Daniel 4
1 Nabucodonosor, o rei, ' a todos os povos, nações e línguas, que habitam em toda a terra: ' A paz seja multiplicada para você. '
Nabugodonosor, the kyng, writith thus to alle puplis and langagis, that dwellen in al erthe, pees be multiplied to you.
2 Pareceu-me bom mostrar os sinais e as maravilhas que o Deus Altíssimo tem trabalhado para comigo. '
Hiy God made at me myraclis and merueils;
3 How grandes são seus sinais! Como são poderosas as suas maravilhas! Seu reino é um reino eterno. Seu domínio é de geração em geração.
therfor it pleside me to preche hise myraclis, for tho ben greet, and hise merueils, for tho ben stronge; and his rewme is an euerlastynge rewme, and his power is in generacioun and in to generacioun.
4 Eu, Nabucodonosor, estava em repouso em minha casa, e florescendo em meu palácio.
I, Nabugodonosor, was restful in myn hous, and flourynge in my paleis;
5 Eu vi um sonho que me deixou com medo; e os pensamentos em minha cama e as visões de minha cabeça me perturbaram.
Y siy a dreem, that made me aferd; and my thouytis in my bed, and the siytis of myn heed disturbliden me.
6 Therefore Fiz um decreto para trazer à minha presença todos os sábios da Babilônia, para que eles me dessem a conhecer a interpretação do sonho.
And a decre was set forth bi me, that alle the wise men of Babiloyne schulden be brouyt in bifor my siyt, and that thei schulden schewe to me the soilyng of the dreem.
7 Then os mágicos, os encantadores, os caldeus e os adivinhos entraram; e eu lhes contei o sonho, mas eles não me deram a conhecer sua interpretação.
Than false dyuynours, astronomyens, Caldeis, and biholderis of auteris entriden; and Y telde the dreem in the siyt of hem, and thei schewiden not to me the soilyng therof, til the felowe in office,
8 But finalmente, Daniel chegou antes de mim, cujo nome era Belteshazzar segundo o nome do meu deus, e em quem está o espírito dos deuses santos. Eu contei o sonho diante dele, dizendo, '
Danyel, to whom the name was Balthasar, bi the name of my God, entride in my siyt, which Danyel hath the spirit of hooli goddis in hym silf; and Y spak the dreem bifor hym.
9 “Belteshazzar, mestre dos mágicos, porque sei que o espírito dos deuses santos está em você e nenhum segredo o perturba, conte-me as visões do meu sonho que eu vi, e sua interpretação.
Balthasar, prince of dyuynouris, whom Y knowe, that thou hast in thee the spirit of hooli goddis, and ech sacrament, ether preuytee, is not vnpossible to thee, telle thou to me the visiouns of my dreemes, whiche Y siy, and the soilyng of tho.
10 These foram as visões da minha cabeça na minha cama: Vi, e eis uma árvore no meio da terra; e sua altura era grande.
This is the visioun of myn heed in my bed. Y siy, and lo! a tree was in the myddis of erthe, and the hiynesse therof was ful greet.
11 A árvore cresceu e era forte. Sua altura chegava até o céu e sua visão até o fim de toda a terra.
And the tree was greet and strong, and the heiythe therof touchide heuene, and the biholdynge therof was `til to the endis of al erthe.
12 Its as folhas eram lindas, e tinha muitos frutos, e nela havia alimento para todos. Os animais do campo tinham sombra debaixo dela, e as aves do céu viviam em seus galhos, e toda a carne era alimentada a partir dela. '
The leeuys therof weren ful faire, and the fruyt therof was ful myche, and the mete of alle was in it; beestis and wielde beestis dwelliden vndur it, and briddis of the eir lyuyden in the braunchis therof, and ech man ete of it.
13 “Eu vi nas visões da minha cabeça na minha cama, e eis que um observador santo desceu do céu.
Thus Y siy in the visioun of myn heed, on my bed. And lo! a wakere, and hooli man cam doun fro heuene,
14 Ele gritou em voz alta e disse isto: “Cortem a árvore e cortem seus ramos! Sacode suas folhas e espalha seus frutos! Que os animais saiam de baixo dela e os pássaros de seus galhos”.
and he criede strongli, and seide thus, Hewe ye doun the tree, and kitte ye doun the bowis therof, and schake ye awei the leeuys therof, and scatere ye abrood the fruytis therof; beestis fle awei, that be vndur it, and briddis fro the bowis therof.
15 Nevertheless deixe o tronco de suas raízes na terra, mesmo com uma faixa de ferro e bronze, na tenra grama do campo; e deixe-o molhado com o orvalho do céu. Deixe sua porção estar com os animais no capim da terra.
