Daniel 6
1 It agradou a Darius por colocar sobre o reino cento e vinte governadores locais, que deveriam estar em todo o reino;
It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;
2 e sobre eles três presidentes, dos quais Daniel era um, para que esses governadores locais lhes dessem contas, e para que o rei não sofresse nenhuma perda.
And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.
3 Então este Daniel se distinguiu acima dos presidentes e dos governadores locais, porque havia nele um excelente espírito; e o rei pensou em colocá-lo sobre todo o reino.
Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.
4 Então os presidentes e os governadores locais procuraram encontrar ocasião contra Daniel como tocando o reino; mas não conseguiram encontrar ocasião ou falha, porque ele era fiel. Não foi encontrado nenhum erro ou falha nele.
Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.
5 Então estes homens disseram: “Não encontraremos nenhuma ocasião contra este Daniel, a menos que a encontremos contra ele a respeito da lei de seu Deus”.
Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.
6 Então estes presidentes e governadores locais reuniram-se ao rei, e disseram-lhe: “Rei Dario, vive para sempre!
Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever.
7 Todos os presidentes do reino, os deputados e os governadores locais, os conselheiros e os governadores, consultaram-se para estabelecer um estatuto real e para fazer um decreto forte, para que quem pedir uma petição a qualquer deus ou homem por trinta dias, exceto a ti, ó rei, ele seja lançado na cova dos leões.
All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of you, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.
8 Agora, ó rei, estabeleça o decreto e assine o escrito, para que não seja alterado, de acordo com a lei dos medos e persas, que não altera”.
Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which alters not.
9 Therefore O rei Dario assinou o escrito e o decreto.
Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.
10 When Daniel sabia que a escrita estava assinada, entrou em sua casa (agora suas janelas estavam abertas em seu quarto em direção a Jerusalém) e ajoelhava-se de joelhos três vezes ao dia, e rezava, e dava graças diante de seu Deus, como fazia antes.
Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did in old times.
11 Então estes homens se reuniram, e encontraram Daniel fazendo petição e súplica diante de seu Deus.
Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.
12 Então eles se aproximaram e falaram perante o rei a respeito do decreto do rei: “Você não assinou um decreto para que todo homem que fizer uma petição a qualquer deus ou homem dentro de trinta dias, exceto a você, ó rei, seja lançado na cova dos leões?” O rei respondeu: “Isto é verdade, segundo a lei dos medos e persas, que não altera”.
Then they came near, and spoke before the king concerning the king's decree; Have you not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which alters not.
13 Então eles responderam e disseram diante do rei: “Que Daniel, que é dos filhos do cativeiro de Judá, não respeita você, ó rei, nem o decreto que você assinou, mas faz sua petição três vezes ao dia”.
Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regards not you, O king, nor the decree that you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day.
14 Então o rei, ao ouvir estas palavras, ficou muito desagradado, e pôs seu coração em Daniel para entregá-lo; e trabalhou até o pôr do sol para resgatá-lo.
Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.
15 Então estes homens se reuniram ao rei e disseram ao rei: “Saiba, ó rei, que é uma lei dos medos e persas, que nenhum decreto ou estatuto que o rei estabeleça pode ser alterado”.
Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establishes may be changed.
16 Então o rei ordenou, e eles trouxeram Daniel e o lançaram na cova dos leões. O rei falou e disse a Daniel: “Vosso Deus, a quem servis continuamente, ele vos libertará”.
Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spoke and said unto Daniel, Your God whom you serve continually, he will deliver you.
17 Uma pedra foi trazida e colocada na boca da toca; e o rei a selou com seu próprio selo, e com o selo de seus senhores; para que nada fosse mudado em relação a Daniel.
And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.
18 Então o rei foi ao seu palácio, e passou a noite em jejum. Nenhum instrumento musical foi trazido diante dele; e seu sono fugiu dele.
Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of music brought before him: and his sleep went from him.
19 Então o rei levantou-se muito cedo pela manhã, e foi apressado para a cova dos leões.
Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions.
20 Quando chegou perto da toca de Daniel, ele chorou com uma voz perturbada. O rei falou e disse a Daniel: “Daniel, servo do Deus vivo, seu Deus, a quem você serve continuamente, é capaz de livrá-lo dos leões?
And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spoke and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is your God, whom you serve continually, able to deliver you from the lions?
21 Então Daniel disse ao rei: “Ó rei, vive para sempre!
Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.
22 My Deus enviou seu anjo, e calou a boca dos leões, e eles não me feriram, porque a inocência foi encontrada em mim antes dele; e também diante de ti, ó rei, eu não fiz nenhum mal”.
My God has sent his angel, and has shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocence was found in me; and also before you, O king, have I done no hurt.
23 Então o rei ficou extremamente satisfeito, e ordenou que levassem Daniel para fora da toca. Assim, Daniel foi levado para fora da cova, e nenhum tipo de mal foi encontrado sobre ele, porque ele confiou em seu Deus.
Then was the king exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.
24 O rei ordenou, e eles trouxeram aqueles homens que tinham acusado Daniel, e os lançaram na cova dos leões - eles, seus filhos e suas esposas; e os leões os maltrataram, e quebraram todos os ossos antes que eles chegassem ao fundo da cova.
And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces before even they came at the bottom of the den.
25 Então o rei Dario escreveu a todos os povos, nações e línguas que habitam em toda a terra: “A paz seja multiplicada para você. '
Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.
26 “Eu faço um decreto que em todo o domínio do meu reino os homens tremem e temem diante do Deus de Daniel. ' “Pois ele é o Deus vivo”, e firme para sempre. Seu reino é o que não será destruído. Seu domínio será mesmo até o fim.
I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and steadfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.
27 Ele entrega e resgata. Ele trabalha sinais e maravilhas no céu e na terra, que libertou Daniel do poder dos leões”.
He delivers and rescues, and he works signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.
28 Portanto, este Daniel prosperou no reinado de Dario e no reinado de Ciro, o persa.
So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
