Ezequiel 9
1 Então ele gritou em meus ouvidos com uma voz alta, dizendo: “Porque aqueles que estão no comando da cidade se aproximem, cada homem com sua arma destruidora na mão”.
Then he cried in my ears with a loud voice, saying, "Cause those who are in charge of the city to draw near, every man with his destroying weapon in his hand."
2 Eis que seis homens vieram do caminho do portão superior, que fica ao norte, cada homem com a sua arma de matança na mão. Um homem no meio deles estava vestido de linho, com um tinteiro de escritor ao seu lado. Eles entraram, e ficaram ao lado do altar de bronze.
Look, six men came from the way of the Upper Gate, which lies toward the north, every man with his slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man in their midst clothed in linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side. They went in, and stood beside the bronze altar.
3 A glória do Deus de Israel subiu do querubim, onde estava até a soleira da casa; e ele chamou o homem vestido de linho, que tinha o tinteiro do escritor ao seu lado.
The glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon it was, to the threshold of the house: and he called to the man clothed in linen, who had the writer's inkhorn by his side.
4 Yahweh disse-lhe: “Passe pelo meio da cidade, pelo meio de Jerusalém, e ponha uma marca na testa dos homens que suspiram e que choram sobre todas as abominações que são feitas dentro dela”.
Jehovah said to him, "Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark on the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry over all the abominations that are done in its midst."
5 Para os outros ele disse em minha audiência: “Vá pela cidade depois dele, e faça greve”. Não deixe que seu olho poupe, nem tenha piedade”.
To the others he said in my hearing, "Go through the city after him, and strike: do not let your eye spare, neither have pity;
6 Matem totalmente o homem velho, o jovem, a virgem, as crianças pequenas e as mulheres; mas não se aproximem de nenhum homem em quem a marca seja a marca. Comece em meu santuário”. Então eles começaram nos velhos que estavam antes da casa.
kill utterly the old man, the young man and the virgin, and little children and women; but do not come near any man on whom is the mark: and begin at my sanctuary." Then they began at the old men that were before the house.
7 Ele lhes disse: “Desonrei a casa e encherei os tribunais com os mortos”. Saiam”! Eles saíram, e atacaram na cidade.
He said to them, "Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain. Go forth." They went forth, and struck in the city.
8 Enquanto matavam, e eu fiquei, caí de cara, chorei e disse: “Ah Senhor Javé! Vós destruiríeis todos os resíduos de Israel em vosso derramamento de vossa ira sobre Jerusalém”?
It happened, while they were smiting, and I was left, that I fell on my face, and cried, and said, "Ah, Jehovah. Will you destroy all the residue of Israel in your pouring out of your wrath on Jerusalem?"
9 Então ele me disse: “A iniqüidade da casa de Israel e Judá é extremamente grande, e a terra está cheia de sangue, e a cidade cheia de perversão; pois dizem: 'Javé abandonou a terra, e Javé não vê'.
Then he said to me, "The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perversion: for they say, 'Jehovah has forsaken the land, and Jehovah doesn't see.'
10 Quanto a mim também, meu olho não poupará, nem eu terei piedade, mas lhes trarei a cabeça”.
As for me also, my eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will bring their way on their head."
11 Eis que o homem vestido de linho, que tinha o tinteiro ao seu lado, relatou o assunto, dizendo: “Eu fiz como me mandou”.
Look, the man clothed in linen, who had the inkhorn by his side, reported the matter, saying, "I have done as you have commanded me."
