Isaías 49
1 Ouça, ilhas, para mim. Ouçam, povos, de longe: Yahweh me chamou do ventre; de dentro de minha mãe, ele mencionou meu nome.
Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, all of you people, from far; The LORD has called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother has he made mention of my name.
2 Ele fez minha boca como uma espada afiada. Ele me escondeu na sombra de sua mão. Ele me fez um eixo polido. Ele me manteve por perto em sua aljava.
And he has made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand has he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver has he hid me;
3 Ele me disse: “Você é meu servo”, Israel, em quem eu serei glorificado”.
And said unto me, You are my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.
4 Mas eu disse: “Eu trabalhei em vão. Eu gastei minhas forças em vão para nada; mas certamente a justiça que me é devida está com Yahweh, e minha recompensa com meu Deus”.
Then I said, I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing, and in vain: yet surely my judgment is with the LORD, and my work with my God.
5 Agora Yahweh, aquele que me formou desde o ventre para ser seu servo, diz para trazer Jacob de novo até ele, e para reunir Israel a ele, pois sou honrado aos olhos de Yahweh, e meu Deus se tornou minha força.
And now, says the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength.
6 De fato, ele diz: “É muito leve uma coisa que você deveria ser meu servo para criar as tribos de Jacob”, e para restaurar os preservados de Israel. Eu também lhes darei luz para as nações, que você possa ser minha salvação até o fim da terra”.
And he said, It is a light thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give you for a light to the Gentiles, that you may be my salvation unto the end of the earth.
7 Yahweh, o Redentor de Israel, e seu Santo, diz a quem o homem despreza, a quem a nação abomina, a um servo dos governantes: “Os reis devem ver e se erguer, príncipes, e eles devem adorar, por causa de Yahweh que é fiel, mesmo o Santo de Israel, que o escolheu”.
Thus says the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despises, to him whom the nation detests, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose you.
8 Yahweh diz: “Respondi-lhe em um tempo aceitável”. Eu o ajudei em um dia de salvação. Eu o preservarei e lhe darei por um pacto do povo, para erguer a terra, para fazê-los herdar a herança desolada,
Thus says the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard you, and in a day of salvation have I helped you: and I will preserve you, and give you for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;
9 dizendo para aqueles que estão vinculados, “Saiam! para aqueles que estão na escuridão, “Mostrem-se! “Eles devem se alimentar ao longo dos caminhos, e suas pastagens devem estar em todas as alturas sem árvores.
That you may say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Show yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.
10 Eles não terão fome nem sede; nem o calor nem o sol os atingirão, pois quem tem piedade deles, os conduzirá. Ele os guiará por nascentes de água.
They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun strike them: for he that has mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.
11 Eu farei de todas as minhas montanhas uma estrada, e minhas estradas devem ser exaltadas.
And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.
12 Eis que estas devem vir de longe, e eis que estes vêm do norte e do oeste, e estes da terra de Sinim”.
Behold, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.
13 Cantem, céus, e alegres, terra! Cantem, montanhas! Pois Yahweh tem confortado seu povo, e terá compaixão de sua aflição.
Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD has comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.
14 Mas Zion disse: “Yahweh me abandonou”, e o Senhor se esqueceu de mim”.
But Zion said, The LORD has forsaken me, and my Lord has forgotten me.
15 “Uma mulher pode esquecer seu filho lactante, que ela não deveria ter compaixão pelo filho de seu ventre? Sim, estes podem esquecer, no entanto, não me esquecerei de você!
Can a woman forget her nursing infant, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget you.
16 Eis que eu o gravei nas palmas das minhas mãos. Suas paredes estão continuamente diante de mim.
Behold, I have graven you upon the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.
17 Seus filhos se apressam. Seus destruidores e aqueles que o devastaram o deixarão.
Your children shall make haste; your destroyers and they that made you waste shall go out of you.
18 Levante os olhos para todos os lados e veja: todos eles se reúnem, e vêm até você. Como eu vivo”, diz Yahweh, “você certamente se vestirá com todos eles como com um ornamento, e se veste com eles, como uma noiva.
Lift up your eyes round about, and behold: all these gather themselves together, and come to you. As I live, says the LORD, you shall surely clothe you with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them on you, as a bride does.
19 “Pois, quanto aos seus resíduos e seus lugares desolados, e sua terra que foi destruída, certamente agora essa terra será pequena demais para os habitantes, e aqueles que o engoliram estarão longe.
For your waste and your desolate places, and the land of your destruction, shall even now be too narrow by reason of the inhabitants, and they that swallowed you up shall be far away.
20 As crianças de seu luto dirão em seus ouvidos, “Este lugar é muito pequeno para mim. Dê-me um lugar para morar”.
The children which you shall have, after you have lost the other, shall say again in your ears, The place is too strait for me: give place to me that I may dwell.
21 Então você dirá em seu coração: 'Quem concebeu isto para mim, desde que fui enlutado de meus filhos e estou sozinho, um exilado e vagando para frente e para trás? Quem os criou? Eis que eu fiquei sozinho. Onde estavam estes?”
Then shall you say in your heart, Who has begotten me these, seeing I have lost my children, and am desolate, a captive, and removing back and forth? and who has brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where had they been?
22 O Senhor Javé diz: “Eis que levantarei minha mão para as nações”, e levanto minha bandeira para os povos. Eles trarão seus filhos em seu seio, e suas filhas devem ser carregadas nos ombros.
Thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring your sons in their arms, and your daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.
23 Os reis devem ser seus pais adotivos, e suas rainhas suas mães lactantes. Eles se curvarão diante de você com o rosto voltado para a terra, e lamber a poeira de seus pés. Então você saberá que eu sou Yahweh; e aqueles que esperam por mim não ficarão desapontados”.
And kings shall be your nursing fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers: they shall bow down to you with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of your feet; and you shall know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.
24 Será retirado o saque dos poderosos, ou os prisioneiros legítimos serão entregues?
Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?
25 Mas Yahweh diz: “Até os cativos dos poderosos serão levados”, e o saque recuperado dos ferozes, pois eu lutarei com aquele que lutar com você e eu salvarei seus filhos.
But thus says the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contends with you, and I will save your children.
26 Alimentarei com sua própria carne aqueles que o oprimem; e serão embriagados com seu próprio sangue, como no vinho doce. Então toda a carne saberá que eu, Yahweh, sou seu Salvador e seu Redentor, o Poderoso de Jacob”.
And I will feed them that oppress you with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am your Saviour and your Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
