2 Crônicas 9
1 Quando a rainha de Sabá ouviu falar da fama de Salomão, ela veio testar Salomão com perguntas difíceis em Jerusalém, com uma caravana muito grande, incluindo camelos que carregavam especiarias, ouro em abundância e pedras preciosas. Quando veio a Salomão, falou com ele sobre tudo o que havia em seu coração.
And the queen of Saba heard [of] the name of Solomon, and she came to Jerusalem with a very large force, to prove Solomon with hard questions, and [she had] camels bearing spices in abundance, and gold, and precious stones: and she came to Solomon, and told him all that was in her mind.
2 Salomão respondeu a todas as suas perguntas. Não havia nada escondido de Salomão que ele não lhe tivesse dito.
And Solomon told her all her words; and there passed not a word from Solomon which he told her not.
3 Quando a rainha de Sabá viu a sabedoria de Salomão, a casa que ele tinha construído,
And the queen of Saba saw the wisdom of Solomon, and the house which he had built,
4 a comida de sua mesa, os assentos de seus servos, a assistência de seus ministros, suas roupas, seus carregadores de copos e suas roupas, e sua ascensão pela qual ele subiu à casa de Yahweh, não havia mais espírito nela.
and the meat of the tables, and the sitting of his servants, and the standing of his ministers, and their raiment; and his cupbearers, and their apparel; and the whole-burnt-offerings which he offered up in the house of the Lord; then she was in ecstasy.
5 Ela disse ao rei: “Foi um verdadeiro relato que ouvi em minha própria terra sobre seus atos e de sua sabedoria.
And she said to the king, [It was] a true report which I heard in my land concerning thy words, and concerning thy wisdom.
6 No entanto, não acreditei em suas palavras até que cheguei, e meus olhos o tinham visto; e eis que metade da grandeza de sua sabedoria não me foi dita. Vocês excedem a fama que eu ouvi!
Yet I believed not the reports until I came, and my eyes saw: and, behold, the half of the abundance of thy wisdom was not told me: thou hast exceeded the report which I heard.
7 Felizes são seus homens, e felizes são estes seus servos, que estão continuamente diante de você e ouvem sua sabedoria.
Blessed [are] thy men, blessed [are] these thy servants, who stand before thee continually, and hear thy wisdom.
8 Bendito seja Javé vosso Deus, que se deleitou em vós e vos colocou em seu trono para ser rei de Javé vosso Deus, porque vosso Deus amava Israel, para estabelecê-los para sempre. Portanto, ele te fez rei sobre eles, para fazer justiça e retidão”.
Blessed be the Lord thy God, who took pleasure in thee, to set thee upon his throne for a king, to the Lord thy God: forasmuch as the Lord thy God loved Israel to establish them for ever, therefore he has set thee over them for a king to execute judgment and justice.
9 Ela deu ao rei cento e vinte talentos de ouro, especiarias em grande abundância e pedras preciosas. Nunca antes existiu uma especiaria como a rainha de Sabá deu ao rei Salomão.
And she gave the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and spices in very great abundance, and precious stones: and there were not [any where else] such spices as those which the queen of Saba gave king Solomon.
10 Os criados de Huram e os criados de Salomão, que trouxeram ouro de Ophir, também trouxeram algumas árvores e pedras preciosas.
And the servants of Solomon and the servants of Chiram brought gold to Solomon out of Suphir, and pine timber, and precious stones.
11 O rei usou alguma madeira de árvore para fazer terraços para a casa de Yahweh e para a casa do rei, e harpas e instrumentos de cordas para os cantores. Não havia nenhum como estes vistos antes na terra de Judá.
And the king made of the pine timber steps to the house of the Lord, and to the king's house, and harps and lutes for the singers: and such were not seen before in the land of Juda.
12 O rei Salomão deu à rainha de Sabá todo o seu desejo, o que ela pediu, mais do que aquilo que ela havia trazido ao rei. Então ela se virou e foi para sua própria terra, ela e seus servos.
And king Solomon gave to the queen of Saba all that she requested, besides all that she brought to king Solomon: and she returned to her [own] land.
13 Agora o peso do ouro que chegou a Salomão em um ano foi seiscentos e sessenta e seis talentos de ouro,
And the weight of the gold that was brought to Solomon in one year was six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold,
14 além do que os comerciantes e negociantes trouxeram. Todos os reis da Arábia e os governadores do país trouxeram ouro e prata para Salomão.
besides what the men who were regularly appointed and the merchants brought, and all the kings of Arabia and princes of the land: all brought gold and silver to king Solomon.
