Atos 20
1 Depois que o alvoroço cessou, Paulo mandou chamar os discípulos, despediu-se deles e partiu para ir à Macedônia.
After the uproar had ceased, Paul sent for the disciples and, after encouraging them, took leave of them, and departed to go into Macedonia.
2 Quando ele passou por aquelas partes e os encorajou com muitas palavras, ele veio para a Grécia.
When he had gone through those parts, and had encouraged them with many words, he came into Greece.
3 Quando ele passou três meses lá, e um complô foi feito contra ele pelos judeus quando ele estava prestes a embarcar para a Síria, ele decidiu voltar pela Macedônia.
When he had spent three months there, and a plot was made against him by Jews as he was about to set sail for Syria, he determined to return through Macedonia.
4 Estes o acompanharam até a Ásia: Sopater de Beréia, Aristarco e Secundo dos Tessalonicenses, Gaio de Derbe, Timóteo e Tíquico e Trófimo da Ásia.
He was accompanied by Sopater son of Pyrrhus of Beroea; Aristarchus and Secundus of the Thessalonians; Gaius of Derbe; Timothy; and Tychicus and Trophimus of Asia.
5 Mas estes tinham ido adiante, e estavam nos esperando em Troas.
But these had gone ahead, and were waiting for us at Troas.
6 Navegamos para longe de Filipos depois dos dias dos Pães ázimos, e chegamos a eles em Troas em cinco dias, onde ficamos sete dias.
We sailed away from Philippi after the days of Unleavened Bread, and came to them at Troas in five days, where we stayed seven days.
7 No primeiro dia da semana, quando os discípulos estavam reunidos para partir o pão, Paulo falou com eles, com a intenção de partir no dia seguinte; e continuou seu discurso até a meia-noite.
On the first day of the week, when we were gathered together to break bread, Paul talked with them, intending to depart on the next day, and continued his speech until midnight.
8 Havia muitas luzes na sala superior onde estávamos reunidos.
There were many lights in the upper chamber where we were gathered together.
9 Um certo jovem chamado Eutychus sentou-se na janela, pesado por um sono profundo. Como Paul falou ainda mais tempo, sendo pesado pelo sono, ele caiu do terceiro andar e foi levado morto.
A certain young man named Eutychus sat in the window, weighed down with deep sleep. As Paul spoke still longer, being weighed down by his sleep, he fell down from the third story, and was taken up dead.
10 Paulo desceu e caiu sobre ele, e abraçando-o disse: “Não se preocupe, pois sua vida está nele”.
Paul went down, and fell upon him, and embracing him said, "Do not be troubled, for his life is in him."
11 Quando ele tinha subido, tinha partido o pão e comido, e tinha conversado com eles por muito tempo, mesmo até o romper do dia, ele partiu.
When he had gone up, and had broken bread, and eaten, and had talked with them a long while, even until break of day, he departed.
12 Eles trouxeram o menino vivo, e ficaram muito consolados.
They brought the boy in alive, and were greatly comforted.
13 Mas nós, indo em frente para o navio, partimos para Assos, com a intenção de levar Paulo a bordo; pois ele tinha assim arranjado, com a intenção de ir por terra.
But we who went ahead to the ship set sail for Assos, intending to take Paul aboard there, for he had so arranged, intending himself to go by land.
14 Quando ele nos encontrou em Assos, nós o levamos a bordo e viemos para Mitylene.
When he met us at Assos, we took him aboard, and came to Mitylene.
15 Navegando de lá, chegamos no dia seguinte, em frente a Chios. No dia seguinte, tocamos em Samos e ficamos em Trogyllium, e no dia seguinte, chegamos a Miletus.
Sailing from there, we came the following day opposite Chios. The next day we landed at Samos, and the day after we came to Miletus.
16 Pois Paulo tinha determinado velejar além de Éfeso, para não ter que passar tempo na Ásia; pois ele estava se apressando, se fosse possível, a estar em Jerusalém no dia de Pentecostes.
For Paul had determined to sail past Ephesus, that he might not have to spend time in Asia; for he was hastening, if it were possible for him, to be in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost.
