Atos 15
1 Alguns homens desceram da Judéia e ensinaram aos irmãos: “A menos que você seja circuncidado segundo o costume de Moisés, você não pode ser salvo”.
Some men came down from Judea and taught the brothers, "Unless you are circumcised after the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved."
2 Portanto, quando Paulo e Barnabé não tiveram nenhuma pequena discórdia e discussão com eles, eles nomearam Paulo, Barnabé, e alguns outros deles para irem a Jerusalém para os apóstolos e anciãos sobre esta questão.
Therefore when Paul and Barnabas had no small discord and discussion with them, they appointed Paul and Barnabas, and some others of them, to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders about this question.
3 Eles, sendo enviados a caminho pela assembléia, passaram pela Fenícia e Samaria, declarando a conversão dos gentios. Eles causaram grande alegria a todos os irmãos.
They, being sent on their way by the church, passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, describing in detail the conversion of the non-Jewish people. They caused great joy to all the brothers.
4 Quando chegaram a Jerusalém, foram recebidos pela assembléia e pelos apóstolos e anciãos, e relataram tudo o que Deus tinha feito com eles.
When they had come to Jerusalem, they were received by the church and the apostles and the elders, and they reported all things that God had done with them.
5 Mas alguns da seita dos fariseus que acreditavam se levantaram, dizendo: “É necessário circuncidá-los e ordená-los a cumprir a lei de Moisés”.
But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, "It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the Law of Moses."
6 Os apóstolos e os anciãos se reuniram para ver sobre este assunto.
The apostles and the elders were gathered together to see about this matter.
7 Quando houve muita discussão, Pedro levantou-se e disse-lhes: “Irmãos, vocês sabem que há um bom tempo Deus fez uma escolha entre vocês para que pela minha boca as nações ouvissem a palavra da Boa Nova e acreditassem”.
When there had been much discussion, Peter rose up and said to them, "Brothers, you know that a good while ago God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the nations should hear the word of the Good News, and believe.
8 Deus, que conhece o coração, testemunhou sobre eles, dando-lhes o Espírito Santo, assim como Ele fez conosco.
God, who knows the heart, testified about them by giving the Holy Spirit, just like he did to us.
9 Ele não fez distinção entre nós e eles, purificando seus corações pela fé.
He made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith.
10 Agora, portanto, por que você tenta a Deus, para que ponha um jugo no pescoço dos discípulos que nem nossos pais nem nós pudemos suportar?
Now therefore why do you tempt God, that you should put a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11 Mas cremos que somos salvos pela graça do Senhor Jesus, assim como eles são”.
But we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they are."
12 Toda a multidão se calou e escutou Barnabé e Paulo relatando os sinais e maravilhas que Deus tinha feito entre as nações através deles.
And all the people kept quiet, and they listened to Barnabas and Paul reporting what signs and wonders God had done among the nations through them.
13 Depois que eles se calaram, Tiago respondeu: “Irmãos, escutem-me.
After they were silent, James answered, "Brothers, listen to me.
14 Simeão relatou como Deus visitou as nações pela primeira vez para tirar delas um povo para seu nome.
Simeon has reported how God first visited the nations, to take out of them a people for his name.
15 Isto está de acordo com as palavras dos profetas. Como está escrito,
This agrees with the words of the prophets. As it is written,
16 'Depois destas coisas, eu voltarei. Vou construir novamente o tabernáculo de David, que caiu. Vou construir novamente suas ruínas. Vou criar o
'After these things I will return; and I will rebuild the tabernacle of David that has fallen, and I will rebuild its ruins, and I will restore it,
17 para que o resto dos homens possam procurar o Senhor: todos os gentios que são chamados pelo meu nome, diz o Senhor, que faz todas essas coisas”.
that the rest of humanity may seek after the Lord, and all the nations who are called by my name, says the Lord, who makes these things
known from long ago.' (aiōn g165)
19 Portanto, meu julgamento é que não incomodamos aqueles dentre os gentios que se voltam para Deus,
"Therefore my judgment is that we do not trouble those from among the non-Jewish people who turn to God,
20 mas que lhes escrevemos que se abstenham da poluição dos ídolos, da imoralidade sexual, do que é estrangulado e do sangue.
but that we write to them that they abstain from things defiled by idols, from sexual immorality, from what is strangled, and from blood.
