Deuteronômio 24
1 Quando um homem toma uma esposa e se casa com ela, então será, se ela não encontrar nenhum favor em seus olhos porque ele encontrou alguma coisa indecorosa nela, que ele lhe escreverá um certificado de divórcio, o colocará na mão dela e a enviará para fora de sua casa.
When a man taketh a woman, and marrieth her, then shall it be, if she find not favour in his eyes, because he hath found in her some matter of shame, that he shall write her a scroll of divorcement, and put it into her hand, and shall send her forth, out of his house.
2 Quando ela tiver saído de sua casa, ela poderá ir e ser a esposa de outro homem.
And, when she cometh forth out of his house, then may she go her way, and become another man’s.
3 Se o último marido a odiar, e lhe escrever uma certidão de divórcio, coloca-a na mão dela e a envia para fora de sua casa; ou se o último marido morrer, que a tomou para ser sua esposa;
But if the latter husband hate her, and write her a scroll of divorcement and put it into her hand, and send her away out of his house, —or, if the latter husband die, who had taken her to him to wife,
4 seu ex-marido, que a mandou embora, não poderá levá-la novamente para ser sua esposa depois que ela for contaminada; pois isso seria uma abominação para Iavé. Você não fará pecar a terra, que Javé, seu Deus, lhe dá por herança.
then may her first husband who sent her away not again take her to become his wife after that she hath been defiled, for that were an abomination, before Yahweh, —lest thou bring sin upon the land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee for an inheritance.
5 Quando um homem toma uma nova esposa, ele não sairá para o exército, nem lhe será designado nenhum negócio. Ele ficará livre em casa um ano, e alegrará sua esposa, a quem ele levou.
When a man taketh a new wife, he shall not go forth to war, neither shall he be charged with any business, —free, shall he be for his own house one year, and shall rejoice with his wife whom he hath taken.
6 Nenhum homem tomará como penhor o moinho ou a pedra de moinho superior, pois ele leva uma vida em penhor.
No man shall take in pledge a handmill, or an upper millstone, —for he would be taking life, in pledge.
7 Se for encontrado um homem roubando algum de seus irmãos dos filhos de Israel, e ele lida com ele como escravo, ou o vende, então esse ladrão morrerá. Assim, tirarão o mal do meio de vocês.
When a man is found stealing any person from among his brethren of the sons of Israel, and making merchandise of him, or selling him, then shall that thief die, so shalt thou consume the wicked thing out of thy midst.
8 Tenha cuidado com a praga da lepra, que você observe diligentemente e faça de acordo com tudo o que os padres levíticos lhe ensinam. Como eu lhes ordenei, assim vocês devem observar para fazer.
Take heed, in the plague of leprosy, that thou observe diligently, and do, —according to all that the priests the Levites shall direct you, as I have commanded them, so shall ye observe to do.
9 Lembre-se do que Javé seu Deus fez a Miriam, a propósito, quando você saiu do Egito.
Remember that which Yahweh thy God did to Miriam, —by the way, as ye came forth out of Egypt.
10 Quando você empresta a seu vizinho qualquer tipo de empréstimo, você não deve entrar em sua casa para obter seu compromisso.
When thou lendest thy neighbour a loan of anything, thou shalt not enter into his house to secure his pledge:
11 Você ficará do lado de fora, e o homem a quem você emprestar trará o penhor do lado de fora para você.
outside, shalt thou stand, and the man to whom thou art lending, shall bring forth unto thee his pledge outside,
12 Se ele for um homem pobre, você não dormirá com o seu penhor.
And, if he be a poor man, thou shalt not sleep in his pledge:
13 Você certamente lhe restituirá o penhor quando o sol se puser, para que ele possa dormir em sua roupa e abençoá-lo. Será justiça para vós perante Yahweh, vosso Deus.
thou shalt, restore, to him the pledge at the going in of the sun, so shall he sleep in his own mantle, and bless thee, —and, unto thee, shall it be righteousness before Yahweh thy God.
14 Você não deve oprimir um servo contratado que é pobre e necessitado, seja ele um de seus irmãos ou um dos estrangeiros que estão em sua terra dentro de seus portões.
Thou shalt not oppress a hired servant that is poor and needy, —of thy brethren or of thy sojourners that are in thy land, within thy gates;
15 Em seus dias lhe darás seu salário, nem o sol se porá sobre ele, pois ele é pobre e põe seu coração sobre ele, para que ele não chore contra ti a Javé, e isso seja pecado para ti.
for his day, shalt thou give his hire neither shall the sun, go in upon it, for, poor, he is, and, unto it, is he lifting up his soul, —lest he cry out against thee, unto Yahweh, and it be, in thee a sin.
16 Os pais não devem ser mortos pelos filhos, nem os filhos devem ser mortos pelos pais. Cada homem será condenado à morte por seu próprio pecado.
Fathers shall not be put to death for sons, nor shall sons, be put to death for fathers, —every man, for his own sin, shall he put to death.
17 Você não deve privar o estrangeiro ou o órfão de justiça, nem tomar a roupa de uma viúva em penhor;
Thou shalt not pervert the judgment of the sojourner [or] the fatherless, —neither shalt thou take in pledge the garment of a widow;
18 mas você deve se lembrar que você foi um escravo no Egito, e Yahweh seu Deus o redimiu lá. Portanto, eu te ordeno que faças isso.
so shalt thou remember that, a servant, becamest thou in Egypt, and that Yahweh thy God, redeemed thee, from thence, —therefore, am I commanding thee to do this thing.
19 Quando você colher sua colheita em seu campo, e esquecer um molho no campo, você não voltará a ir buscá-lo. Será para o estrangeiro, para o órfão de pai e para a viúva, que Yahweh seu Deus possa abençoá-lo em todo o trabalho de suas mãos.
When thou cuttest down thy harvest in thy field and forgettest a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not turn back to fetch it, to the sojourner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, shall it belong, —that Yahweh thy God, may bless thee, in all the Work of thy hands.
20 Quando você bater na sua oliveira, não voltará a passar por cima dos ramos. Será para o estrangeiro, para o órfão de pai e para a viúva.
When thou beatest thine olive-tree, thou shalt not glean after thee, —to the sojourner to the fatherless and to the widow, shall it belong,
21 Quando você colher seu vinhedo, você não o colherá depois de si mesmo. Será para o estrangeiro, para o órfão de pai, e para a viúva.
When thou cuttest off the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not go about picking after thee, —to the sojourner to the fatherless and to the widow, shall it belong:
22 Lembrar-se-á de que foi escravo na terra do Egito. Portanto, eu vos ordeno que façais isto.
so shalt thou remember that a servant, becamest thou in the land of Egypt, —therefore, am I commending thee to do this thing.
