Isaías 25
1 Yahweh, você é meu Deus. Eu te exaltarei! Louvarei seu nome, pois você fez coisas maravilhosas, coisas planejadas há muito tempo, em completa fidelidade e verdade.
O LORD, thou [art] my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful [things]; [thy] counsels of old [are] faithfulness [and] truth.
2 Pois você transformou uma cidade em uma pilha, uma cidade fortificada em uma ruína, um palácio de estranhos para não ser cidade. Ela nunca será construída.
For thou hast made of a city a heap; [of] a fortified city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.
3 Portanto, um povo forte o glorificará. Uma cidade de nações fantásticas terá medo de você.
Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee.
4 Pois você tem sido um refúgio para os pobres, um refúgio para os necessitados em sua aflição, um refúgio contra a tempestade, uma sombra do calor, quando a explosão dos temidos é como uma tempestade contra a parede.
For thou hast been a defense to the poor, a defense to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones [is] as a storm [against] the wall.
5 Como o calor em um lugar seco, você derrubará o ruído de estranhos; como o calor pela sombra de uma nuvem, o canto dos temidos será baixado.
Thou wilt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; [even] the heat with the shade of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.
6 Nesta montanha, Yahweh de Exércitos fará de todos os povos um banquete de carne de escolha, um banquete de vinhos de escolha, de carne de escolha cheia de tutano, de vinhos de escolha bem refinados.
And on this mountain will the LORD of hosts make to all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.
7 Ele destruirá nesta montanha a superfície da cobertura que cobre todos os povos, e o véu que está espalhado por todas as nações.
And he will destroy on this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail [that is] spread over all nations.
8 Ele engoliu a morte para sempre! O Senhor Yahweh limpará as lágrimas de todos os rostos. Ele tirará a repreensão de seu povo de toda a terra, pois Yahweh o disse.
He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people will he remove from all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken [it].
9 Será dito naquele dia: “Eis que este é o nosso Deus! Esperamos por ele, e ele nos salvará! Este é Yahweh! Esperamos por ele. Ficaremos felizes e nos alegraremos com sua salvação”!
And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this [is] our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD, we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
10 Pois a mão de Iavé descansará nesta montanha. Moab será pisado em seu lugar, mesmo como a palha é pisada na água do monte de estrume.
For on this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.
11 Ele estenderá suas mãos no meio dele, como quem nada estende as mãos para nadar, mas seu orgulho será humilhado junto com o ofício de suas mãos.
And he will spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth [his hands] to swim: and he will bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.
12 Ele derrubou a alta fortaleza de suas muralhas, baixou, e trouxe ao chão, até mesmo ao pó.
And the fortress of the high fort of thy walls will he bring down, lay low, [and] bring to the ground, [even] to the dust.