21 Pois Moisés de gerações antigas tem em cada cidade aqueles que o pregam, sendo lido nas sinagogas todos os sábados”.
For Moses from generations of old has in every city those who proclaim him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath."
22 Então pareceu bom aos apóstolos e aos anciãos, com toda a assembléia, escolher homens fora de sua empresa e enviá-los para Antioquia com Paulo e Barnabé: Judas, chamado Barsabás, e Silas, homens principais entre os irmãos.
Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men out of their company, and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas: Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, chief men among the brothers.
23 Eles escreveram estas coisas pela mão deles: “Os apóstolos, os anciãos, e os irmãos, aos irmãos que são dos gentios em Antioquia, Síria, e Cilícia: saudações.
They wrote these things by their hand: "The apostles, the elders, and the brothers, to the non-Jewish brothers who are in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: greetings.
24 Porque ouvimos dizer que alguns que saíram de nós vos perturbaram com palavras, perturbando vossas almas, dizendo: “Deveis ser circuncidados e guardar a lei”, aos quais não demos nenhum mandamento;
Because we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, to whom we gave no commandment;
25 pareceu-nos bom, tendo chegado a um acordo, escolher homens e enviá-los a vós com nossos amados Barnabé e Paulo,
it seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to choose out men and send them to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
26 homens que arriscaram suas vidas pelo nome de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.
who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
27 Enviamos, portanto, Judas e Silas, que eles mesmos também lhes dirão as mesmas coisas de boca em boca.
We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who themselves will also tell you the same things by word of mouth.
28 Pois pareceu-nos bem ao Espírito Santo, e a nós, não impor a vocês um fardo maior do que estas coisas necessárias:
For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay no greater burden on you than these necessary things:
29 que se abstenham das coisas sacrificadas aos ídolos, do sangue, das coisas estranguladas e da imoralidade sexual, das quais, se vocês se mantiverem, estarão bem convosco. Adeus”.
that you abstain from things sacrificed to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality, from which if you keep yourselves, it will be well with you. Farewell."
30 Então, quando foram enviados, eles vieram para Antioquia. Tendo reunido a multidão, eles entregaram a carta.
So, when they were sent off, they came to Antioch, and having gathered the congregation together, they delivered the letter.
31 Quando a leram, regozijaram-se com o incentivo.
When they had read it, they rejoiced over the encouragement.
32 Judas e Silas, também eles profetas, encorajaram os irmãos com muitas palavras e os fortaleceram.
Judas and Silas, also being prophets themselves, encouraged the brothers with many words, and strengthened them.
33 Depois de terem passado algum tempo ali, foram despedidos em paz dos irmãos para os apóstolos.
After they had spent some time there, they were sent back with greetings from the brothers to those that had sent them forth.
However, Silas decided to remain there.
35 Mas Paulo e Barnabé permaneceram em Antioquia, ensinando e pregando a palavra do Senhor, com muitos outros também.
And Paul and Barnabas stayed in Antioch, teaching and proclaiming the word of the Lord, with many others also.
36 Depois de alguns dias, Paulo disse a Barnabé: “Vamos voltar agora e visitar nossos irmãos em cada cidade em que proclamamos a palavra do Senhor, para ver como eles estão se saindo”.
After some days Paul said to Barnabas, "Let us return now and visit our brothers in every city in which we proclaimed the word of the Lord, to see how they are doing."
37 Barnabé planejava levar João, que se chamava Marcos, também com eles.
Barnabas planned to take John, who was called Mark, with them also.
38 Mas Paul não achou que fosse uma boa idéia levar com eles alguém que se tivesse retirado deles na Pamphylia, e não foi com eles para fazer o trabalho.
But Paul did not think that it was a good idea to take with them someone who had withdrawn from them in Pamphylia, and did not go with them to do the work.
39 Então a contenda cresceu tão forte que eles se separaram um do outro. Barnabé levou Marcos com ele e navegou para Chipre,
Then the contention grew so sharp that they separated from each other. Barnabas took Mark with him, and sailed away to Cyprus,
40 mas Paulo escolheu Silas e saiu, sendo elogiado pelos irmãos à graça de Deus.
but Paul chose Silas, and went out, being commended by the brothers to the grace of the Lord.
41 Ele passou pela Síria e Cilícia, fortalecendo as assembléias.
He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.
