Esdras 2
1 Now estas são as crianças da província que saíram do cativeiro daqueles que haviam sido levados, que Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, havia levado para Babilônia, e que voltaram para Jerusalém e Judá, todos para sua cidade;
And these [are] sons of the province who are going up—of the captives of the expulsion that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon removed to Babylon, and they return to Jerusalem and Judah, each to his city—
2 que vieram com Zorobabel, Jeshua, Neemias, Seraías, Reelaías, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Reum e Baaná. O número dos homens do povo de Israel:
who have come in with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehum, Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:
3 Os filhos de Parosh, dois mil cento e setenta e dois.

36 Os sacerdotes: os filhos de Jedaías, da casa de Jeshua, novecentos e setenta e três.
The priests: sons of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred seventy-three;
37 Os filhos de Immer, mil e cinqüenta e dois.
sons of Immer, one thousand fifty-two;
38 Os filhos de Pashhur, mil duzentos e quarenta e sete.
sons of Pashhur, one thousand two hundred forty-seven;
39 Os filhos de Harim, mil e dezessete.

40 Os Levitas: as crianças de Jeshua e Kadmiel, das crianças de Hodaviah, setenta e quatro.

41 Os cantores: os filhos de Asaph, cento e vinte e oito.

58 Todos os servos do templo, e os filhos dos servos de Salomão, eram trezentos e noventa e dois.
All the Nethinim, and the sons of the servants of Solomon [are] three hundred ninety-two.
59 Estes foram os que subiram de Tel Melah, Tel Harsha, Cherub, Addan e Immer; mas não puderam mostrar as casas de seus pais e seus descendentes, se eram de Israel:
And these [are] those going up from Tel-Melah, Tel-Harsa, Cherub, Addan, Immer, and they have not been able to declare the house of their fathers, and their seed, whether they [are] of Israel:
60 os filhos de Delaiah, os filhos de Tobiah, os filhos de Nekoda, seiscentos e cinqüenta e dois.
sons of Delaiah, sons of Tobiah, sons of Nekoda, six hundred fifty-two.
61 dos filhos dos sacerdotes: os filhos de Habaiah, os filhos de Hakkoz, e os filhos de Barzillai, que levaram uma esposa das filhas de Barzillai, o Gileadita, e foram chamados pelo nome deles.
And of the sons of the priests: sons of Habaiah, sons of Koz, sons of Barzillai (who took a wife from the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and is called by their name);
62 Estes procuraram seu lugar entre aqueles que foram registrados por genealogia, mas não foram encontrados; portanto, foram considerados desqualificados e removidos do sacerdócio.
these have sought their register among those reckoning themselves by genealogy, and they have not been found, and they are redeemed from the priesthood,
63 O governador lhes disse que não deveriam comer das coisas mais sagradas até que um sacerdote se levantasse para servir com Urim e com Thummim.
and the Tirshatha says to them that they do not eat of the most holy things until the standing up of a priest with [the] Lights and with [the] Perfections.
64 Toda a assembléia, em conjunto, era de quarenta e dois mil trezentos e sessenta,
All the assembly together [is] forty-two thousand three hundred sixty,
65 além de seus servos e servas, dos quais havia sete mil trezentos e trinta e sete; e eles tinham duzentos homens e mulheres cantando.
apart from their servants and their handmaids; these [are] seven thousand three hundred thirty-seven: and of them [are] two hundred male and female singers.
66 Their os cavalos eram setecentos e trinta e seis; suas mulas, duzentas e quarenta e cinco;
Their horses [are] seven hundred thirty-six, their mules, two hundred forty-five,
67 their os camelos, quatrocentos e trinta e cinco; seus burros, seis mil setecentos e vinte.
their camels, four hundred thirty-five, donkeys, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
68 Some dos chefes de família dos pais, quando chegaram à casa de Yahweh, que fica em Jerusalém, ofereceram voluntariamente que a casa de Deus a instalasse em seu lugar.
And some of the heads of the fathers in their coming to the house of YHWH that [is] in Jerusalem, have offered willingly for the house of God, to establish it on its base;
69 Deram de acordo com sua capacidade no tesouro da obra sessenta e um mil dracmas de ouro, cinco mil minas de prata e cem vestes de padres.
according to their power they have given to the treasure of the work; of gold, sixty-one thousand drams, and of silver, five thousand pounds, and of priests’ coats, one hundred.
70 Assim, os sacerdotes e os levitas, com alguns do povo, os cantores, os porteiros e os servos do templo, viviam em suas cidades, e todo Israel em suas cidades.
And the priests dwell, and the Levites, and of the people, and the singers, and the gatekeepers, and the Nethinim, in their cities; even all Israel in their cities.
