1 No décimo segundo ano de Acaz, rei de Judá, Oséias, filho de Elá, começou a reinar em Samaria sobre Israel por nove anos.
In the twelft yeere of Ahaz King of Iudah began Hoshea the sonne of Elah to reigne in Samaria ouer Israel, and reigned nine yeeres.
2 Ele fez o que era mau aos olhos de Iavé, mas não como os reis de Israel que foram antes dele.
And he did euill in the sight of the Lord, but not as the Kinges of Israel, that were before him.
3 Shalmaneser, rei da Assíria, veio contra ele; e Oséias tornou-se seu servo, e lhe trouxe tributo.
And Shalmaneser king of Asshur came vp against him, and Hoshea became his seruant, and gaue him presents.
4 O rei da Assíria descobriu uma conspiração em Oséias; pois ele havia enviado mensageiros para So, rei do Egito, e não ofereceu nenhum tributo ao rei da Assíria, como ele havia feito ano após ano. Por isso, o rei da Assíria o apreendeu e o amarrou na prisão.
And the King of Asshur founde treason in Hoshea: for he had sent messengers to So King of Egypt, and brought no present vnto the King of Asshur, as he had done yeerely: therfore the king of Asshur shut him vp, and put him in prison.
5 Então o rei da Assíria subiu por toda a terra, foi até Samaria, e a sitiou três anos.
Then the king of Asshur came vp throughout all the lande, and went against Samaria, and besieged it three yeere.
6 No nono ano de Oséias, o rei da Assíria tomou Samaria e levou Israel para a Assíria, e os colocou em Halah, e no Habor, o rio de Gozan, e nas cidades dos Medos.
In the ninth yeere of Hoshea, the King of Asshur tooke Samaria, and caryed Israel away vnto Asshur, and put them in Halah, and in Habor by the riuer of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.
7 Foi assim porque os filhos de Israel tinham pecado contra Javé seu Deus, que os tirou da terra do Egito sob a mão do Faraó, rei do Egito, e temeram outros deuses,
For when the children of Israel sinned against the Lord their God, which had brought them out of the land of Egypt, from vnder ye hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and feared other gods,
8 e andaram nos estatutos das nações que Javé expulsou de diante dos filhos de Israel, e dos reis de Israel, que eles fizeram.
And walked according to the facions of the Heathen, whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel, and after the maners of the Kings of Israel, which they vsed,
9 Os filhos de Israel fizeram secretamente coisas que não eram corretas contra Javé seu Deus; e construíram lugares altos para si mesmos em todas as suas cidades, desde a torre dos guardas até a cidade fortificada;
And the children of Israel had done secretly things that were not vpright before the Lord their God, and throughout all their cities had built hie places, both from the tower of the watch, to the defensed citie,
10 e ergueram para si mesmos pilares e varas de Asera em cada colina alta e debaixo de cada árvore verde;
And had made them images and groues vpon euery hie hill, and vnder euery greene tree,
11 e lá queimaram incenso em todos os lugares altos, como as nações que Javé levou antes deles; e fizeram coisas más para provocar Javé à ira;
And there burnt incense in all the hie places, as did the heathen, whom the Lord had taken away before them, and wrought wicked things to anger the Lord,
12 e serviram ídolos, dos quais Javé lhes disse: “Não fareis isto”.”
And serued idoles: whereof the Lord had sayd vnto them, Ye shall do no such thing,
13 No entanto, Javé testemunhou a Israel e a Judá, por cada profeta e por cada vidente, dizendo: “Convertei-vos de vossos maus caminhos, e guardai meus mandamentos e meus estatutos, de acordo com toda a lei que ordenei a vossos pais, e que vos enviei por meus servos, os profetas”.
Notwithstanding the Lord testified to Israel, and to Iudah by all the Prophets, and by all the Seers, saying, Turne from your euill wayes, and keepe my commandements and my statutes, according to all the Lawe, which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my seruants the Prophets.
14 Notwithstanding, eles não quiseram ouvir, mas endureceram seu pescoço como o pescoço de seus pais que não acreditavam em Yahweh, seu Deus.
Neuerthelesse they would not obey, but hardened their neckes, like to the neckes of their fathers, that did not beleeue in the Lord their God.
