Esdras 1
1 Agora, no primeiro ano de Ciro, rei da Pérsia, que a palavra de Javé pela boca de Jeremias poderia ser cumprida, Javé despertou o espírito de Ciro, rei da Pérsia, para que ele fizesse uma proclamação por todo o seu reino, e a colocasse também por escrito, dizendo,
Nowe in the first yere of Cyrus King of Persia (that the worde of the Lord, spoken by the mouth of Ieremiah, might be accomplished) the Lord stirred vp the spirite of Cyrus King of Persia, and hee made a Proclamation thorowe all his Kingdome, and also by writing, saying,
2 “Ciro, rei da Pérsia, diz: 'Javé, o Deus do céu, me deu todos os reinos da terra; e ordenou-me que lhe construísse uma casa em Jerusalém, que está em Judá.
Thus saith Cyrus King of Persia, The Lord God of heauen hath giuen me all the kingdomes of the earth, and he hath commanded me to builde him an house in Ierusalem, which is in Iudah.
3 Quem quer que esteja entre vós de todo seu povo, que seu Deus esteja com ele, e o deixe subir a Jerusalém, que está em Judá, e construir a casa de Javé, o Deus de Israel (ele é Deus), que está em Jerusalém.
Who is he among you of all his people with whome his God is? let him goe vp to Ierusalem which is in Iudah, and buylde the house of the Lord God of Israel: he is the God, which is in Ierusalem.
4 Quem ficar, em qualquer lugar onde ele viva, que os homens de seu lugar o ajudem com prata, com ouro, com bens e com animais, além da oferta gratuita pela casa de Deus que está em Jerusalém'”.
And euery one that remayneth in any place (where he soiourneth) let the men of his place relieue him with siluer and with golde, and with substance, and with cattel, and with a willing offring, for the house of God that is in Ierusalem.
5 Então os chefes de família dos pais de Judá e Benjamim, os sacerdotes e os levitas, todos cujo espírito Deus tinha agitado para subir, levantaram-se para construir a casa de Iavé, que está em Jerusalém.
Then the chiefe fathers of Iudah and Beniamin, and the Priests and Leuites rose vp, with al them whose spirit God had raysed to goe vp, to builde the house of the Lord which is in Ierusalem.
6 Todos aqueles que estavam ao seu redor fortaleceram suas mãos com vasos de prata, com ouro, com mercadorias, com animais e com coisas preciosas, além de tudo o que foi oferecido de bom grado.
And all they that were about them, strengthened their handes with vessels of siluer, with golde, with substance and with cattell, and with precious thinges, besides all that was willingly offred.
7 Também o rei Ciro trouxe os vasos da casa de Iavé, que Nabucodonosor tinha trazido de Jerusalém, e tinha colocado na casa de seus deuses;
Also the King Cyrus brought forth the vessels of the house of the Lord, which Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of Ierusalem, and had put them in the house of his god.
8 até mesmo aqueles, Ciro, rei da Pérsia, trazidos pela mão de Mitredath, o tesoureiro, e os contou para Sesbazar, o príncipe de Judá.
Euen them did Cyrus King of Persia bring forth by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and counted them vnto Sheshbazzar the Prince of Iudah.
9 Este é o número deles: trinta bandejas de ouro, mil bandejas de prata, vinte e nove facas,
And this is the nomber of them, thirtie basins of golde, a thousand basins of siluer, nine and twentie kniues,
10 trinta taças de ouro, quatrocentos e dez taças de prata de um segundo tipo, e mil outros recipientes.
Thirtie boules of gold, and of siluer boules of the second sort, foure hundreth and tenne, and of other vessels, a thousand.
11 Todos os vasos de ouro e de prata eram cinco mil e quatrocentos. Sheshbazzar trouxe todos eles quando os cativos foram trazidos da Babilônia para Jerusalém.
All the vessels of golde and siluer were fiue thousand and foure hundreth. Sheshbazzar brought vp all with them of the captiuitie that came vp from Babel to Ierusalem.
