Gênesis 35

1 Deus disse a Jacob: “Levanta-te, vai até Betel, e vive lá. Faça lá um altar para Deus, que lhe apareceu quando você fugiu da face de Esaú, seu irmão”.

Then God sayde to Iaakob, Arise, goe vp to Beth-el and dwell there, and make there an altar vnto God, that appeared vnto thee, when thou fleddest from Esau thy brother.

2 Então Jacob disse à sua casa, e a todos que estavam com ele: “Guardem os deuses estrangeiros que estão entre vocês, purifiquem-se e mudem suas roupas”.

Then saide Iaakob vnto his houshold and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and clense your selues, and change your garments:

3 Vamos levantar-nos e subir até Betel. Farei ali um altar a Deus, que me respondeu no dia da minha angústia, e estava comigo no caminho em que eu ia”.

For we will rise and goe vp to Beth-el, and I will make an altar there vnto God, which heard me in the day of my tribulation, and was with me in the way which I went.

4 Eles deram a Jacó todos os deuses estrangeiros que estavam em suas mãos, e os anéis que estavam em seus ouvidos; e Jacó os escondeu debaixo do carvalho que era de Shechem.

And they gaue vnto Iaakob all the strange gods, which were in their hands, and all their earings which were in their eares, and Iaakob hidde them vnder an oke, which was by Shechem.

5 Eles viajaram, e um terror de Deus estava sobre as cidades que os rodeavam, e não perseguiram os filhos de Jacó.

Then they went on their iourney, and the feare of God was vpon the cities that were roud about them: so that they did not follow after the sonnes of Iaakob.

6 Então Jacó veio para Luz (ou seja, Betel), que está na terra de Canaã, ele e todas as pessoas que estavam com ele.

So came Iaakob to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan: (the same is Beth-el) hee and all the people that was with him.

7 Ele construiu ali um altar, e chamou o lugar de El Beth El; porque ali Deus lhe foi revelado, quando ele fugiu da face de seu irmão.

And he built there an altar, and had called the place, The God of Beth-el, because that God appeared vnto him there, when he fled from his brother.

8 Deborah, enfermeira de Rebekah, morreu, e foi enterrada abaixo de Betel sob o carvalho; e seu nome foi chamado Allon Bacuth.

Then Deborah Rebekahs nourse dyed, and was buried beneath Beth-el vnder an oke: and he called the name of it Allon Bachuth.

9 Deus apareceu novamente a Jacob, quando veio de Paddan Aram, e o abençoou.

Againe God appeared vnto Iaakob, after he came out of Padan Aram, and blessed him.

10 Deus disse a ele: “Seu nome é Jacó. Vosso nome não será mais Jacó, mas vosso nome será Israel”. Ele o nomeou Israel.

Moreouer God said vnto him, Thy name is Iaakob: thy name shalbe no more called Iaakob, but Israel shalbe thy name: and hee called his name Israel.

11 Deus disse a ele: “Eu sou Deus Todo-Poderoso”. Sede fecundos e multiplicai-vos”. Uma nação e uma companhia de nações serão de ti, e reis sairão do teu corpo.

Againe God said vnto him, I am God all sufficient. growe, and multiplie. a nation and a multitude of nations shall spring of thee, and Kings shall come out of thy loynes.

12 A terra que eu dei a Abraão e Isaac, eu a darei a vocês, e a seus descendentes depois de vocês, eu darei a terra”.

Also I will giue the lande, which I gaue to Abraham and Izhak, vnto thee: and vnto thy seede after thee will I giue that land.

13 Deus subiu dele no lugar onde ele falou com ele.

So God ascended from him in the place where he had talked with him.

14 Jacob ergueu um pilar no lugar onde falou com ele, um pilar de pedra. Ele derramou uma oferta de bebida sobre ele, e derramou óleo sobre ele.

And Iaakob set vp a pillar in the place where he talked with him, a pillar of stone, and powred drinke offring thereon: also hee powred oyle thereon.

15 Jacob chamou o nome do lugar onde Deus falou com ele de “Betel”.

And Iaakob called the name of the place, where God spake with him, Beth-el.

16 Eles viajaram de Betel. Ainda havia alguma distância para chegar a Ephrath, e Rachel viajou. Ela teve trabalho pesado.

Then they departed from Beth-el, and when there was about halfe a daies iourney of ground to come to Ephrath, Rahel trauailed, and in trauailing she was in perill.

17 Quando ela estava em trabalhos forçados, a parteira lhe disse: “Não tenha medo, por enquanto você terá outro filho”.

And whe she was in paines of her labour, the midwife saide vnto her, Feare not: for thou shalt haue this sonne also.

18 Quando sua alma estava partindo (pois ela morreu), ela o chamou de Benoni, mas seu pai o chamou de Benjamin.

Then as she was about to yeelde vp the Ghost (for she died) she called his name Ben-oni, but his father called him Beniamin.

19 Rachel morreu, e foi enterrada a caminho de Efrat (também chamada Belém).

Thus died Rahel, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Beth-lehem.

20 Jacob montou um pilar em seu túmulo. O mesmo é o pilar da sepultura de Raquel até hoje.

And Iaakob set a pillar vpon her graue: This is the pillar of Rahels graue vnto this day.

21 Israel viajou, e espalhou sua tenda para além da torre do Eder.

Then Israel went forwarde, and pitched his tent beyond Migdal-eder.

22 Enquanto Israel vivia naquela terra, Rubem foi deitar-se com Bilhah, concubina de seu pai, e Israel ouviu falar dela. Agora os filhos de Jacob tinham doze anos.

Now, when Israel dwelt in that land, Reuben went, and lay with Bilhah his fathers concubine, and it came to Israels eare. And Iaakob had twelue sonnes.

23 Os filhos de Leah: Reuben (primogênito de Jacó), Simeão, Levi, Judá, Issachar e Zebulom.

The sonnes of Leah: Reuben Iaakobs eldest sonne, and Simeon, and Leui, and Iudah, and Issachar, and Zebulun.

24 Os filhos de Raquel: José e Benjamim.

The sonnes of Rahel: Ioseph and Beniamin.

25 Os filhos de Bilhah (o criado de Rachel): Dan e Naftali.

And the sonnes of Bilhah Rahels maide: Dan and Naphtali.

26 Os filhos de Zilpah (criada de Leah): Gad e Asher. Estes são os filhos de Jacob, que nasceram para ele em Paddan Aram.

And the sonnes of Zilpah Leahs maide: Gad and Asher. These are the sonnes of Iaakob, which were borne him in Padan Aram.

27 Jacob veio para Isaac, seu pai, para Mamre, para Kiriath Arba (que é Hebron), onde Abraão e Isaac viveram como estrangeiros.

Then Iaakob came vnto Izhak his father to Mamre a citie of Arbah: this is Hebron, where Abraham and Izhak were strangers.

28 Os dias de Isaac foram cento e oitenta anos.

And the daies of Izhak were an hundreth and fourescore yeeres.

29 Isaac desistiu do espírito e morreu, e foi reunido ao seu povo, velho e cheio de dias. Esaú e Jacó, seus filhos, o enterraram.

And Izhak gaue vp the ghost and died, and was gathered vnto his people, being olde and full of daies: and his sonnes Esau and Iaakob buried him.