Netheles suffre ye the seed of rootis therof in erthe, and be he boondun with a boond of irun and of bras, in erbis that ben with out forth, and in the deew of heuene be he died, and his part be with wielde beestis in the erbe of erthe.
16 Let que seu coração seja mudado do do homem, e que o coração de um animal lhe seja dado. Então que sete vezes passe por cima dele. '
His herte be chaungid fro mannus herte, and the herte of a wielde beeste be youun to hym, and seuene tymes be chaungid on hym.
17 “'A frase é pelo decreto dos observadores e a exigência pela palavra dos santos, para que os vivos saibam que o Altíssimo reina no reino dos homens, e o dá a quem quiser, e estabelece sobre ele o mais baixo dos homens'. '
In the sentence of wakeris it is demed, and it is the word and axyng of seyntis, til lyuynge men knowe, that hiy God is Lord in the rewme of men; and he schal yyue it to whom euere he wole, and he schal ordeyne on it the mekeste man.
18 “Este sonho eu, rei Nabucodonosor, vi; e vós, Belteshazzar, declarais a interpretação, porque todos os sábios do meu reino não são capazes de me fazer conhecer a interpretação; mas vós sois capazes, pois o espírito dos deuses santos está em vós”. '
Y, Nabugodonosor, the kyng, siy this dreem. Therfor thou, Balthasar, telle hastili the interpretyng, for alle the wise men of my rewme moun not seie to me the soilyng; but thou maist, for the spirit of hooli goddis is in thee.
19 Então Daniel, cujo nome era Belteshazzar, ficou mudo por um tempo, e seus pensamentos o perturbaram. O rei respondeu: “Belteshazzar, não deixe que o sonho ou a interpretação, o incomode”. ' Belteshazzar respondeu: “Meu senhor, que o sonho seja para aqueles que te odeiam, e sua interpretação para seus adversários”.

Forsothe the kyng answeride, and seide, Balthasar, the dreem and the interpretyng therof disturble not thee. Balthasar answeride, and seide, My lord, the dreem be to hem that haten thee, and the interpretyng therof be to thin enemyes.
20 A árvore que viste, que cresceu e era forte, cuja altura alcançava o céu e sua visão para toda a terra;
The tree which thou siyest hiy and strong, whos heiythe stretchith `til to heuene, and the biholdyng therof in to ech lond,
21 cujas folhas eram lindas e seus frutos abundantes, e nela havia alimento para todos; sob a qual viviam os animais do campo, e em cujos galhos as aves do céu tinham sua habitação -
and the faireste braunchis therof, and the fruyt therof ful myche, and the mete of alle in it, and beestis of the feeld dwellynge vndur it, and the briddis of the eir dwellynge in the boowis therof,
22 és tu, ó rei, que cresceste e te tornaste forte; pois tua grandeza cresceu, e alcança o céu, e teu domínio até os confins da terra. '
thou art, kyng, that art magnefied, and wexidist strong, and thi greetnesse encreesside, and cam `til to heuene, and thi power in to the endis of al erthe.
23 “Considerando que o rei viu um observador santo descendo do céu e dizendo: 'Corte a árvore e destrua-a; não obstante, deixe o toco de suas raízes na terra, mesmo com uma faixa de ferro e bronze, na tenra grama do campo, e deixe-o molhado com o orvalho do céu'. Que sua porção esteja com os animais do campo, até que sete vezes passe por cima dele”. '
Sotheli that the kyng siy a wakere and hooli come doun fro heuene, and seie, Hewe ye doun the tree, and distrie ye it, netheles leeue ye the seed of rootis therof in erthe, and be he boundun with irun and bras, in erbis with out forth, and be he bispreynt with the deew of heuene, and his mete be with wielde beestis, til seuene tymes be chaungid on hym;
24 “Esta é a interpretação, ó rei, e é o decreto do Altíssimo, que veio sobre meu senhor, o rei:
this is the interpretyng of the sentence of the hiyeste, which sentence is comun on my lord, the kyng.
25 Você será expulso dos homens e sua morada será com os animais do campo. Serás feito para comer erva como os bois, e serás molhado com o orvalho do céu, e sete vezes passarás por cima de ti, até que saibas que o Altíssimo governa no reino dos homens, e o dá a quem quer que ele queira.
Thei schulen caste thee out fro men, and thi dwellyng schal be with beestys and wielde beestis, and thou schalt ete hey, as an oxe doith, but also thou schalt be bisched with the dew of heuene, also seuene tymes schulen be chaungid on thee, til thou knowe, that hiy God is Lord `on the rewme of men, and yyueth it to whom euer he wole.
