Isaías 59
1 Eis que a mão de Yahweh não está encurtada, que não pode salvar; nem o seu ouvido baço, que não consegue ouvir.
Look, YHWH's hand is not shortened, that it can't save; neither his ear heavy, that it can't hear:
2 Mas suas iniqüidades separaram você e seu Deus, e seus pecados esconderam seu rosto de você, para que ele não ouça.
but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.
3 Pois suas mãos estão contaminadas com sangue, e seus dedos com iniqüidade. Seus lábios têm falado mentiras. Sua língua murmura a maldade.
For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue mutters wickedness.
4 Ninguém processa com retidão, e ninguém alega a verdade. Eles confiam na vaidade e falar mentiras. Eles concebem travessuras e dar à luz a iniqüidade.
None sues in righteousness, and none pleads in truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
5 Eles chocam ovos de víboras e tecer a teia de aranha. Aquele que come de seus ovos morre; e aquilo que é esmagado irrompe em uma víbora.
They hatch adders' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he who eats of their eggs dies; and that which is crushed breaks out into a viper.
6 Suas teias não se tornarão peças de vestuário. Eles não vão se cobrir com suas obras. Suas obras são obras de iniqüidade, e atos de violência estão em suas mãos.
Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.
7 Seus pés correm para o mal, e eles se apressam a derramar sangue inocente. Seus pensamentos são pensamentos de iniqüidade. A desolação e a destruição estão em seus caminhos.
Their feet run to evil, and they are swift to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; destruction and calamity are in their paths.
8 Eles não conhecem o caminho da paz; e não há justiça em seus caminhos. Eles fizeram caminhos tortuosos para si mesmos; Quem entra neles não conhece a paz.
The way of peace they do not know; and there is no justice in their goings: they have made them crooked paths; whoever goes in it does not know peace.
9 Portanto, a justiça está longe de nós, e a retidão não nos ultrapassa. Buscamos a luz, mas vemos a escuridão; para o brilho, mas caminhamos na obscuridade.
Therefore is justice far from us, neither does righteousness overtake us: we look for light, but, look, darkness; for brightness, but we walk in obscurity.
10 Apalpamos a parede como os cegos. Sim, nós tateamos como aqueles que não têm olhos. Tropeçamos ao meio-dia como se fosse o crepúsculo. Entre aqueles que são fortes, nós somos como homens mortos.
We grope for the wall like the blind; yes, we grope as those who have no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the twilight; among those who are lusty we are as dead men.
11 Todos nós rugimos como ursos e gemem tristemente como pombas. Buscamos a justiça, mas não há nenhuma, para a salvação, mas está muito longe de nós.
We roar all like bears, and moan bitterly like doves: we look for justice, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.
12 Pois nossas transgressões são multiplicadas diante de você, e nossos pecados testemunham contra nós; por nossas transgressões estão conosco, e quanto às nossas iniquidades, nós as conhecemos:
For our transgressions are multiplied before you, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are with us, and as for our iniquities, we know them:
13 transgredindo e negando Yahweh, e se afastando de seguir nosso Deus, opressão e revolta, concebendo e proferindo a partir do coração palavras de falsidade.
transgressing and denying YHWH, and turning away from following our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
14 A justiça é voltada para trás, e a retidão está muito longe; para a verdade caiu na rua, e a retidão não pode entrar.
Justice is turned away backward, and righteousness stands afar off; for truth is fallen in the street, and uprightness can't enter.
15 Sim, falta a verdade; e aquele que se afasta do mal se faz presa. Yahweh o viu, e desagradou-lhe que não houvesse justiça.
Yes, truth is lacking; and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. YHWH saw it, and it displeased him that there was no justice.
16 Ele viu que não havia homem algum, e se perguntava se não haveria intercessor. Portanto, seu próprio braço trouxe a salvação para ele; e sua retidão o sustentou.
He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his own arm brought salvation to him; and his righteousness, it upheld him.
17 Ele se coloca na retidão como uma couraça, e um capacete de salvação em sua cabeça. Ele veste roupas de vingança por roupas, e estava revestida de zelo como um manto.
He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on his head; and he put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a mantle.
18 De acordo com suas escrituras, ele reembolsará conforme o caso: fúria a seus adversários, recompensa a seus inimigos. Ele pagará às ilhas o que lhes é devido.
According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, wrath to his adversaries, recompense to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompense.
19 Assim, eles temerão o nome de Yahweh do oeste, e sua glória do nascer do sol; pois ele virá como um fluxo apressado, que o fôlego de Yahweh impulsiona.
So shall they fear the name of YHWH from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come as a rushing stream, which the breath of YHWH drives.
20 “Um Redentor virá a Zion, e para aqueles que se voltam da desobediência em Jacó”, diz Yahweh.
"A Redeemer will come from Zion, and he will turn away transgression from Jacob," says YHWH.
21 “Quanto a mim, este é meu convênio com eles”, diz Yahweh. “Meu Espírito que está sobre vós, e minhas palavras que pus em vossa boca não sairão de vossa boca, nem da boca de vossa prole, nem da boca de vossa prole”, diz Yahweh, “de agora em diante e para sempre”.
"As for me, this is my covenant with them," says YHWH. "My Spirit who is on you, and my words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your children, nor out of the mouth of your children's children," says YHWH, "from now on and forever."
