Ezequiel 21
1 A palavra de Javé veio a mim, dizendo:
And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
2 “Filho do homem, dirige teu rosto para Jerusalém, prega para os santuários, e profetiza contra a terra de Israel”.
Son of man, set thy face against Jerusalem, and drop [words] against the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel,
3 Diga à terra de Israel, 'Javé diz: “Eis que eu estou contra ti, e tirarei minha espada de sua bainha, e cortarei de ti os justos e os ímpios”.
and say to the land of Israel, Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, and I will draw forth my sword out of its sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked.
4 Vendo então que eu cortarei de vós os justos e os ímpios, portanto minha espada sairá de sua bainha contra toda a carne do sul ao norte.
Seeing that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of its sheath against all flesh, from the south to the north;
5 All a carne saberá que eu, Javé, tirei minha espada de sua bainha. Ela não voltará mais”.
and all flesh shall know that I Jehovah have drawn forth my sword out of its sheath: it shall not return any more.
6 “Portanto suspira, seu filho do homem. Suspirai diante dos olhos deles com o coração partido e com amargura.
Sigh then, thou son of man; with breaking of the loins, and with bitterness sigh before their eyes.
7 Será, quando lhe perguntarem: “Por que suspiras?” que você dirá: “Por causa das notícias, pois elas vêm! Todo coração derreterá, todas as mãos serão fracas, todo espírito desmaiará, e todos os joelhos serão fracos como água. Eis que vem, e será feito, diz o Senhor Javé”.
And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore dost thou sigh? that thou shalt say, Because of the tidings, for it cometh; and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall languish, and all knees shall melt into water: behold, it cometh; it is here, saith the Lord Jehovah.
8 A palavra de Javé veio até mim, dizendo:
And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
9 “Filho do homem, profetiza, e diz: “Javé diz: “Javé diz:”: “Uma espada! Uma espada! É afiada, e também polido.
Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith Jehovah: Say, A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished.
10 É afiado que pode fazer um abate. É polido que pode ser como um relâmpago. Devemos então fazer hilaridade? A vara do meu filho condena cada árvore.
It is sharpened for sore slaughter, it is furbished that it may glitter. Shall we then make mirth, [saying, ] The sceptre of my son contemneth all wood?
11 É dado para ser polido, que pode ser tratado. A espada é afiada. Sim, é polido para entregá-lo na mão do assassino”.
And he hath given it to be furbished that it may be handled. The sword, — it is sharpened, and it is furbished to give it into the hand of the slayer.
12 Cry e geme, filho do homem; pois está em meu povo. Está em todos os príncipes de Israel. Eles são entregues à espada com meu povo. Portanto, bata sua coxa.
Cry and howl, son of man; for it shall be against my people, it shall be against all the princes of Israel: they are given up to the sword along with my people: smite therefore upon the thigh.
13 “Pois há um julgamento. E se mesmo a vara que condena não será mais?” diz o Senhor Yahweh.
For the trial [is made]; and what if even the contemning sceptre shall be no [more]? saith the Lord Jehovah.
14 “Você, portanto, filho do homem, profetiza, e bater com as mãos juntas. Que a espada seja dobrada pela terceira vez, a espada dos feridos fatais. É a espada do grande que está fatalmente ferido, que entram em seus quartos.
And thou, son of man, prophesy, and smite thy hands together; for [the strokes of] the sword shall be doubled the third time: it is the sword of the slain, the sword that hath slain the great one, which encompasseth them privily.
15 Eu coloquei a espada ameaçadora contra todos os portões deles, que seu coração possa derreter, e seus tropeços sejam multiplicados. Ah! É feito como um relâmpago. É apontado para o abate.
In order that the heart may melt, and the stumbling-blocks be multiplied, I have set the threatening sword against all their gates: ah! it is made glittering, it is whetted for the slaughter.
16 Gather vocês mesmos juntos. Vá para a direita. Coloquem-se em ordem. Vá para a esquerda, onde quer que seu rosto esteja colocado.
Gather up [strength], go to the right hand, turn thee, go to the left, whithersoever thy face is appointed.
17 Também vou bater minhas mãos juntas, e eu farei descansar minha ira. Eu, Yahweh, o disse”. A palavra de
And I myself will smite my hands together, and I will satisfy my fury: I Jehovah have spoken [it].
