Isaías 1
1 A visão de Isaías, filho de Amoz, que ele viu a respeito de Judá e Jerusalém, nos dias de Uzias, Jotão, Acaz e Ezequias, reis de Judá.
The vision which Esaias the son of Amos saw, which he saw against Juda, and against Jerusalem, in the reign of Ozias, and Joatham, and Achaz, and Ezekias, who reigned over Judea.
2 Ouça, céus, e escute, terra; pois Yahweh falou: “Eu alimentei e criei crianças e eles se rebelaram contra mim.
Hear, O heaven, and listen, O earth: for the Lord has spoken, [saying], I have begotten and reared up children, but they have rebelled against me.
3 O boi conhece seu dono, e o burro, o berço de seu amo; mas Israel não sabe. Meu povo não considera”.
The ox knows his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel does not know me, and the people has not regarded me.
4 Ah nação pecadora, um povo carregado de iniqüidade, descendência de malfeitores, crianças que lidam de forma corrupta! Eles abandonaram Yahweh. Eles desprezaram o Santo de Israel. Eles são estranhos e retrógrados.
Ah sinful nation, a people full of sins, an evil seed, lawless children: you have forsaken the Lord, and provoked the Holy One of Israel.
5 Por que você deveria ser mais espancado? que você se revolta mais e mais? A cabeça inteira está doente, e todo o coração desmaia.
Why should you be struck [any] more, transgressing more and more? the whole head is pained, and the whole heart sad.
6 Desde a sola do pé até a cabeça não há nenhuma solidez nele, mas feridas, vergões e feridas abertas. Eles não foram fechados, enfaixados, nem acalmados com óleo.
From the feet to the head, there is no soundness in them; neither wound, nor bruise, nor festering ulcer [are healed]: it is not possible to apply a plaister, nor oil, nor bandages.
7 Seu país está desolado. Suas cidades são queimadas pelo fogo. Estranhos devoram sua terra em sua presença e é desolado, como derrubado por estranhos.
Your land is desolate, your cities burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is made desolate, overthrown by strange nations.
8 A filha de Sião é deixada como um abrigo em um vinhedo, como uma cabana em um campo de melões, como uma cidade sitiada.
The daughter of Sion shall be deserted as a tent in a vineyard, and as a storehouse of fruits in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.
9 Unless O Yahweh dos Exércitos deixou para nós um pequeno remanescente, teríamos sido como Sodoma. Nós teríamos sido como Gomorra.
And if the Lord of Sabaoth had not left us a seed, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been made like Gomorrha.
10 Ouçam a palavra de Yahweh, governantes de Sodoma! Escutem a lei de nosso Deus, povo de Gomorra!
Hear the word of the Lord, you rulers of Sodoma; attend to the law of God, you people of Gomorrha.
11 “Quais são a multidão de seus sacrifícios para mim?”, diz Yahweh. “Estou farto das ofertas queimadas de carneiros e a gordura dos animais alimentados. Eu não me deleito com o sangue de touros, ou de cordeiros, ou de caprinos machos.
Of what [value] to me is the abundance of your sacrifices? says the Lord: I am full of whole burnt offerings of rams; and I delight not in the fat of lambs, and the blood of bulls and goats:
12 Quando você vier para comparecer diante de mim, quem exigiu isto em suas mãos, para pisar em meus tribunais?
neither shall you come [with these] to appear before me; for who has required these things at your hands? You shall no more tread my court.
13 Não traga mais ofertas vãs. O incenso é uma abominação para mim. Luas novas, sábados e convocações... Eu não suporto montagens malignas.
Though you bring fine flour, [it is] vain; incense is an abomination to me; I can’t bear your new moons, and your sabbaths, and the great day;
14 Minha alma odeia suas Luas Novas e suas festas designadas. Eles são um fardo para mim. Estou cansado de suportá-los.
[your] fasting, and rest from work, your new moons also, and your feasts my soul hates: you have become loathsome to me; I will no more pardon your sins.
