Esdras 7
1 Agora depois destas coisas, no reinado de Artaxerxes rei da Pérsia, Esdras filho de Seraías, filho de Azarias, filho de Hilquias,
Now after these things, in the reigne of Artahshashte King of Persia, was Ezra the sonne of Seraiah, the sonne of Azariah, the sonne of Hilkiah,
2 filho de Shallum, filho de Zadoque, filho de Aitube,
The sonne of Shallum, the sonne of Zadok, the sonne of Ahitub,
3 filho de Amarias, o filho de Azarias, o filho de Meraioth,
The sonne of Amariah, the sonne of Azariah, the sonne of Meraioth,
4 o filho de Zeraías, o filho de Uzzi, o filho de Bukki,
The sonne of Zeraiah, the sonne of Vzzi, the sonne of Bukki,
5 o filho de Abishua, o filho de Finéias, o filho de Eleazar, o filho de Arão, o sacerdote principal -
The sonne of Abishua, the sonne of Phinehas, the sonne of Eleazar, the sonne of Aaron, the chiefe Priest.
6 este Esdras subiu da Babilônia. Ele era um hábil escriba da lei de Moisés, que Javé, o Deus de Israel, havia dado; e o rei concedeu-lhe todo o seu pedido, de acordo com a mão de Javé, seu Deus, sobre ele.
This Ezra came vp from Babel, and was a Scribe prompt in the Lawe of Moses, which the Lord God of Israel had giuen, and the King gaue him all his request according to the hande of the Lord his God which was vpon him.
7 Alguns dos filhos de Israel, incluindo alguns dos sacerdotes, os levitas, os cantores, os porteiros e os servos do templo subiram a Jerusalém no sétimo ano de Artaxerxes, o rei.
And there went vp certaine of the children of Israel, and of the Priests, and the Leuites, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinims vnto Ierusalem, in the seuenth yere of King Artahshashte.
8 Ele veio a Jerusalém no quinto mês, que foi no sétimo ano do rei.
And hee came to Ierusalem in the fift moneth, which was in the seuenth yeere of the King.
9 Pois no primeiro dia do primeiro mês ele começou a subir da Babilônia; e no primeiro dia do quinto mês ele veio a Jerusalém, de acordo com a boa mão de seu Deus sobre ele.
For vpon the first day of the first moneth began he to goe vp from Babel, and on the first day of the fift moneth came he to Ierusalem, according to the good hande of his God that was vpon him.
10 Pois Esdras tinha posto seu coração em busca da lei de Iavé, e para fazê-lo, e para ensinar estatutos e ordenanças em Israel.
For Ezra had prepared his heart to seeke the Lawe of the Lord, and to doe it, and to teach the precepts and iudgements in Israel.
11 Agora esta é a cópia da carta que o rei Artaxerxes deu a Esdras, o sacerdote, o escriba, até mesmo o escriba das palavras dos mandamentos de Javé, e de seus estatutos a Israel:
And this is the copie of the letter that King Artahshashte gaue vnto Ezra the Priest and scribe, euen a writer of the words of the commadements of ye Lord, and of his statutes ouer Israel.
12 Artaxerxes, rei dos reis, Para Esdras, o sacerdote, o escriba da lei do perfeito Deus do céu. Agora
ARTAHSHASHTE King of Kings to Ezra the Priest and perfite scribe of the Lawe of the God of heauen, and to Cheeneth.
13 faço um decreto para que todos aqueles do povo de Israel e seus sacerdotes e os levitas do meu reino, que pretendem de sua livre vontade ir a Jerusalém, vão com vocês.
I haue giuen commandement, that euery one, that is willing in my kingdome of the people of Israel, and of the Priestes, and Leuites to goe to Ierusalem with thee, shall goe.
14 Porque sois enviados pelo rei e seus sete conselheiros para inquirir sobre Judá e Jerusalém, segundo a lei de vosso Deus que está em vossas mãos,
Therefore art thou sent of the King and his seuen counsellers, to enquire in Iudah and Ierusalem, according to the lawe of thy God, which is in thine hand,
15 e para levar a prata e o ouro, que o rei e seus conselheiros ofereceram livremente ao Deus de Israel, cuja morada está em Jerusalém,
And to carry the siluer and the gold, which the King and his cousellers willingly offer vnto the God of Israel (whose habitation is in Ierusalem)
16 e toda a prata e o ouro que encontrareis em toda a província da Babilônia, com a oferta gratuita do povo e dos sacerdotes, oferecendo voluntariamente pela casa de seu Deus que está em Jerusalém.