15 O rei Salomão fez duzentos grandes escudos de ouro batido. Seiscentos shekels de ouro batido foram para um grande escudo.
And king Solomon made two hundred shields of beaten gold: there were six hundred [shekels] of pure gold to one shield.
16 Ele fez trezentos escudos de ouro batido. Trezentos shekels de ouro foram para um único escudo. O rei os colocou na Casa da Floresta do Líbano.
And three hundred buckles of beaten gold: [the weight] of three hundred gold shekels went to one buckler: and the king placed them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.
17 Moreover o rei fez um grande trono de marfim, e o revestiu com ouro puro.
And the king made a great throne of ivory, and he gilded it with pure gold.
18 Havia seis degraus para o trono, com um escabelo de ouro, que eram fixados ao trono, e apoios de braço em ambos os lados, junto ao lugar do assento, e dois leões de pé ao lado dos apoios de braço.
And [there were] six steps to the throne, riveted with gold, and elbows on either side of the seat of the throne, and two lions standing by the elbows:
19 Doze leões estavam ali de pé de um lado e do outro nos seis degraus. Não havia nada parecido com o que foi feito em qualquer outro reino.
and twelve lions standing there on the six steps on each side. There was not the like in any [other] kingdom.
20 Todos os vasos de bebida do rei Salomão eram de ouro, e todos os vasos da Casa da Floresta do Líbano eram de ouro puro. A prata não era considerada valiosa nos dias de Salomão.
And all king Solomon's vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were covered with gold: silver was not thought anything of in the days of Solomon.
21 Pois o rei tinha navios que iam para Tarshish com os servos de Huram. Uma vez a cada três anos, os navios de Társis vinham trazendo ouro, prata, marfim, macacos e pavões.
For a ship went for the king to Tharsis with the servants of Chiram: once every three years came vessels from Tharsis to the king, laden with gold, and silver, and ivory, and apes.
22 Portanto, o rei Salomão excedeu todos os reis da terra em riqueza e sabedoria.
And Solomon exceeded all [other] kings both in riches and wisdom.
23 Todos os reis da terra buscaram a presença de Salomão para ouvir sua sabedoria, que Deus havia colocado em seu coração.
And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.
24 Cada um deles trazia anualmente tributo: vasos de prata, vasos de ouro, roupas, armaduras, especiarias, cavalos e mulas.
And they brought every one his gifts, silver vessels and golden vessels, and raiment, myrrh and spices, horses and mules, a rate every year.
25 Salomão tinha quatro mil baias para cavalos e carruagens, e doze mil cavaleiros que ele estacionava nas cidades das carruagens e com o rei em Jerusalém.
And Solomon had four thousand mares for chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; and he put them in the chariot cities, and with the king in Jerusalem.
26 Ele governava todos os reis do rio até a terra dos filisteus, e até a fronteira do Egito.
And he rules over all the kings from the river even to the land of the Philistines, and to the borders of Egypt.
27 O rei tornou a prata tão comum em Jerusalém como as pedras, e fez os cedros tão abundantes como os sicômoros que estão nas terras baixas.
And the king made gold and silver in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars as the sycamore trees in the plain for abundance.
28 Eles trouxeram cavalos para Salomão para fora do Egito e de todas as terras.
And Solomon imported horses from Egypt, and from every [other] country.
29 Now o resto dos atos de Salomão, primeiro e último, não estão escritos na história de Natan, o profeta, e na profecia de Ahijah, o xilonita, e nas visões de Iddo, o vidente, sobre Jeroboão, o filho de Nebat?
And the rest of the acts of Solomon, the first and the last, behold, these are written in the words of Nathan the prophet, and in the words of Achia the Selonite, and in the visions of Joel the seer concerning Jeroboam the son of Nabat.
30 Salomão reinou em Jerusalém durante quarenta anos em todo Israel.
And Solomon reigned over all Israel forty years.
31 Salomão dormiu com seus pais, e foi enterrado na cidade de seu pai Davi; e Reoboão seu filho reinou em seu lugar.
And Solomon fell asleep, and they buried him in the city of David his father: and Roboam his son reigned in his stead.