15 Rejeitaram seus estatutos e seu pacto que ele fez com seus pais, e seus testemunhos que ele lhes testemunhou; e seguiram a vaidade, e tornaram-se vaidosos, e seguiram as nações que estavam ao seu redor, sobre as quais Javé lhes ordenara que não fizessem como eles.
And they refused his statutes and his couenant, that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies (wherewith he witnessed vnto them) and they followed vanitie, and became vaine, and followed the heathen that were round about them: concerning whome the Lord had charged them, that they should not do like them.
16 Eles abandonaram todos os mandamentos de Iavé seu Deus, e fizeram imagens fundidas para si mesmos, mesmo dois bezerros, e fizeram um Asherah, e adoraram todo o exército do céu, e serviram Baal.
Finally they left all the commandements of the Lord their God, and made them molten images, euen two calues, and made a groue, and worshipped all the hoste of heauen, and serued Baal.
17 Eles fizeram seus filhos e suas filhas passarem pelo fogo, usaram adivinhações e encantamentos, e venderam-se para fazer o que era mau aos olhos de Iavé, para provocá-lo à raiva.
And they made their sonnes and their daughters passe thorowe the fire, and vsed witchcraft and inchantments, yea, solde them selues to doe euill in the sight of the Lord, to anger him.
18 Portanto, Javé ficou muito zangado com Israel, e os tirou de sua vista. Não havia mais ninguém além da tribo de Judá apenas.
Therefore the Lord was exceeding wroth with Israel, and put them out of his sight, and none was left but the tribe of Iudah onely.
19 Também Judá não guardou os mandamentos de Javé seu Deus, mas caminhou nos estatutos de Israel que eles fizeram.
Yet Iudah kept not the commandements of the Lord their God, but walked according to the facion of Israel, which they vsed.
20 Javé rejeitou toda a descendência de Israel, afligiu-os e os entregou nas mãos de invasores, até que os expulsou de sua vista.
Therefore the Lord cast off all the seede of Israel, and afflicted them, and deliuered them into the handes of spoylers, vntill he had cast them out of his sight.
21 Pois ele arrancou Israel da casa de Davi; e eles fizeram de Jeroboão o filho de Nebate rei; e Jeroboão expulsou Israel de seguir a Iavé, e os fez pecar um grande pecado.
For he cut off Israel from the house of Dauid, and they made Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat King: and Ieroboam drewe Israel away from following the Lord, and made them sinne a great sinne.
22 Os filhos de Israel caminharam em todos os pecados de Jeroboão que ele fez; não se afastaram deles
For the children of Israel walked in all the sinnes of Ieroboam, which he did, and departed not therefrom,
23 até que Javé tirou Israel de sua vista, como ele disse por todos os seus servos, os profetas. Então Israel foi levado de sua própria terra para a Assíria até os dias de hoje.
Vntill the Lord put Israel away out of his sight, as he had said by all his seruants the Prophets, and caryed Israel away out of their land to Asshur vnto this day.
24 O rei da Assíria trouxe pessoas da Babilônia, de Cuthah, de Avva, e de Hamath e Sefarvaim, e as colocou nas cidades de Samaria ao invés das crianças de Israel; e elas possuíam Samaria e viviam em suas cidades.
And the King of Asshur brought folke from Babel, and from Cuthah, and from Aua, and from Hamath, and from Sepharuaim, and placed them in the cities of Samaria in steade of the children of Israel: so they possessed Samaria, and dwelt in the cities thereof.
25 Então foi, no início de sua residência lá, que eles não temiam Yahweh. Portanto, Javé enviou leões entre eles, o que matou alguns deles.
And at the beginning of their dwelling there, they feared not the Lord: therefore the Lord sent lions among them, which slewe them.
26 Portanto, eles falaram ao rei da Assíria, dizendo: “As nações que vocês levaram e colocaram nas cidades de Samaria não conhecem a lei do deus da terra”. Por isso ele enviou leões entre eles; e eis que os matam, porque não conhecem a lei do deus da terra”.
Wherefore they spake to the King of Asshur, saying, The nations which thou hast remoued, and placed in the cities of Samaria, knowe not the maner of the God of the land: therefore he hath sent lions among them, and behold, they slay them, because they knowe not the maner of the God of the land.
