Ezequiel 25

1 A palavra de Javé veio até mim, dizendo:

And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

2 “Filho do homem, dirige teu rosto para as crianças de Ammon e profetiza contra elas”.

Son of man, set thy face against the sons of 'Ammon, and prophesy against them;

3 Diga aos filhos de Ammon, “Ouçam a palavra do Senhor Javé! O Senhor Javé diz: “Porque disseste: 'Aha!' contra meu santuário quando foi profanado, e contra a terra de Israel quando foi assolada, e contra a casa de Judá quando foram para o cativeiro,

And say unto the sons of 'Ammon, Hear ye the word of the Lord Eternal, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because thou hast said, Aha, concerning my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and concerning the land of Israel, when it was made desolate; and concerning the house of Judah, when they went into exile:

4 portanto, eis que eu te entregarei aos filhos do oriente por posse. Eles colocarão seus acampamentos em vocês e farão suas moradias em vocês. Eles comerão suas frutas e beberão seu leite.

Therefore, behold, I will give thee up to the children of the east for a possession, and they shall set up their towers in thee, and place in thee their dwellings; they shall indeed eat thy fruit, and they shall surely drink thy milk.

5 Farei de Rabbah um estábulo para camelos e as crianças de Ammon um lugar de descanso para os rebanhos. Então vocês saberão que eu sou Yahweh”.

And I will change Rabbah into a pasture for camels, and [the land of] the sons of 'Ammon into a resting-place for flocks: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

6 Pois o Senhor Javé diz: “Porque bateste palmas, carimbaste com os pés e te alegraste com todo o desprezo de tua alma contra a terra de Israel,

For thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Whereas thou didst clap thy hands, and stamp with thy feet, and rejoice with all thy derision in the soul over the land of Israel:

7 portanto, eis que estendi minha mão sobre ti, e te entregarei em despojo às nações”. Eu vos cortarei dos povos, e vos farei perecer para fora dos países. Eu vos destruirei. Então sabereis que eu sou Yahweh”.

Therefore, behold, will I stretch out my hand over thee, and will give thee up for a spoil to the nations; and I will cut thee off from the people, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries; I will destroy thee, and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.

8 “'O Senhor Javé diz: “Porque Moabe e Seir dizem: 'Eis que a casa de Judá é como todas as nações',

Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because Moab and Se'ir do say, Behold, the house of Judah is like all the nations:

9 portanto, eis que eu abrirei o lado de Moabe das cidades, de suas cidades que estão em suas fronteiras, a glória do país, Beth Jeshimoth, Baal Meon e Kiriathaim,

Therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Beth-ha-yeshimoth, Ba'al-me'on, and Kiryathayim,

10 aos filhos do oriente, para ir contra os filhos de Amom; e eu os darei em possessão, para que os filhos de Amom não sejam lembrados entre as nações.

Unto the children of the east [coming] against the sons of 'Ammon, and I will give them in possession; in order that the sons of 'Ammon may not be remembered among the nations.

11 Executarei julgamentos sobre Moab. Então eles saberão que eu sou Yahweh”.

And on Moab will I execute judgments: and they shall know that I am the Lord.

12 “'O Senhor Yahweh diz: “Porque Edom tem lidado contra a casa de Judá tomando vingança, e tem ofendido muito, e se vingado deles”,

Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because the Edomites have acted revengefully against the house of Judah, and have greatly offended, and have taken vengeance on them:

13 portanto o Senhor Yahweh diz: “Estenderei minha mão sobre Edom, e cortarei o homem e o animal dele; e o tornarei desolado de Teman”. Eles cairão pela espada até mesmo para Dedan”.

Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, I will also stretch out my hand against Edom, and cut off from it man and beast; and I will make it a ruined land from Theman; and they of Dedan shall fall by the sword.

14 Eu colocarei minha vingança sobre Edom pela mão do meu povo Israel. Eles farão em Edom de acordo com minha raiva e de acordo com minha ira. Então eles conhecerão minha vingança”, diz o Senhor Javé.

And I will display my vengeance on Edom by the hand of my people Israel; and they shall do in Edom according to my anger and according to my fury: and they shall feel my vengeance, saith the Lord Eternal.

15 “'O Senhor Javé diz: “Porque os filisteus se vingaram, e se vingaram com desprezo da alma para destruir com perpétua hostilidade”,

Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because the Philistines have acted in revenge, and have taken vengeance with derision in their soul, to destroy out of ancient enmity:

16 portanto o Senhor Javé diz: “Eis que estenderei minha mão sobre os filisteus, e cortarei os quereteus, e destruirei o remanescente da costa marítima.

Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will stretch out my hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off the Kerethim, and destroy the remnant of the [dwellers] of the sea-coast.

17 executarei uma grande vingança sobre eles com repreensões iradas. Então eles saberão que eu sou Yahweh, quando eu colocar minha vingança sobre eles”'”.

And I will execute on them great vengeances with furious chastisements: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I display my vengeance on them.
