Isaías 5
1 Deixe-me cantar para o meu bem amado uma canção do meu amado sobre sua vinha. Minha amada tinha um vinhedo em uma colina muito frutífera.
Let me sing for my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved had a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:
2 Ele o desenterrou, recolheu suas pedras, plantou-a com a videira mais escolhida, construiu uma torre no meio dela, e também cortar um lagar de vinho dentro dele. Ele procurou por ela para produzir uvas, mas produziu uvas silvestres.
and he made a trench about it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also hewed out a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.
3 “Agora, habitantes de Jerusalém e homens de Judá, por favor, julgue entre mim e meu vinhedo.
And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.
4 O que poderia ter sido feito mais com meu vinhedo, que eu não tenha feito nele? Por que, quando procurei por ele para produzir uvas, ele produziu uvas silvestres?
What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?
5 Agora vou lhe dizer o que farei com meu vinhedo. Tirarei sua sebe, e ela será consumida. Eu derrubarei sua parede, e ela será pisoteada.
And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; I will break down the fence thereof, and it shall be trodden down:
6 Vou colocá-lo como um terreno baldio. Não será podada nem sachada, mas crescem brilhos e espinhos. Também ordenarei às nuvens que não chova chuva sobre ela”.
and I will lay it waste; it shall not be pruned nor hoed; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.
7 Para a vinha de Iavé dos Exércitos é a casa de Israel, e os homens de Judá, sua agradável planta. Ele buscava a justiça, mas eis que a opressão, por justiça, mas eis um grito de angústia.
For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.
8 Ai daqueles que se juntam casa a casa, que colocam campo a campo, até que não haja espaço, e você é feito para morar sozinho no meio da terra!
Woe unto them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there be no room, and ye be made to dwell alone in the midst of the land!
9 Aos meus ouvidos, Yahweh dos Exércitos diz: “Certamente muitas casas ficarão desoladas, mesmo grandes e bonitos, desocupados.
In mine ears [saith] the LORD of hosts, Of a truth many houses shall be desolate, even great and fair, without inhabitant.
10 Por dez acres de vinhedo deve render um banho, e um homer de sementes deve produzir uma efa”.
For ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and a homer of seed shall yield [but] an ephah.
11 Ai daqueles que se levantam cedo pela manhã, que podem seguir uma bebida forte, que ficam até tarde da noite, até que o vinho os inflama!
Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that tarry late into the night, till wine inflame them!
12 A harpa, a lira, o tamborim e a flauta, com vinho, estão em suas festas; mas não respeitam o trabalho de Yahweh, nem consideraram a operação de suas mãos.
And the harp and the lute, the tabret and the pipe, and wine, are [in] their feasts: but they regard not the work of the LORD, neither have they considered the operation of his hands.
13 Portanto, meu povo vai para o cativeiro por falta de conhecimento. Seus honoráveis homens estão famintos, e suas multidões estão ressequidas de sede.
Therefore my people are gone into captivity, for lack of knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude are parched with thirst.
14 Portanto, a Sheol ampliou seu desejo, e abriu sua boca sem medida; e sua glória, sua multidão, sua pompa, e aquele que se alegra entre eles, desce a ela. (Sheol h7585)
Therefore hell hath enlarged her desire, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth among them, descend [into it]. (Sheol h7585)
15 So o homem é trazido para baixo, a humanidade é humilhada, e os olhos dos arrogantes são humilhados;
And the mean man is bowed down, and the great man is humbled, and the eyes of the lofty are humbled:
16 mas Yahweh de Exércitos é exaltado na justiça, e Deus, o Santo, é santificado em justiça.
but the LORD of hosts is exalted in judgment, and God the Holy One is sanctified in righteousness.
17 Then os cordeiros pastarão como em seus pastos, e os estranhos comerão as ruínas dos ricos.
Then shall the lambs feed as in their pasture, and the waste places of the fat ones shall wanderers eat.
18 Ai daqueles que desenham a iniqüidade com cordas de falsidade, e maldade como com a corda da carroça,
Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope:
19 que dizem: “Que ele se apresse, que apresse seu trabalho, para que possamos vê-lo”; deixar que o conselho do Santo de Israel se aproxime e venha, para que possamos conhecê-lo”!
that say, Let him make speed, let him hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it!
20 Ai daqueles que chamam o mal de bem, e o bem de mal; que colocam a escuridão para a luz, e luz para as trevas; que põem amargo por doce, e doce para amargo!
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
21 Ai daqueles que são sábios a seus próprios olhos, e prudentes à sua própria vista!
Woe unto them that are wise their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
22 Ai daqueles que são poderosos para beber vinho, e campeões na mistura de bebidas fortes;
Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
23 que absolvem o culpado por um suborno, mas negar justiça para os inocentes!
which justify the wicked for a reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
24 Portanto, como a língua do fogo devora o restolho, e enquanto a grama seca se afunda na chama, portanto, sua raiz deve ser como podridão, e sua floração deve subir como pó, porque rejeitaram a lei de Yahweh dos exércitos, e desprezou a palavra do Santo de Israel.
Therefore as the tongue of fire devoureth the stubble, and as the dry grass sinketh down in the flame, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have rejected the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
25 Portanto, a raiva de Yahweh arde contra seu povo, e ele estendeu sua mão contra eles e os golpeou. As montanhas tremem, e seus cadáveres são como lixo no meio das ruas. Por tudo isso, sua raiva não é desviada, mas sua mão ainda está estendida.
Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them, and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were as refuse in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
26 Ele levantará uma bandeira para as nações de muito longe, e ele assobiará para eles desde o fim do mundo. Eis que eles virão rapidamente e com rapidez.
And he will lift up an ensign to the nations from far, and will hiss for them from the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly:
27 Ninguém deve se cansar nem tropeçar entre eles; ninguém deve adormecer nem dormir, nem o cinto de sua cintura deve ser desatado, nem a correia de suas sandálias estar quebrada,
None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken:
28 cujas setas são afiadas, e todos os seus arcos dobrados. Os cascos de seus cavalos serão como pederneira, e suas rodas como um redemoinho.
whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent; their horses’ hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind:
29 O rugido deles será como um leãozinho. Eles rugirão como leões jovens. Sim, eles devem rugir, e apreendem suas presas e as carregam, e não haverá ninguém para entregar.
their roaring shall be like a lion, they shall roar like young lions: yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the prey, and carry it away safe, and there shall be none to deliver.
30 Eles irão rugir contra eles naquele dia como o rugido do mar. Se alguém olha para a terra, eis que a escuridão e a aflição. A luz é escurecida em suas nuvens.
And they shall roar against them in that day like the roaring of the sea: and if one look unto the land, behold darkness [and] distress, and the light is darkened in the clouds thereof.
