Isaías 48
1 “Ouça isto, casa de Jacob, vocês que são chamados pelo nome de Israel, e saíram das águas de Judá. Você jura pelo nome de Yahweh, e fazer menção ao Deus de Israel, mas não em verdade, nem em retidão...
"Hear this, house of Jacob, you who are called by the name of Israel, and have come forth out of the waters of Judah; who swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness
2 pois eles se dizem cidadãos da cidade santa, e contar com o Deus de Israel; Yahweh dos Exércitos é seu nome.
(for they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves on the God of Israel; the LORD of hosts is his name):
3 Declarei as antigas coisas de outrora. Sim, eles saíram da minha boca, e eu os revelei. Eu as fiz de repente, e elas aconteceram.
I have declared the former things from of old; yes, they went forth out of my mouth, and I caused them to hear it. Suddenly I did them, and they happened.
4 Porque eu sabia que você é obstinado, e seu pescoço é um tendão de ferro, e sua testa de bronze;
Because I knew that you are obstinate, and your neck is an iron sinew, and your brow bronze;
5 therefore Eu o declarei de outrora; antes que isso acontecesse, eu mostrei a você; para não dizer: “Meu ídolo as fez”. Minha imagem gravada e minha imagem derretida os comandou”.
therefore I have declared it to you from of old; before it came to pass I showed it to you; lest you should say, 'My idol has done them, and my engraved image, and my molten image, has commanded them.'
6 Você já ouviu falar. Agora veja tudo isso. E você, não vai declarar isso? “Eu lhes mostrei coisas novas a partir deste momento, mesmo coisas escondidas, que você não conhece.
You have heard it; see all this; and you, will you not declare it? "I have shown you new things from this time, even hidden things, which you have not known.
7 Eles são criados agora, e não são de antigamente. Antes de hoje, você não os ouviu, para não dizer: “Eis que eu os conhecia”.
They are created now, and not from of old; and before this day you did not hear them; lest you should say, 'Look, I knew them.'
8 Sim, você não ouviu. Sim, você não sabia. Sim, de outrora sua orelha não foi aberta, pois eu sabia que você lidava de forma muito traiçoeira, e foram chamados de transgressores do útero.
Yes, you did not hear; yes, you did not know; yes, from of old your ear was not opened: for I knew that you dealt very treacherously, and was called a transgressor from the womb.
9 Por meu nome, vou adiar minha raiva, e por meus elogios, eu o retenho para vocês para que eu não o interrompa.
For my name's sake will I defer my anger, and for my praise will I refrain for you, that I not cut you off.
10 Eis que eu vos refinei, mas não como prata. Eu o escolhi no forno da aflição.
Look, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have chosen you in the furnace of affliction.
11 Para meu próprio bem, por meu próprio bem, eu o farei; como meu nome seria profanado? Eu não darei minha glória a outro.
For my own sake, for my own sake, will I do it; for how should my name be profaned? I will not give my glory to another.
12 “Escuta-me, ó Jacob, e Israel, meu chamado: Eu sou ele. Eu sou o primeiro. Eu também sou o último.
"Listen to me, O Jacob, and Israel my called: I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.
13 Sim, minha mão lançou os alicerces da terra, e minha mão direita se espalhou pelos céus. quando eu os chamo, eles se levantam juntos.
Yes, my hand has laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand has spread out the heavens: when I call to them, they stand up together.
14 “Reúnam-se, todos vocês, e ouçam! Quem entre eles declarou estas coisas? Aquele que Yahweh ama fará o que gosta para a Babilônia, e seu braço será contra os caldeus.
"Let all of them assemble and hear; who among them has declared these things? He whom the LORD loves shall perform his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans.
15 Eu, até mesmo eu, já falei. Sim, eu o chamei. Eu o trouxe e ele deve fazer seu caminho prosperar.
I, even I, have spoken; yes, I have called him; I have brought him, and he shall make his way prosperous.
16 “Aproxime-se de mim e ouça isto: “Desde o início, não tenho falado em segredo; desde o momento em que isso aconteceu, eu estava lá”. Agora o Senhor Yahweh me enviou com seu Espírito.
"Come near to me and hear this: "From the beginning I have not spoken in secret; from the time that it was, there am I." Now the LORD has sent me, with his Spirit.
17 Yahweh, seu Redentor, o Santo de Israel, diz: “Eu sou Yahweh, seu Deus”, que lhe ensina a lucrar, que o conduz pelo caminho que você deve seguir.
Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way that you should go.
18 Oh, que vocês tinham ouvido meus mandamentos! Então sua paz teria sido como um rio e sua retidão como as ondas do mar.
But would that you had listened to my commandments. Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.
19 Sua descendência também teria sido como a areia e os descendentes de seu corpo como seus grãos. Seu nome não seria cortado nem destruído de antes de mim”.
Your descendants would have been as the sand, and the offspring of your body like its grains; his name not be cut off nor destroyed from before me.
20 Deixe a Babilônia! Fugir dos caldeus! Com uma voz de canto, anunciem isto, dizer isso até o fim do mundo; dizem: “Javé redimiu seu servo Jacob!”
Go forth from Babylon, flee from the Chaldeans; with a voice of singing declare, tell this, send it out throughout the earth. Say, 'The LORD has redeemed his servant Jacob.'
21 Eles não tiveram sede quando ele os conduziu através dos desertos. Ele fez com que as águas saíssem da rocha para eles. Ele também dividiu a rocha e as águas jorraram para fora.
They did not thirst when he led them through the deserts; he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them; he split the rock also, and the waters gushed out.
22 “Não há paz”, diz Yahweh, “para os ímpios”.
"There is no peace," says the LORD, "for the wicked."