27 Então o rei da Assíria ordenou, dizendo: “Levai ali um dos sacerdotes que de lá trouxestes; e deixai-o ir e habitar ali, e deixai-o ensinar-lhes a lei do deus da terra”.
Then the King of Asshur commanded, saying, Carie thither one of the Priestes whome ye brought thence, and let him goe and dwell there, and teache them the maner of the God of the countrey.
28 Então um dos sacerdotes que eles haviam levado de Samaria veio e viveu em Betel, e lhes ensinou como deveriam temer a Iavé.
So one of the Priestes, which they had caryed from Samaria, came and dwelt in Beth-el, and taught them how they shoulde feare the Lord.
29 However cada nação fez seus próprios deuses e os colocou nas casas dos lugares altos que os samaritanos tinham feito, cada nação em suas cidades em que viviam.
Howbeit euery nation made their gods, and put them in the houses of the hie places, which the Samaritanes had made, euery nation in their cities, wherein they dwelt.
30 Os homens da Babilônia fizeram Succoth Benoth, e os homens de Cuth fizeram Nergal, e os homens de Hamath fizeram Ashima,
For the men of Babel made Succoth-Benoth: and the men of Cuth made Nergal, and the men of Hamath made Ashima,
31 e os Avvitas fizeram Nibhaz e Tartak; e os Sefarvitas queimaram seus filhos no fogo a Adrammelech e Anammelech, os deuses de Sefarvaim.
And the Auims made Nibhaz, and Tartak: and the Sepharuims burnt their children in the fire to Adrammelech, and Anammelech the gods of Sepharuaim.
32 Então eles temiam Yahweh, e também fizeram entre si sacerdotes dos altos lugares para si, que se sacrificaram por eles nas casas dos altos lugares.
Thus they feared the Lord, and appoynted out Priestes out of them selues for the hie places, who prepared for them sacrifices in the houses of the hie places.
33 Eles temiam a Iavé, e também serviam a seus próprios deuses, depois dos caminhos das nações das quais haviam sido transportados.
They feared the Lord, but serued their gods after the maner of the nations whome they caryed thence.
34 Até hoje, eles fazem o que faziam antes. Eles não temem a Javé, e não seguem os estatutos, ou as ordenanças, ou a lei, ou o mandamento que Javé ordenou aos filhos de Jacó, a quem deu o nome de Israel;
Vnto this day they doe after the olde maner: they neyther feare God, neyther doe after their ordinances, nor after their customes, nor after the Lawe, nor after the commandement, which the Lord commanded the children of Iaakob, whom he named Israel,
35 com quem Javé fez um pacto e os ordenou, dizendo: “Não temereis outros deuses, nem vos inclinareis diante deles, nem os servireis, nem lhes sacrificareis”;
And with whom the Lord had made a couenant, and charged them, saying, Feare none other gods, nor bowe your selues to them, nor serue them, nor sacrifice to them:
36 mas temereis a Javé, que vos tirou da terra do Egito com grande poder e com um braço estendido, e vos inclinareis diante dele, e lhe sacrificareis”.
But feare the Lord which brought you out of the land of Egypt with great power, and a stretched out arme: him feare ye, and worshippe him, and sacrifice to him.
37 Os estatutos e as ordenanças, e a lei e o mandamento que ele escreveu para vós, observareis para fazer sempre mais. Não temerás outros deuses.
Also keepe ye diligently the statutes and the ordinances, and the Lawe, and the commandement, which he wrote for you, that ye do them continually, and feare not other gods.
38 Não vos esquecereis do pacto que fiz convosco. Não temerás os outros deuses.
And forget not the couenant that I haue made with you, neither feare ye other gods,
39 Mas temerás a Javé teu Deus, e ele te livrará da mão de todos os teus inimigos”.
But feare the Lord your God, and he will deliuer you out of the handes of all your enemies.
40 Entretanto, eles não ouviram, mas fizeram o que fizeram antes.
Howbeit they obeyed not, but did after their olde custome.
41 Então estas nações temiam Yahweh, e também serviram suas imagens gravadas. Seus filhos fizeram o mesmo, assim como os filhos de seus filhos. Eles fazem como seus pais fizeram até hoje.
So these nations feared the Lord, and serued their images also: so did their children, and their childrens children: as did their fathers, so do they vnto this day.
