Daniel 8
1 No terceiro ano do reinado do rei Belsazar, uma visão me apareceu, até mesmo para mim, Daniel, depois daquela que me apareceu no primeiro.
In the thirde yeere of the reigne of King Belshazzar, a vision appeared vnto mee, euen vnto me Daniel, after that which appeared vnto mee at the first.
2 Eu vi a visão. Agora foi assim, que quando vi, estava na cidadela de Susa, que fica na província de Elam. Eu vi na visão, e eu estava junto ao rio Ulai.
And I saw in a vision, and when I sawe it, I was in the palace of Shushan, which is in the prouince of Elam, and in a vision me thought I was by the riuer of Vlai.
3 Então levantei meus olhos e vi, e eis que um carneiro que tinha dois chifres estava diante do rio. Os dois chifres eram altos, mas um era mais alto que o outro, e o mais alto subiu por último.
Then I looked vp and sawe, and beholde, there stoode before the riuer a ramme, which had two hornes: and these two hornes were hie: but one was hier then another, and the hyest came vp last.
4 Eu vi o carneiro empurrando para o oeste, para o norte e para o sul. Nenhum animal podia ficar de pé diante dele. Não havia ninguém que pudesse entregar de sua mão, mas ele fez de acordo com sua vontade, e se engrandeceu.
I sawe the ramme pusshing against ye West, and against the North, and against the South: so that no beastes might stande before him, nor could deliuer out of his hand, but he did what he listed, and became great.
5 Enquanto eu estava considerando, eis que um bode macho veio do oeste sobre a superfície de toda a terra, e não tocou no chão. O bode tinha um chifre notável entre seus olhos.
And as I considered, beholde, a goate came from the West ouer the whole earth, and touched not the grounde: and this goate had an horne that appeared betweene his eyes.
6 Ele chegou ao carneiro que tinha os dois chifres, que eu vi de pé diante do rio, e correu sobre ele com a fúria de seu poder.
And he came vnto the ramme that had the two hornes, whome I had seene standing by the riuer, and ranne vnto him in his fierce rage.
7 Eu o vi chegar perto do carneiro, e ele se moveu com raiva contra ele, bateu no carneiro, e quebrou seus dois chifres. Não havia poder no carneiro para estar diante dele; mas ele o jogou no chão e o pisoteou. Não havia ninguém que pudesse livrar o carneiro de sua mão.
And I saw him come vnto the ramme, and being moued against him, he smote the ramme, and brake his two hornes: and there was no power in the ramme to stand against him, but he cast him downe to the grounde, and stamped vpon him, and there was none that coulde deliuer the ramme out of his power.
8 O bode macho se engrandeceu excessivamente. Quando ele era forte, o grande chifre foi quebrado; e em vez dele, surgiram quatro chifres notáveis em direção aos quatro ventos do céu.
Therefore the goate waxed exceeding great, and when he was at the strongest, his great horne was broken: and for it came vp foure that appeared toward the foure windes of ye heauen.
9 De um deles saiu um chifre pequeno que cresceu excessivamente para o sul, para o leste e para a terra gloriosa.
And out of one of them came foorth a litle horne, which waxed very great toward the South, and toward the East, and towarde the pleasant land.
10 Cresceu muito, até mesmo para o exército do céu; e lançou parte do exército e das estrelas para o chão e as pisoteou.
Yea, it grewe vp vnto the hoste of heauen, and it cast downe some of the hoste, and of the starres to the ground, and trode vpon them,
11 Yes, ela se engrandeceu, até mesmo para o príncipe do exército; e tirou dele o contínuo holocausto, e o lugar de seu santuário foi derrubado.
And extolled himselfe against the prince of the hoste from whome the dayly sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his Sanctuarie was cast downe.
12 O exército foi entregue a ele juntamente com o contínuo holocausto através da desobediência. Ele jogou a verdade no chão, e fez seu prazer e prosperou.
And a time shall be giuen him ouer the dayly sacrifice for the iniquitie: and it shall cast downe the trueth to the ground, and thus shall it doe, and prosper.
13 Então ouvi um santo falando; e outro santo disse a esse certo que falou: “Quanto tempo durará a visão sobre a contínua oferta queimada, e a desobediência que torna desolada, para dar tanto o santuário quanto o exército a ser pisado?”.