15 Quando você estender suas mãos, eu esconderei meus olhos de você. Sim, quando você faz muitas orações, eu não vou ouvir. Suas mãos estão cheias de sangue.
When you stretch forth your hands, I will turn away mine eyes from you: and though you make many supplications, I will not listen to you; for your hands are full of blood.
16 Lavem-se. Limpe-se. Afaste o mal de seus atos de diante dos meus olhos. Cessar de fazer o mal.
Wash you, be clean; remove your iniquities from your souls before mine eyes; cease from your iniquities;
17 Aprenda a fazer bem. Buscar a justiça. Aliviar os oprimidos. Defender os órfãos de pai. Plead para a viúva”.
learn to do well; diligently seek judgment, deliver him that is suffering wrong, plead for the orphan, and obtain justice for the widow.
18 “Venha agora, e vamos raciocinar juntos”, diz Yahweh: “Embora seus pecados sejam tão escarlate, eles serão tão brancos como a neve”. Embora sejam vermelhas como carmesim, devem ser como lã.
And come, let us reason together, says the Lord: and though your sins be as purple, I will make them white as snow; and though they be as scarlet, I will make [them] white as wool.
19 Se você estiver disposto e obediente, você vai comer o bem da terra;
And if you be willing, and listen to me, you shall eat the good of the land:
20 mas se você recusar e se rebelar, você será devorado com a espada; pois a boca de Yahweh o disse”.
but if you be not willing, nor listen to me, a sword shall devour you: for the mouth of the Lord has spoken this.
21 Como a cidade fiel se tornou uma prostituta! Ela estava cheia de justiça. A justiça nela depositada, mas agora há assassinos.
How has the faithful city Sion, [once] full of judgment, become a harlot! wherein righteousness lodged, but now murderers.
22 Sua prata se tornou escória, seu vinho misturado com água.
Your silver is worthless, your wine merchants mix the wine with water.
23 Seus príncipes são rebeldes e companheiros de ladrões. Todos adoram subornos e seguem atrás de recompensas. Eles não defendem os órfãos de pai, nem a causa da viúva vem até eles.
Your princes are rebellious, companions of thieves, loving bribes, seeking after rewards; not pleading for orphans, and not heeding the cause of widows.
24 Portanto, o Senhor, Yahweh dos Exércitos, o Poderoso de Israel, diz: “Ah, eu terei alívio de meus adversários”, e me vingar de meus inimigos.
Therefore thus says the Lord, the Lord of hosts, Woe to the mighty [men] of Israel; for my wrath shall not cease against mine adversaries, and I will execute judgment on mine enemies.
25 Vou virar minha mão para você, purgar completamente sua escória, e lhe tirará toda a lata.
And I will bring my hand upon you, and purge you completely, and I will destroy the rebellious, and will take away from you all transgressors.
26 Vou restaurar seus juízes como no início, e seus conselheiros, como no início. Em seguida, você será chamada de “A cidade da retidão”, uma cidade fiel'.
And I will establish your judges as before, and your counselors as at the beginning: and afterward you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful mother-city of Sion.
27 Zion será redimida com justiça, e seus convertidos com retidão.
For her captives shall be saved with judgment, and with mercy.
28 Mas a destruição de transgressores e pecadores deve ser feita em conjunto, e aqueles que abandonarem Yahweh serão consumidos.
And the transgressors and the sinners shall be crushed together, and they that forsake the Lord shall be utterly consumed.
29 Pois eles terão vergonha dos carvalhos que desejaram, e você ficará confuso com os jardins que escolheu.
For they shall be ashamed of their idols, which they delighted in, and they are made ashamed of the gardens which they coveted.
30 Para você será como um carvalho cuja folha desbota, e como um jardim que não tem água.
For they shall be as a turpentine tree that has cast its leaves, and as a garden that has no water.
31 O forte será como o tinder, e seu trabalho como uma faísca. Ambos irão queimar juntos, e ninguém os saciará”.
And their strength shall be as a thread of tow, and their works as sparks, and the transgressors and the sinners shall be burnt up together, and there shall be none to quench [them].
