Isaías 3
1 Pois, eis que o Senhor, Javé dos Exércitos, retira de Jerusalém e de Judá o abastecimento e o apoio, o fornecimento total de pão, e todo o fornecimento de água;
For, behold, the Lord, the Eternal of hosts, doth remove from Jerusalem and from Judah stay and staff, every stay of bread, and every stay of water.
2 o homem poderoso, o homem de guerra, o juiz, o profeta, o adivinho, o mais velho,
The hero, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,
3 o capitão de cinqüenta, o homem honrado, o conselheiro, o habilidoso artesão, e o feiticeiro esperto.
The captain of fifty, and the honorable man, and the counsellor, and the skilful artificer, and the eloquent orator.
4 Darei aos rapazes para serem seus príncipes, e as crianças devem governar sobre eles.
And I will set up boys as their princes, and children shall rule over them.
5 O povo será oprimido, todos por outro, e todos por seu vizinho. A criança se comportará orgulhosamente contra o velhote, e os malvados contra os honrados.
And so shall the people press man against man, and one against the other: the boy shall demean himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honorable.
6 De fato, um homem deve tomar posse de seu irmão na casa de seu pai, dizendo, “Você tem roupas, você é nosso governante”, e que esta ruína esteja sob sua mão”.
When a man will seize hold on his brother in the house of his father, [saying, ] Thou hast a garment, thou shalt be our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand:
7 Naquele dia ele vai gritar, dizendo: “Eu não serei um curandeiro”; pois em minha casa não há nem pão nem roupa. Não me farás governar o povo”.
He will swear on that day, saying, I will not be a chief; and in my house is neither bread nor clothing; you shall not appoint me a ruler of the people.
8 Pois Jerusalém está arruinada, e Judá está caído; porque sua língua e seus feitos são contra Yahweh, para provocar os olhos de sua glória.
For Jerusalem is sunk to decay, and Judah is fallen; because their tongue and their doings are against the Lord, to incense the eyes of his glory.
9 O olhar de seus rostos testemunha contra eles. Eles desfilam seus pecados como Sodoma. Eles não o escondem. Ai de sua alma! Pois eles trouxeram o desastre sobre si mesmos.
The boldness of their face testifieth against them; and like Sodom they tell openly their sin, they conceal it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have prepared evil unto themselves.
10 Diga aos justos que estará bem com eles, pois eles comerão o fruto de suas obras.
Say ye to the righteous, that he hath done well; for the fruit of their doings shall they eat.
11 Ai dos malvados! O desastre está sobre eles, pelos atos de suas mãos serão pagos a eles.
Woe unto the wicked who doeth evil; for the recompense of his hands shall be bestowed on him.
12 As para meu povo, as crianças são seus opressores, e as mulheres governam sobre eles. Meu povo, aqueles que o lideram, fazem com que você erre, e destruir o caminho de seus caminhos.
My people! their oppressors are children, and women rule over them. O my people! thy leaders cause thee to err, and the direction of thy paths they corrupt.
13 Yahweh se levanta para lutar, e está de pé para julgar os povos.
The Lord is stepped forth to plead, and standeth up to judge the people.
14 Yahweh entrará em julgamento com os anciãos de seu povo e seus líderes: “É você quem comeu a vinha. O saque dos pobres está em suas casas.
The Lord will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and their princes; but ye—ye have eaten up the vineyard; the plunder of the poor is in your houses.
15 What você quer dizer que você esmaga meu povo, e moer o rosto dos pobres...” diz o Senhor, Yahweh dos Exércitos.
What mean ye that ye crush my people, and grind down the faces of the poor? saith the Lord the Eternal of hosts.
16 Moreover Yahweh disse: “Porque as filhas de Sião são arrogantes”, e caminhar com o pescoço esticado e os olhos flertados, andando daintily como eles andam, ornamentos que se agitam em seus pés;
And the Lord said, Forasmuch as the daughters of Zion are proud, and walk with stretched forth necks and casting about their eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:
17 portanto, o Senhor traz feridas na coroa da cabeça das mulheres de Sião, e Yahweh fará seu couro cabeludo careca”.
Therefore will the Lord smite with leprosy the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the Lord will lay open their nakedness.
18 Naquele dia o Senhor tirará a beleza de seus tornozeleiras, as fitas de cabeça, os colares crescentes,
On that day will the Lord take away the beauty of their tinkling shoe-buckles, and the hair-nets, and the crescent-shaped ornaments,
19 the os brincos, as pulseiras, os véus,
The drops, and the bracelets, and the mufflers,
20 os toucadores, as correntes de tornozelo, as faixas, os recipientes de perfume, os encantos,
The bonnets, and the foot-chains, and the head-bands, and the tablets, and the earrings,
21 os anéis de sinalização, os anéis de nariz,
The finger-rings, and nose-jewels,
22 the as túnicas finas, as capas, as capas, as bolsas,
The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the shawls, and the pockets.
23 the os espelhos de mão, as roupas de linho fino, as tiaras e os xales.
The mirrors, and the chemisettes, and the turbans, and the long vails.
24 Acontecerá que ao invés de especiarias doces, haverá podridão; ao invés de um cinto, uma corda; em vez de cabelos bem penteados, calvície; ao invés de um manto, um uso de pano de saco; e branding ao invés de beleza.
And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be corruption; and instead of a girdle a rope; and instead of curled hair baldness; and instead of a wide garment a girding of sackcloth, a mark of burning instead of beauty.
25 Seus homens devem cair pela espada, e seus poderosos na guerra.
Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty ones in the war.
26 Her portões devem lamentar e lamentar. Ela deve estar desolada e sentar-se no chão.
And then shall her gates lament and mourn; and stript of all shall she sit upon the ground.
