, diz Yahweh.
She that hath borne seven languisheth: she hath resigned her breath; her sun is gone down while [it was] yet day: she hath been ashamed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, saith the LORD.
10 Ai de mim, minha mãe, que você me deu à luz, um homem de lutas, e um homem de contenção para toda a terra! Eu não emprestei, nem os homens emprestaram para mim; no entanto, cada um deles me amaldiçoa.
Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on usury, nor have men lent to me on usury; [yet] every one of them doth curse me.
11 disse Yahweh, “Certamente eu o fortalecerei de vez. Certamente farei com que o inimigo lhe faça súplicas no tempo do mal e em tempo de aflição.
The LORD said, Verily it shall be well with thy remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to treat thee [well] in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.
12 Can one break iron, até mesmo ferro do norte, e bronze?
Shall iron break the northern iron and the steel?
13 Eu darei sua substância e seus tesouros por um saque sem preço, e isso por todos os seus pecados, mesmo em todas as suas fronteiras.
Thy substance and thy treasures will I give to the spoil without price, and [that] for all thy sins, even in all thy borders.
14 Eu os farei passar com seus inimigos para uma terra que você não conhece; pois um incêndio se acende em minha raiva, que vai queimar em você”.
And I will make [thee] to pass with thy enemies into a land [which] thou knowest not: for a fire is kindled in my anger, [which] shall burn upon you.
15 Yahweh, você sabe. Lembre-se de mim, visite-me, e me vingar dos meus perseguidores. Você é paciente, portanto não me leve embora. Saiba que, para seu bem, eu sofri reprovação.
O LORD, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and avenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy long-suffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke.
16 Suas palavras foram encontradas, e eu os comi. Suas palavras foram para mim uma alegria e o regozijo do meu coração, pois sou chamado pelo seu nome, Yahweh, Deus dos Exércitos.
Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.
17 Não me sentei na assembléia daqueles que se alegram e se regozijam. Sentei-me sozinho por causa de sua mão, pois você me encheu de indignação.
I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation.
18 Por que minha dor é perpétua? e minha ferida é incurável, que se recusa a ser curado? Você será de fato para mim como um riacho enganoso, como as águas que falham?
Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, [which] refuseth to be healed? wilt thou be altogether to me as a liar, [and as] waters [that] fail?
19 Portanto, diz Yahweh, “Se você voltar, então eu o trarei novamente”, que você possa estar diante de mim; e se você tirar o precioso do vil, você será como minha boca. Eles voltarão para você, mas você não voltará para eles.
Therefore thus saith the LORD, If thou shalt return, then will I bring thee again, [and] thou shalt stand before me: and if thou shalt separate the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return to thee; but return not thou to them.
20 Farei de vocês um muro de bronze fortificado para este povo. Eles vão lutar contra você, mas eles não prevalecerão contra você; pois eu estou com você para salvá-lo e para te entregar”, diz Yahweh.
And I will make thee to this people a fortified brazen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I [am] with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the LORD.
21 “Eu o entregarei fora das mãos dos ímpios, e eu vos resgatarei da mão do terrível”.
And I will deliver thee from the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee from the hand of the terrible.
