Oséias 13
1 Quando Ephraim falou, houve tremores. Ele se exaltou em Israel, mas quando ele se tornou culpado através de Baal, ele morreu.
“When Ephraim spoke, there was trembling. He exalted himself in Israel, but he became guilty because of Baal worship, and he died.
2 Agora eles pecam cada vez mais, e se fizeram imagens derretidas de sua prata, mesmo ídolos, de acordo com seu próprio entendimento, todos eles o trabalho dos artesãos. Dizem deles: “Eles oferecem sacrifício humano e beijam os bezerros”.
Now they sin more and more. They make cast metal figures from their silver, idols as skillfully worked as possible, all of them the work of the craftsmen. People say of them, 'These men who sacrifice kiss calves.'
3 Portanto, eles serão como a névoa da manhã, como o orvalho que passa cedo, como o palhiço que é conduzido com o redemoinho para fora da eira, e como a fumaça fora da chaminé.
So they will be like the morning clouds, like the dew that goes away early, like the chaff that is driven by the wind away from a threshing floor, and like smoke out of a chimney.
4 “No entanto, eu sou Yahweh, vosso Deus, da terra do Egito; e não reconhecerá nenhum deus além de mim, e, além de mim, não há salvador.
But I am Yahweh your God from the land of Egypt. You must acknowledge no God but me; you must acknowledge that besides me, there is no other savior.
5 Eu o conheci no deserto, na terra da grande seca.
I knew you in the wilderness, in the land of great dryness.
6 De acordo com seus pastos, assim eles foram preenchidos; eles estavam cheios, e seu coração estava exaltado. Portanto, eles se esqueceram de mim.
When you had pasture, then you became full; and when you were filled, your heart became lifted up. For that reason you forgot me.
7 Portanto, eu sou como um leão para eles. Como um leopardo, eu me esconderei pelo caminho.
I will become like a lion to them; like a leopard I will watch along the path.
8 Vou encontrá-los como um urso que está de luto por seus filhotes, e rasgarão a cobertura de seu coração. Aí os devorarei como uma leoa. O animal selvagem vai rasgá-los.
I will attack them as a bear that is robbed of her cubs. I will rip open their chests, and there I will devour them as a lion, as a wild beast would tear them to pieces.
9 Você está destruído, Israel, porque você está contra mim, contra seu ajudante.
I will destroy you, Israel; who will be able to help you?
10 Onde está seu rei agora, para que ele possa salvá-lo em todas as suas cidades? E seus juízes, dos quais você disse: “Dê-me um rei e príncipes”?
Where now is your king, that he may save you in all your cities? Where are your rulers, about whom you said to me, 'Give me a king and princes'?
11 Eu lhe dei um rei em minha raiva, e o levaram na minha ira.
I gave you a king in my anger, and I took him away in my wrath.
12 A culpa de Ephraim é armazenada. Seu pecado é armazenado.
Ephraim's iniquity has been stored up; his guilt has been stored up.
13 As tristezas de uma mulher que está de parto virão sobre ele. Ele é um filho insensato, pois quando chega a hora, ele não vem para a abertura do útero.
Pains of childbirth will come on him, but he is an unwise son, for when it is time to be born, he does not come out of the womb.
14 Eu os resgatarei do poder do Sheol. Eu os resgatarei da morte! Morte, onde estão suas pragas? Sheol, onde está sua destruição? “A compaixão será escondida dos meus olhos”. (Sheol h7585)
Will I rescue them from the hand of Sheol? Will I rescue them from death? Where, death, are your plagues? Where, Sheol, is your destruction? Compassion is hidden from my eyes.” (Sheol h7585)
15 Embora ele seja frutífero entre seus irmãos, um vento leste virá, o sopro de Yahweh vindo do deserto; e sua mola se tornará seca, e sua fonte estará seca. Ele saqueará o depósito do tesouro.
Though Ephraim is prosperous among his brothers, an east wind will come; the wind of Yahweh will blow in from the wilderness. Ephraim's spring will dry up, and his well will have no water. His enemy will plunder his storehouse of every precious object.
16 Samaria suportará sua culpa, pois ela se rebelou contra seu Deus. Eles cairão pela espada. Seus bebês serão despedaçados em pedaços, e suas mulheres grávidas serão rasgadas”.
Samaria will be guilty, for she has rebelled against her God. They will fall by the sword; their young children will be dashed to pieces, and their pregnant women will be ripped open.