17 De Miletus ele enviou a Éfeso e chamou para si os anciãos da assembléia.
From Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called to himself the elders of the church.
18 Quando chegaram a ele, ele lhes disse: “Vocês mesmos sabem, desde o primeiro dia em que pus os pés na Ásia, como eu estava com vocês o tempo todo,
When they had come to him, he said to them, "You yourselves know, from the first day that I set foot in Asia, how I was with you all the time,
19 servindo ao Senhor com toda humildade, com muitas lágrimas e com as provações que me aconteceram pelos enredos dos judeus;
serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears, and with trials which happened to me by the plots of the Jews;
20 como eu não me encolhi de declarar a vocês qualquer coisa que fosse proveitosa, ensinando-os publicamente e de casa em casa,
how I did not hold back from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you publicly and from house to house,
21 testemunhando tanto aos judeus como aos gregos o arrependimento para com Deus e a fé para com nosso Senhor Jesus.
testifying both to Jews and to Greeks repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus.
22 Agora, eis que vou preso pelo Espírito a Jerusalém, sem saber o que me acontecerá lá;
And now, look, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there;
23 exceto que o Espírito Santo testifica em cada cidade, dizendo que laços e aflições esperam por mim.
except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions wait for me.
24 Mas estas coisas não contam; nem tenho a minha vida como preciosa para mim mesmo, para que possa terminar a minha raça com alegria, e o ministério que recebi do Senhor Jesus, para testemunhar plenamente a Boa Nova da graça de Deus.
But I make my life an account of nothing precious to myself, so that I may finish my race, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify to the Good News of the grace of God.
25 “Agora, eis que sei que todos vocês, entre os quais eu fui pregar o Reino de Deus, não verão mais meu rosto.
"And now, look, I know that you all, among whom I went about proclaiming the kingdom, will see my face no more.
26 Portanto, testifico-lhes hoje que estou limpo do sangue de todos os homens,
Therefore I testify to you today that I am innocent of everyone's blood,
27 pois não me encolhi de declarar-lhes todo o conselho de Deus”.
for I did not hold back from declaring to you the whole plan of God.
28 Prestai atenção, portanto, a vós mesmos e a todo o rebanho, no qual o Espírito Santo vos fez superintendentes, para pastorear a assembléia do Senhor e de Deus, que ele comprou com seu próprio sangue.
Watch out for yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which he purchased with his own blood.
29 Pois eu sei que, após minha partida, entrarão no meio de vós lobos cruéis, não poupando o rebanho.
For I know that after my departure, vicious wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
30 Os homens surgirão de entre vós, falando coisas perversas, para atrair os discípulos atrás deles.
Men will arise from among your own selves, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.
31 Portanto, observem, lembrando que durante um período de três anos eu não deixei de admoestar a todos noite e dia com lágrimas.
Therefore watch, remembering that for a period of three years I did not cease to admonish everyone night and day with tears.
32 Agora, irmãos, confio-vos a Deus e à palavra de sua graça, que é capaz de edificar e dar-vos a herança entre todos aqueles que são santificados.
Now I entrust you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build up, and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
33 I não cobiçou a prata, o ouro ou as roupas de ninguém.
I coveted no one's silver, or gold, or clothing.
34 Vocês mesmos sabem que estas mãos serviram às minhas necessidades, e aquelas que estavam comigo.
You yourselves know that these hands served my necessities, and those who were with me.
35 Em todas as coisas vos dei um exemplo, que tão laboriosas devem ajudar os fracos, e recordar as palavras do Senhor Jesus, que ele mesmo disse: 'É mais abençoado dar do que receber'”.
In all things I gave you an example, that so laboring you ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"
36 Quando ele falou estas coisas, ajoelhou-se e rezou com todas elas.
When he had spoken these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all.
37 Todos choraram livremente, caíram no pescoço de Paulo e o beijaram,
They all wept a lot, and fell on Paul's neck and kissed him,
38 sorrowing principalmente por causa da palavra que ele havia falado, para que não vissem mais seu rosto. Depois o acompanharam até o navio.
sorrowing most of all because of the word which he had spoken, that they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him to the ship.