And all the siluer and gold that thou canst finde in all the prouince of Babel, with the free offring of the people, and that which the Priestes offer willingly to the house of their God which is in Ierusalem,
17 Portanto, com toda diligência comprareis com este dinheiro touros, carneiros e cordeiros com suas ofertas de refeições e suas ofertas de bebidas, e os oferecereis no altar da casa de vosso Deus que está em Jerusalém.
That thou mayest bye speedily with this siluer, bullocks, rammes, lambes, with their meate offrings and their drinke offrings: and thou shalt offer them vpon the altar of the house of your God, which is in Ierusalem.
18 O que parecer bom para você e para seus irmãos fazer com o resto da prata e do ouro, faça-o de acordo com a vontade de seu Deus.
And whatsoeuer it pleaseth thee and thy brethren to do with the rest of the siluer, and gold, doe ye it according to the will of your God.
19 Os vasos que vos são dados para o serviço da casa de vosso Deus, entregai-os diante do Deus de Jerusalém.
And the vessels that are giuen thee for the seruice of the house of thy God, those deliuer thou before God in Ierusalem.
20 Whatever mais serão necessários para a casa de vosso Deus, que vocês poderão ter ocasião de dar, dêem-na fora da casa do tesouro do rei. '
And the residue that shall be needeful for the house of thy God, which shall be meete for thee to bestowe, thou shalt bestowe it out of the Kings treasure house,
21 Eu, até eu, Artaxerxes o rei, faço um decreto a todos os tesoureiros que estão além do rio, que tudo o que Esdras o sacerdote, o escriba da lei do Deus do céu, exigir de vós, será feito com toda a diligência,
And I King Artahshashte haue giuen commandemet to all the treasurers which are beyond the Riuer, that whatsoeuer Ezra the Priest and Scribe of the Law of the God of heauen shall require of you, that it be done incontinently,
22 up a cem talentos de prata, e a cem coros de trigo, e a cem banhos de vinho, e a cem banhos de azeite, e sal sem prescrever quanto.
Vnto an hundreth talents of siluer, vnto an hundreth measures of wheate, and vnto an hundreth baths of wine, and vnto an hundreth baths of oyle, and salt without writing.
23 Seja o que for que seja ordenado pelo Deus do céu, que seja feito exatamente para a casa do Deus do céu; por que haveria de haver ira contra o reino do rei e seus filhos? '
Whatsoeuer is by the commandement of the God of heauen, let it be done speedily for the house of the God of heauen: for why should he be wroth against the realme of the King, and his children?
24 Also informamos que não será lícito impor tributo, costume ou pedágio a nenhum dos sacerdotes, levitas, cantores, porteiros, servos do templo ou trabalhadores desta casa de Deus. '
And we certifie you, that vpon any of the Priestes, Leuites, singers, porters, Nethinims, or Ministers in this house of God, there shall no gouernour laye vpon them tolle, tribute nor custome.
25 Você, Esdras, de acordo com a sabedoria de seu Deus que está em suas mãos, nomeia magistrados e juízes que podem julgar todo o povo que está além do rio, que todos conhecem as leis de seu Deus; e ensina a ele que não as conhece.
And thou Ezra (after the wisedome of thy God, that is in thine hand) set iudges and arbiters, which may iudge all the people that is beyond the Riuer, euen all that knowe the Lawe of thy God, and teach ye them that know it not.
26 Whoever não fará a lei de vosso Deus e a lei do rei, que o julgamento seja executado sobre ele com toda diligência, seja para a morte, seja para o banimento, seja para o confisco de bens, seja para a prisão. '
And whosoeuer will not doe the Lawe of thy God, and the Kings lawe, let him haue iudgement without delay, whether it be vnto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.
27 Bendito seja Javé, o Deus de nossos pais, que colocou uma coisa como esta no coração do rei, para embelezar a casa de Javé que está em Jerusalém;
Blessed be the Lord God of our fathers, which so hath put in the Kings heart, to beautifie the house of the Lord that is in Ierusalem,
28 e estendeu amorosa bondade a mim perante o rei e seus conselheiros, e perante todos os poderosos príncipes do rei. Fui fortalecido segundo Iavé, a mão de meu Deus sobre mim, e reuni os chefes de Israel para subir comigo.
And hath enclined mercy toward me, before the King and his counsellers, and before all the Kings mightie Princes: and I was comforted by the hand of the Lord my God which was vpon me, and I gathered the chiefe of Israel to goe vp with me.
