Isaías 38
1 Naqueles dias, Hezekiah estava doente e perto da morte. O profeta Isaías, filho de Amoz, veio até ele e lhe disse: “Javé diz: 'Ponha sua casa em ordem, pois você morrerá, e não viverá'”.
About that time was Hezekiah sicke vnto the death, and the Prophet Isaiah sonne of Amoz came vnto him, and sayd vnto him, Thus sayth the Lord, Put thine house in an order, for thou shalt dye, and not liue.
2 Então Hezekiah virou seu rosto para a parede e orou para Javé,
Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, and prayed to the Lord,
3 e disse: “Lembre-se agora, Javé, eu lhe imploro, como eu caminhei diante de você em verdade e com um coração perfeito, e fiz o que é bom à sua vista”. Então Hezekiah chorou amargamente.
And saide, I beseeche thee, Lord, remember nowe howe I haue walked before thee in trueth, and with a perfite heart, and haue done that which is good in thy sight: and Hezekiah wept sore.
4 Então veio a palavra de Javé a Isaías, dizendo:
Then came the worde of the Lord to Isaiah, saying,
5 “Vá, e diga a Javé, 'Javé, o Deus de Davi, seu pai, diz: “Ouvi sua oração. Eu vi suas lágrimas. Eis que acrescentarei quinze anos à sua vida”.
Goe, and say vnto Hezekiah, Thus saith the Lord God of Dauid thy father, I haue heard thy prayer, and seene thy teares: behold, I will adde vnto thy dayes fifteene yeeres.
6 Eu te livrarei e a esta cidade da mão do rei da Assíria, e defenderei esta cidade.
And I will deliuer thee out of the hand of the King of Asshur, and this citie: for I will defende this citie.
7 Este será o sinal para você de Iavé, de que Iavé fará isto que ele falou.
And this signe shalt thou haue of ye Lord, that ye Lord will do this thing that he hath spoken,
8 Eis que farei com que a sombra sobre o relógio de sol, que caiu sobre o relógio de sol de Ahaz com o sol, volte dez passos para trás”'”. Assim, o sol retornou dez passos sobre o relógio de sol sobre o qual se tinha posto.
Beholde, I will bring againe the shadowe of the degrees (whereby it is gone downe in the diall of Ahaz by the sunne) ten degrees backeward: so the sunne returned by tenne degrees, by the which degrees it was gone downe.
9 Os escritos de Ezequias, rei de Judá, quando ele estava doente, e tinha se recuperado de sua doença:
The writing of Hezekiah King of Iudah, when he had bene sicke, and was recouered of his sickenesse.
10 Eu disse: “No meio da minha vida eu entro nos portões do Sheol. Estou privado do resíduo dos meus anos”. (Sheol h7585)
I saide in the cutting off of my dayes, I shall goe to the gates of the graue: I am depriued of the residue of my yeeres. (Sheol h7585)
11 Eu disse: “Eu não verei Yah, Yah, na terra dos vivos. Não verei mais o homem com os habitantes do mundo.
I said, I shall not see the Lord, euen the Lord in the land of the liuing: I shall see man no more among the inhabitants of the world.
12 Minha morada foi removida, e é levado para longe de mim como uma tenda de pastor. Eu enrolei minha vida como um tecelão. Ele me cortará do tear. De dia até à noite, você fará de mim um fim.
Mine habitation is departed, and is remoued from me, like a shepheards tent: I haue cut off like a weauer my life: he will cut me off from the height: from day to night, thou wilt make an ende of me.
13 Esperei pacientemente até de manhã. Ele quebra todos os meus ossos como um leão. De dia até à noite, você fará de mim um fim.
I rekoned to the morning: but he brake all my bones, like a lion: from day to night wilt thou make an ende of me.
14 Eu falava como uma andorinha ou um guindaste. Eu gemia como uma pomba. Meus olhos enfraquecem o olhar para cima. Senhor, eu sou oprimido. Seja minha segurança”.
Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourne as a doue: mine eies were lift vp on high: O Lord, it hath oppressed me, comfort me.
15 O que vou dizer? Ele falou comigo, e ele mesmo o fez. Caminharei cuidadosamente durante todos os meus anos por causa da angústia da minha alma.
What shall I say? for he hath said it to me, and he hath done it: I shall walke weakely all my yeeres in the bitternesse of my soule.
16 Senhor, os homens vivem por estas coisas; e meu espírito encontra vida em todos eles. Você me restaura, e me faz viver.
O Lord, to them that ouerliue them, and to all that are in them, the life of my spirite shalbe knowen, that thou causedst me to sleepe and hast giuen life to me.
17 Eis que, pela paz, tive uma grande angústia, mas você tem apaixonado por minha alma e a libertou do poço da corrupção; pois você jogou todos os meus pecados nas suas costas.
Beholde, for felicitie I had bitter griefe, but it was thy pleasure to deliuer my soule from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sinnes behinde thy backe.
18 Pois a Sheol não pode elogiá-lo. A morte não pode celebrá-lo. Aqueles que descem ao poço não podem esperar por sua verdade. (Sheol h7585)
For the graue cannot confesse thee: death cannot praise thee: they that goe downe into the pit, cannot hope for thy trueth. (Sheol h7585)
19 Os vivos, os vivos, ele vos louvará, como eu o faço hoje. O pai deve dar a conhecer sua verdade aos filhos.
But the liuing, the liuing, he shall confesse thee, as I doe this day: the father to the children shall declare thy trueth.
20 Yahweh vai me salvar. Portanto, vamos cantar minhas canções com instrumentos de corda todos os dias de nossa vida na casa de Yahweh.
The Lord was ready to saue me: therefore we will sing my song, all the dayes of our life in the House of the Lord.
21 Now Isaías tinha dito: “Deixe-os pegar um bolo de figos e colocá-lo para uma cataplasma a ferver, e ele se recuperará”.
Then said Isaiah, Take a lumpe of drye figs and lay it vpon the boyle, and he shall recouer.
22 Hezekiah também tinha dito: “Qual é o sinal de que irei à casa de Yahweh?”
Also Hezekiah had said, What is ye signe, that I shall goe vp into the House of the Lord?