Then I heard one of the Saints speaking, and one of the Saints spake vnto a certaine one, saying, Howe long shall endure the vision of the dayly sacrifice, and the iniquitie of the desolation to treade both the Sanctuarie and the armie vnder foote?
14 Ele me disse: “A duas mil e trezentas noites e manhãs”. Então o santuário será limpo”.
And he answered me, Vnto the euening and the morning, two thousand and three hundreth: then shall the Sanctuarie be clensed.
15 Quando eu, até mesmo eu, Daniel, tinha visto a visão, procurei compreendê-la. Então, eis que estava diante de mim alguém com a aparência de um homem.
Nowe when I Daniel had seene the vision, and sought for the meaning, beholde, there stoode before me like the similitude of a man.
16 Ouvi a voz de um homem entre as margens do Ulai, que chamou e disse: “Gabriel, faça este homem entender a visão”.
And I heard a mans voyce betweene the bankes of Vlai, which called, and sayde, Gabriel, make this man to vnderstand the vision.
17 Então ele chegou perto de onde eu estava; e quando ele chegou, eu fiquei assustado e caí de cara; mas ele me disse: “Entenda, filho do homem, pois a visão pertence ao tempo do fim”.
So he came where I stood: and when hee came, I was afraide, and fell vpon my face: but he sayd vnto me, Vnderstand, O sonne of man: for in the last time shalbe the vision.
18 Agora que ele estava falando comigo, caí num sono profundo com meu rosto em direção ao chão; mas ele me tocou e me pôs em pé.
Nowe as he was speaking vnto me, I being a sleepe fell on my face to the ground: but he touched me, and set me vp in my place.
19 Ele disse: “Eis que vos farei saber o que será no último tempo da indignação, pois pertence ao tempo designado do fim.
And he sayde, Beholde, I will shewe thee what shalbe in the last wrath: for in the end of the time appointed it shall come.
20 O carneiro que você viu, que tinha os dois chifres, são os reis da Mídia e da Pérsia.
The ramme which thou sawest hauing two hornes, are the Kings of the Medes and Persians.
21 O bode macho áspero é o rei da Grécia. O grande chifre que está entre seus olhos é o primeiro rei.
And the goate is the King of Grecia, and the great horne that is betweene his eyes, is the first King.
22 Quanto ao que foi quebrado, no lugar onde quatro se levantaram, quatro reinos se levantarão fora da nação, mas não com seu poder.
And that that is broken, and foure stoode vp for it, are foure kingdomes, which shall stand vp of that nation, but not in his strength.
23 “No último tempo de seu reino, quando os transgressores tiverem chegado ao máximo, um rei de rosto feroz, e enigmas compreensivos, se levantará.
And in the end of their kingdome, when the rebellious shalbe consumed, a King of fierce countenance, and vnderstanding darke sentences, shall stand vp.
24 Seu poder será poderoso, mas não por seu próprio poder. Ele destruirá incrivelmente e prosperará no que fizer. Ele destruirá os poderosos e o povo santo.
And his power shalbe mightie, but not in his strength: and hee shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mightie, and the holy people.
25 Através de sua política, ele fará prosperar o engano em sua mão. Ele se engrandecerá em seu coração, e destruirá muitos em sua segurança. Ele também se levantará contra o príncipe dos príncipes, mas ele será quebrado sem mãos humanas.
And through his policie also, hee shall cause craft to prosper in his hand, and he shall extoll himselfe in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: hee shall also stande vp against the prince of princes, but he shalbe broken downe without hand.
26 “A visão da noite e da manhã que foi contada é verdadeira; mas sela a visão, pois ela pertence a muitos dias futuros”.
And the vision of the euening and the morning, which is declared, is true: therefore seale thou vp the vision, for it shall be after many dayes.
27 Eu, Daniel, desmaiei, e fiquei doente por alguns dias. Depois me levantei e fiz os negócios do rei. Fiquei imaginando a visão, mas ninguém a compreendeu.
And I Daniel was striken and sicke certaine dayes: but when I rose vp, I did the Kings busines, and I was astonished at the vision, but none vnderstood it.
