Efésios 1
1 Paulo, apóstolo de Cristo Jesus através da vontade de Deus, aos santos que estão em Éfeso, e aos fiéis em Cristo Jesus:
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, to the saints (in Ephesus) who are faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 Graça a vós e paz de Deus nosso Pai e do Senhor Jesus Cristo.
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Bendito seja o Deus e Pai de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, que nos abençoou com todas as bênçãos espirituais nos lugares celestiais em Cristo,
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ;
4 como nos escolheu nele antes da fundação do mundo, que seríamos santos e sem defeito diante dele em amor,
even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and without blemish before him in love;
5 having nos predestinou para adoção como crianças através de Jesus Cristo para si mesmo, de acordo com o bom prazer de seu desejo,
having predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire,
6 para o louvor da glória de sua graça, pelo qual ele nos deu gratuitamente favor no Amado.
to the praise of the glory of his grace, which he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved One,
7 Nele temos nossa redenção através de seu sangue, o perdão de nossas ofensas, de acordo com a riqueza de sua graça
in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,
8 que ele fez abundar para nós com toda sabedoria e prudência,
which he made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,
9 making conhecido para nós o mistério de sua vontade, de acordo com seu bom prazer que nele propôs
making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in him
10 para uma administração da plenitude dos tempos, para resumir todas as coisas em Cristo, as coisas nos céus e as coisas na terra, nele.
to an administration of the fullness of the times, to sum up all things in Christ, the things in the heavens, and the things on the earth, in him;
11 Também nos foi atribuída uma herança nele, tendo sido predestinado segundo o propósito d'Aquele que faz todas as coisas segundo o conselho de sua vontade,
in whom also we were assigned an inheritance, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who works all things after the counsel of his will;
12 até o fim de que devêssemos estar para o louvor de sua glória, nós que antes tínhamos esperado em Cristo.
to the end that we should be to the praise of his glory, we who had before hoped in Christ:
13 Nele também vós, tendo ouvido a palavra da verdade, a Boa Nova de vossa salvação - em quem, tendo também acreditado, fostes selados com o Espírito Santo prometido,
in whom you also, having heard the word of the truth, the Good News of your salvation, —in whom, having also believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
14 que é penhor de nossa herança, à redenção da própria posse de Deus, ao louvor de sua glória.
who is a pledge of our inheritance, to the redemption of God's own possession, to the praise of his glory.
15 Por esta causa também eu, tendo ouvido falar da fé no Senhor Jesus que está entre vós e do amor que tendes por todos os santos,
For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and the love which you have toward all the saints,
16 não deixo de dar graças por vós, fazendo menção a vós em minhas orações,
do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers,
17 para que o Deus de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, o Pai da glória, vos dê um espírito de sabedoria e de revelação no conhecimento dele,
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him;
18 having os olhos de vossos corações iluminados, para que saibais qual é a esperança de sua vocação, e quais são as riquezas da glória de sua herança nos santos,
having the eyes of your heart enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 e qual é a grandeza excedente de seu poder para conosco que cremos, de acordo com aquele trabalho da força de seu poder
and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might
20 que ele trabalhou em Cristo quando o ressuscitou dos mortos e o fez sentar à sua direita nos lugares celestiais,
which he worked in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places,
21 muito acima de qualquer regra, autoridade, poder, domínio e todo nome que é nomeado, não só nesta época, mas também na que está por vir. (aiōn g165)
far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come. (aiōn g165)
22 Ele colocou todas as coisas em sujeição sob seus pés, e deu-lhe a cabeça sobre todas as coisas para a assembléia,
He put all things under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things for the church,
23 que é seu corpo, a plenitude daquele que preenche tudo em todos.
which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.
