2 Timóteo 1
1 Paulo, apóstolo de Jesus Cristo através da vontade de Deus, segundo a promessa da vida que está em Cristo Jesus,
PAUL, a legate of Jesus the Messiah by the pleasure of God, according to the promise of life which is in Jesus the Messiah;
2 para Timóteo, meu amado filho: Graça, misericórdia e paz, de Deus Pai e de Cristo Jesus nosso Senhor.
to Timothy a beloved son; grace, and mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus the Messiah.
3 Agradeço a Deus, a quem sirvo como meus antepassados, com uma consciência pura. Quão incessante é minha memória de vocês em minhas petições, noite e dia
I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with a pure conscience, that I continually remember thee in my prayers, by night and by day:
4 desejando ver vocês, lembrando suas lágrimas, para que eu possa estar cheio de alegria;
and I desire to see thee, and I call to mind thy tears; that I may be filled with joy,
5 tendo sido lembrado da fé sincera que há em vocês, que viveram primeiro em sua avó Lois e sua mãe Eunice e, estou convencido, em vocês também.
by the recollection which I have, by thy genuine faith, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and in thy mother Eunice, and also, I am persuaded, in thee.
6 Por esta causa, lembro-lhes que vocês devem despertar o dom de Deus que está em vocês através da imposição de minhas mãos.
Wherefore I remind thee, that thou excite the gift of God, that is in thee by the imposition of my hands.
7 Pois Deus não nos deu um espírito de medo, mas de poder, amor e autocontrole.
For God hath not given us a spirit of fear, but of energy, and of love, and of instruction.
8 Portanto, não se envergonhe do testemunho de nosso Senhor, nem de mim, seu prisioneiro; mas sofra privações pela Boa Nova de acordo com o poder de Deus,
Therefore be not thou ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner; but endure evils in connection with the Gospel, through the power of God;
9 que nos salvou e nos chamou com um chamado santo, não de acordo com nossas obras, mas de acordo com seu próprio propósito e graça, que nos foi dado em Cristo Jesus antes dos tempos eternos, (aiōnios g166)
who hath vivified us, and called us with a holy calling; not according to our works, but according to his good pleasure, and his grace that was given us in Jesus the Messiah from time before the ages, (aiōnios g166)
10 mas agora foi revelado pelo aparecimento de nosso Salvador, Cristo Jesus, que aboliu a morte e trouxe a vida e a imortalidade à luz através da Boa Nova.
and is now made known by the appearing of our Vivifier, Jesus the Messiah; who hath abolished death, and hath made manifest life and immortality, by the gospel:
11 Para isso fui nomeado como pregador, apóstolo e mestre dos gentios.
of which I am constituted a herald and a legate, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
12 Por esta causa, também sofro estas coisas. No entanto, não tenho vergonha, pois conheço aquele em quem acreditei, e estou convencido de que ele é capaz de guardar aquilo que eu lhe comprometi contra aquele dia.
Therefore I suffer these things: and I am not ashamed; for I know in whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is competent to keep for me my deposit against that day.
13 Mantenha o padrão de palavras sãs que você ouviu de mim, na fé e no amor que está em Cristo Jesus.
Let the form of sound words, which thou hast heard from me, abide with thee; with faith and love, in Jesus the Messiah.
14 Aquele bem que vos foi confiado, guardai através do Espírito Santo que habita em nós.
Keep thou the good deposit, by the Holy Spirit who dwelleth in us.
15 Isto você sabe, que todos os que estão na Ásia se afastaram de mim, dos quais são Phygelus e Hermogenes.
This thou knowest, that all those in Asia have turned from me; and that among them are Phygellus and Hermogenes.
16 Que o Senhor conceda misericórdia à casa de Onesiphorus, pois muitas vezes ele me refrescou, e não se envergonhou da minha corrente,
May our Lord bestow mercy on the house of Onesiphorus; for, many times, he refreshed me, and was not ashamed of the chains of my imprisonment.
17 mas quando ele estava em Roma, ele me procurou diligentemente e me encontrou
But also, when he came to Rome, he sought for me with diligence, and found me.
18 (o Senhor lhe conceda encontrar a misericórdia do Senhor naquele dia); e em quantas coisas ele serviu em Éfeso, você sabe muito bem.
May our Lord grant him, that he may find mercy with our Lord, in that day. And how he ministered to me at Ephesus, thou very well knowest.
