Isaías 33
1 Ai de vocês que destroem, mas não foram destruídos, e quem o traiu, mas ninguém o traiu! Quando você tiver terminado de destruir, será destruído; e quando você tiver terminado a traição, será traído.
Woe to thee that destroyest, and thou wast not destroyed; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! When thou hast ceased to destroy, thou shalt be destroyed; and when thou hast made an end of dealing treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.
2 Yahweh, seja gracioso conosco. Nós esperamos por você. Seja nossa força todas as manhãs, nossa salvação também no momento de problemas.
O Jehovah, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou our arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.
3 Com o barulho do trovão, os povos fugiram. Quando você se levanta, as nações estão dispersas.
At the noise of the tumult the peoples are fled; at the lifting up of thyself the nations are scattered.
4 Seu saque será recolhido quando a lagarta se reunir. Os homens saltarão sobre ele como os gafanhotos saltam.
And your spoil shall be gathered as the caterpillar gathereth: as locusts leap shall men leap upon it.
5 Yahweh é exaltado, pois mora nas alturas. Ele encheu Zion de justiça e retidão.
Jehovah is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with justice and righteousness.
6 Haverá estabilidade em seu tempo, abundância de salvação, sabedoria e conhecimento. O medo de Yahweh é seu tesouro.
And there shall be stability in thy times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge: the fear of Jehovah is thy treasure.
7 Veja, seus valentes choram lá fora; os embaixadores da paz choram amargamente.
Behold, their valiant ones cry without; the ambassadors of peace weep bitterly.
8 As rodovias estão desoladas. O homem viajante cessa. O convênio é quebrado. Ele desprezou as cidades. Ele não respeita o homem.
The highways lie waste, the wayfaring man ceaseth: [the enemy] hath broken the covenant, he hath despised the cities, he regardeth not man.
9 A terra chora e definha. O Líbano está confuso e murcha. Sharon é como um deserto, e Bashan e Carmel são despojados.
The land mourneth and languisheth; Lebanon is confounded and withereth away; Sharon is like a desert; and Bashan and Carmel shake off [their leaves].
10 “Agora eu me levantarei”, diz Yahweh. “Agora eu me levantarei”. Agora vou ser exaltado.
Now will I arise, saith Jehovah; now will I lift up myself; now will I be exalted.
11 Você irá conceber o palhiço. Você dará à luz o restolho. Seu fôlego é um fogo que vai devorá-lo.
Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath is a fire that shall devour you.
12 Os povos serão como a queima de cal, como espinhos que são cortados e queimados no fogo.
And the peoples shall be as the burnings of lime, as thorns cut down, that are burned in the fire.
13 Ouça, você que está muito longe, o que eu fiz; e, vocês que estão perto, reconheçam minha força”.
Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might.
14 Os pecadores em Sião têm medo. O tremor tomou conta dos que não têm Deus. Quem entre nós pode viver com o fogo devorador? Quem entre nós pode viver com a queima eterna?
The sinners in Zion are afraid; trembling hath seized the godless ones: Who among us can dwell with the devouring fire? who among us can dwell with everlasting burnings?
15 Aquele que caminha com retidão e fala sem culpa, aquele que despreza o ganho das opressões, que gesticula com suas mãos, recusando-se a aceitar um suborno, que impede seus ouvidos de ouvir falar de derramamento de sangue, e fecha os olhos para não olhar para o mal...
He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from taking a bribe, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from looking upon evil:
16 ele vai morar no alto. Seu lugar de defesa será a fortaleza das rochas. Seu pão será fornecido. Suas águas estarão certas.
He shall dwell on high; his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks; his bread shall be given [him]; his waters shall be sure.
17 Seus olhos verão o rei em sua beleza. Eles verão uma terra distante.
Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold a land that reacheth afar.
18 Seu coração meditará sobre o terror. Onde está aquele que contou? Onde está aquele que pesou? Onde está aquele que contou as torres?
Thy heart shall muse on the terror: Where is he that counted, where is he that weighed [the tribute]? where is he that counted the towers?
19 Você não verá mais as pessoas ferozes, um povo de um discurso profundo que você não consegue compreender, com uma linguagem estranha que você não consegue entender.
Thou shalt not see the fierce people, a people of a deep speech that thou canst not comprehend, of a strange tongue that thou canst not understand.
20 Veja em Zion, a cidade de nossos festivais nomeados. Seus olhos verão Jerusalém, uma morada tranqüila, uma tenda que não será removida. Suas estacas nunca serão arrancadas, nem nenhum de seus cordões será quebrado.
Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tent that shall not be removed, the stakes whereof shall never be plucked up, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.
21 Mas lá Yahweh estará conosco em majestade, um lugar de amplos rios e riachos, na qual nenhuma galera com remos irá, nem nenhum navio galante passará por lá.
But there Jehovah will be with us in majesty, a place of broad rivers and streams, wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby.
22 Pois Yahweh é nosso juiz. Yahweh é nosso legislador. Yahweh é nosso rei. Ele nos salvará.
For Jehovah is our judge, Jehovah is our lawgiver, Jehovah is our king; he will save us.
23 Seu armamento é desvinculado. Eles não puderam fortalecer o pé de seu mastro. Eles não conseguiam espalhar a vela. Então a presa de um grande saque foi dividida. O coxo levou a presa.
Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not strengthen the foot of their mast, they could not spread the sail: then was the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame took the prey.
24 O habitante não vai dizer: “Estou doente”. As pessoas que habitam ali serão perdoadas de sua iniqüidade.
And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.