26 Whereas foi ordenado deixar o tronco das raízes da árvore, seu reino estará seguro para você depois de saber que os Céus governam.
Forsothe that he comaundide, that the seed of rootis therof, that is, of the tree, schulde be left, thi rewme schal dwelle to thee, aftir that thou knowist that the power is of heuene.
27 Therefore, ó rei, que meu conselho seja aceitável para ti, e rompa teus pecados pela justiça, e tuas iniquidades pela misericórdia para com os pobres. Talvez possa haver um alongamento de sua tranqüilidade”. '
Wherfor, kyng, my counsel plese thee, and ayenbie thi synnes with almesdedis, and ayenbie thi wickidnessis with mercies of pore men; in hap God schal foryyue thi trespassis.
28 All isto veio sobre o Rei Nabucodonosor.
Alle these thingis camen on Nabugodonosor, the kyng.
29 At ao final de doze meses ele estava andando no palácio real da Babilônia.
After the ende of twelue monethis he walkide in the halle of Babiloyne;
30 O rei falou e disse: “Não é esta grande Babilônia, que construí para a morada real pela força do meu poder e pela glória de minha majestade? '
and the kyng answeride, and seide, Whether this is not Babiloyne, the greet citee, which Y bildide in to the hous of rewme, in the miyt of my strengthe, and in the glorie of my fairnesse?
31 While a palavra estava na boca do rei, uma voz veio do céu, dizendo: “Ó rei Nabucodonosor, a ti se diz: 'O reino partiu de ti'.
Whanne the word was yit in the mouth of the kyng, a vois felle doun fro heuene, Nabugodonosor, kyng, it is seid to thee, Thi rewme is passid fro thee,
32 Serás expulso dos homens, e tua morada será com os animais do campo”. Serás feito para comer erva como os bois”. Sete vezes vos passarão por cima, até que saibais que o Altíssimo reina no reino dos homens, e o dai a quem ele quiser”. '

33 This foi realizado na mesma hora em Nebuchadnezzar. Ele foi expulso dos homens e comeu grama como bois; e seu corpo foi molhado com o orvalho do céu até que seus cabelos cresceram como penas de águias, e suas unhas como garras de pássaros. '
In the same our the word was fillid on Nabugodonosor, and he was cast out fro men, and he eet hey, as an oxe doith, and his bodi was colouryd with the deew of heuene, til hise heeris wexiden at the licnesse of eglis, and hise nailis as the nailis of briddis.
34 At no final dos dias eu, Nabucodonosor, levantei meus olhos para o céu, e minha compreensão voltou para mim; e abençoei o Altíssimo, e elogiei e honrei aquele que vive para sempre, ' pois seu domínio é um domínio eterno, e seu reino de geração em geração.
Therfor after the ende of daies, Y, Nabugodonosor, reiside myn iyen to heuene, and my wit was yoldun to me; and Y blesside the hiyeste, and Y heriede, and glorifiede hym that lyueth with outen ende; for whi his power is euerlastynge power, and his rewme is in generacioun and in to generacioun.
35 All os habitantes da terra são reputados como nada; e ele faz de acordo com sua vontade no exército do céu, e entre os habitantes da terra; e ninguém pode parar sua mão, ou pergunte-lhe: “O que você está fazendo?”.
And alle the dwelleris of erthe ben arettid in to noyt at hym; for bi his wille he doith, bothe in the vertues of heuene, and in the dwelleris of erthe, and noon is, that ayenstondith his hond, and seith to hym, Whi didist thou so?
36 At ao mesmo tempo meu entendimento voltou para mim; e para a glória de meu reino, minha majestade e brilho voltaram para mim. Meus conselheiros e meus senhores me procuraram; e eu estava estabelecido em meu reino, e a excelente grandeza foi acrescentada a mim.
In that tyme my wit turnede ayen to me, and Y cam fulli to the onour and fairnesse of my rewme, and my figure turnede ayen to me; and my beste men and my magistratis souyten me, and Y was set in my rewme, and my greet doyng was encreessid grettir to me.
37 Now Eu, Nabucodonosor, louvo, exalto e honro o Rei dos Céus; pois todas as suas obras são verdade e seus caminhos são justiça; e aqueles que andam com orgulho, ele é capaz de humilhar. '
Now therfor Y Nabugodonosor herie, and magnefie, and glorifie the kyng of heuene; for alle hise werkis ben trewe, and alle his weies ben domes; and he may make meke hem that goon in pride.