18 Yahweh veio até mim novamente, dizendo:
And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
19 “Também, você, filho do homem, indique dois caminhos, para que a espada do rei da Babilônia possa vir. Ambos sairão de uma terra, e marcarão um lugar. Marquem-no à cabeça do caminho para a cidade.
And thou, son of man, set thee two ways, by which the sword of the king of Babylon may come — out of one land shall they both come — and make thee a signpost, make it at the head of the way to the city.
20 Você designará um caminho para que a espada venha a Rabá dos filhos de Amom, e a Judá em Jerusalém, o fortificado.
Appoint a way for the coming of the sword to Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and to Judah at the fenced [city] of Jerusalem.
21 Pois o rei da Babilônia estava à frente do caminho, à frente dos dois caminhos, para usar a adivinhação. Ele sacudiu as flechas para frente e para trás. Ele consultou os terafins. Ele olhou para o fígado.
For the king of Babylon standeth at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he shaketh [his] arrows, he inquireth of the teraphim, he looketh in the liver.
22 Em sua mão direita estava o lote para Jerusalém, para colocar aríetes, para abrir a boca no abate, para levantar a voz com gritos, para colocar aríetes contra os portões, para lançar montículos e para construir fortes.
In his right hand is the lot of Jerusalem to appoint battering-rams, to open the mouth for bloodshed, to lift up the voice with shouting, to appoint battering-rams against the gates, to cast mounds, to build siege-towers.
23 Será para eles como uma falsa adivinhação à sua vista, que fizeram juramentos; mas ele traz à memória a iniquidade, para que possam ser tomados.
And this shall be a false divination in their sight, for them that have sworn oaths; but he will call to remembrance the iniquity, that they may be taken.
24 “Portanto, o Senhor Javé diz: “Porque fizeste com que tua iniqüidade fosse lembrada, porque tuas transgressões foram descobertas, para que em todos os teus atos teus pecados apareçam; porque vieste à memória, serás tomado com a mão.
Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because ye make your iniquity to be remembered in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins appear; because ye are come to remembrance, ye shall be taken with the hand.
25 “'Tu, ferido mortal, o príncipe de Israel, cujo dia chegou, no tempo da iniquidade do fim,
And thou, profane, wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, at the time of the iniquity of the end,
26 o Senhor Javé diz: “Remove o turbante, e tira a coroa”. Isto não será como era. Exaltar o que é baixo, e humilhar o que é alto”.
— thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Remove the mitre and take off the crown; what is shall be no [more]. Exalt that which is low, and abase that which is high.
27 Eu vou derrubar, derrubar, derrubar”. Isto também não será mais assim, até que ele venha de quem é o direito; e eu o darei”.
I will overturn, overturn, overturn it! This also shall be no [more], until he come whose right it is; and I will give it [to him].
28 “Tu, filho do homem, profetiza e diz: “O Senhor Javé diz isto a respeito dos filhos de Amon, e a respeito de sua reprovação”: “Uma espada! Uma espada é desembainhada! É polido para o abate, para que ela devore, que pode ser como um relâmpago;
And thou, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus speaketh the Lord Jehovah concerning the children of Ammon, and concerning their reproach; and thou shalt say, A sword, a sword is drawn; for the slaughter is it furbished, that it may consume, that it may glitter:
29 enquanto eles vêem por você falsas visões, enquanto eles divinizam mentiras para você, para colocá-lo no pescoço dos malvados que estão mortalmente feridos, cujo dia chegou na hora da iniqüidade do fim.
whilst they see vanity for thee, whilst they divine a lie unto thee, to lay thee upon the necks of the wicked that are slain, whose day is come at the time of the iniquity of the end.
30 Cause para voltar para sua bainha. No local onde você foi criado, na terra de seu nascimento, eu o julgarei.
Restore [it] to its sheath. I will judge thee in the place where thou wast created, in the land of thy birth.
31 Eu lhe expressarei a minha indignação. Eu vou soprar sobre você com o fogo da minha ira. Eu o entregarei na mão de homens brutos, habilidoso para destruir.
And I will pour out mine indignation upon thee, I will blow upon thee the fire of my wrath, and give thee into the hand of brutish men, skilful to destroy.
32 Você será para o combustível para o fogo. Seu sangue estará no meio da terra. Você não será mais lembrado; pois eu, Yahweh, o disse””.
Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt not be remembered: for I Jehovah have spoken.
