Hebreus 3
1 Portanto, santos irmãos, participantes de um chamado celestial, considerem o Apóstolo e Sumo Sacerdote de nossa confissão: Jesus,
Whence, holy brethren, partners, in a heavenly calling, attentively consider the Apostle and High—priest of our confession—Jesus
2 que foi fiel àquele que o nomeou, como também Moisés esteve em toda a sua casa.
As one, faithful, to him who made him: as, Moses also, in [all] his house.
3 Pois ele foi considerado digno de mais glória do que Moisés, porque aquele que construiu a casa tem mais honra do que a casa.
For, of more glory than Moses, hath, this one been counted worthy—by as much as more honour than, the house, hath, he that prepared it;
4 Pois cada casa é construída por alguém; mas aquele que construiu todas as coisas é Deus.
For, every house, is prepared by someone, —but, he that hath prepared all things, is, God.
5 Moisés de fato foi fiel em toda sua casa como servo, para um testemunho das coisas que depois foram ditas,
Even Moses, indeed, was faithful in all his house, as an attendant, for a witness of the things which were to be spoken;
6 mas Cristo é fiel como um Filho sobre sua casa. Nós somos sua casa, se mantivermos firme nossa confiança e a glória de nossa esperança até o fim.
But, Christ, as, a Son, over his house, —whose house are, we, —if, the freedom of speech and boast of the hope, [throughout, firm, ] we hold fast.
7 Portanto, mesmo como diz o Espírito Santo, “Hoje, se você quiser ouvir sua voz,
Wherefore, —according as saith the Holy Spirit—To-day, if, unto his voice ye would hearken, do not
8 não endureçam seus corações como na rebelião, no dia do julgamento, no deserto,
harden your hearts, —as in the embitterment, in the day of testing in the desert,
9 onde seus pais me testaram e me testaram, e vi minhas escrituras por quarenta anos.
When your fathers tested by proving, and saw my works forty years.
10 Por isso, fiquei descontente com essa geração, e disse: “Eles sempre erram em seu coração”, mas eles não conheciam meus caminhos”.
Wherefore I was sore vexed with this generation, and said, Always err they in their heart; —howbeit, they, learned not my ways:
11 Como jurei em minha ira, “Eles não entrarão no meu descanso”.
So I sware in mine anger—they shall not enter into my rest!—
12 Cuidado, irmãos, para que não haja em nenhum de vocês um coração maligno de incredulidade, ao se afastar do Deus vivo;
Be taking heed, brethren, lest at any time, there shall be in any one of you, a wicked heart of unbelief, in revolting from a Living God.
13 mas exortar uns aos outros dia após dia, desde que seja chamado de “hoje”, para que nenhum de vocês se endureça com o engano do pecado.
But be exhorting one another, on each successive day, —while the To-day is being named! lest any from among you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
14 Pois nos tornamos participantes de Cristo, se mantivermos o início de nossa confiança firme até o fim,
For, partners of the Christ, have we become, —if, at least, the beginning of the confidence, throughout, firm, we hold fast:
15 enquanto se diz, “Hoje, se você quiser ouvir sua voz, não endureçam seus corações, como na rebelião”.
So long as it is said—To-day, if, unto his voice, ye would hearken, do not harden your hearts, —as in the embitterment.
16 Para quem, quando ouviram falar, se rebelaram? Não foram todos aqueles que saíram do Egito liderados por Moisés?
For, who, though they heard, caused embitterment? Nay, indeed! did not all who come forth out of Egypt through Moses?
17 Com quem ele ficou indignado durante quarenta anos? Não foi com aqueles que pecaram, cujos corpos caíram no deserto?
But, with whom, was be sore vexed forty years? Was it not with them who sinned, whose dead bodies fell in the desert?
18 A quem ele jurou que não entrariam no seu descanso, mas àqueles que foram desobedientes?
But, unto whom, sware he, that they should not enter into his rest, —save unto them who were obstinate?
19 Vemos que eles não puderam entrar por causa da incredulidade.
And we see, that they were not able to enter, because of unbelief.
