1 Timóteo 6
1 Que tantos quantos forem servos do jugo contem seus próprios senhores dignos de toda honra, para que o nome de Deus e a doutrina não sejam blasfemados.
Whosoever are servants under the yoke, let them count their masters worthy of all honour; lest the name of the Lord and his doctrine be blasphemed.
2 Aqueles que têm mestres crentes, que não os desprezem porque são irmãos, mas que os sirvam, porque aqueles que participam do benefício são crentes e amados. Ensine e exorte estas coisas.
But they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but serve them the rather, because they are faithful and beloved, who are partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.
3 Se alguém ensina uma doutrina diferente e não consente com palavras sãs, as palavras de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, e com a doutrina que está de acordo com a piedade,
If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to that doctrine which is according to godliness,
4 ele é convencido, sem saber nada, mas obcecado com argumentos, disputas e batalhas de palavras, das quais vêm inveja, contendas, insultos, más suspeitas,
He is proud, knowing nothing, but sick about questions and strifes of words; from which arise envies, contentions, blasphemies, evil suspicions,
5 constant atrito de pessoas de mentes corruptas e destituídas da verdade, que supõem que a piedade é um meio de ganho. Afaste-se de tais.
Conflicts of men corrupted in mind, and who are destitute of the truth, supposing gain to be godliness.
6 Mas a piedade com contentamento é um grande ganho.
But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 Pois não trouxemos nada ao mundo, e certamente não podemos realizar nada.
For we brought nothing into this world: and certainly we can carry nothing out.
8 Mas tendo comida e roupas, ficaremos contentes com isso.
But having food, and wherewith to be covered, with these we are content.
9 Mas aqueles que estão determinados a ser ricos caem numa tentação, numa armadilha e em muitas luxúrias tolas e prejudiciais, como afogar homens em ruína e destruição.
For they that will become rich, fall into temptation, and into the snare of the devil, and into many unprofitable and hurtful desires, which drown men into destruction and perdition.
10 Pois o amor ao dinheiro é uma raiz de todos os tipos de males. Alguns foram desviados da fé em sua ganância, e se furavam com muitas tristezas.
For the desire of money is the root of all evils; which some coveting have erred from the faith, and have entangled themselves in many sorrows.
11 Mas você, homem de Deus, foge destas coisas, e segue a justiça, a piedade, a fé, o amor, a perseverança e a mansidão.
But thou, O man of God, fly these things: and pursue justice, godliness, faith, charity, patience, mildness.
12 Lute contra a boa luta da fé. Tomai posse da vida eterna à qual fostes chamado e confessastes a boa confissão aos olhos de muitas testemunhas. (aiōnios g166)
Fight the good fight of faith: lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art called, and hast confessed a good confession before many witnesses. (aiōnios g166)
13 Eu vos ordeno diante de Deus que dá vida a todas as coisas, e diante de Cristo Jesus que diante de Pôncio Pilatos testemunhou a boa confissão,
I charge thee before God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who gave testimony under Pontius Pilate, a good confession,
14 que guardeis o mandamento sem mancha, sem culpa até o aparecimento de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo,
That thou keep the commandment without spot, blameless, unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 que no momento certo ele mostrará, quem é o bendito e único Governante, o Rei dos reis e Senhor dos senhores.
Which in his times he shall shew who is the Blessed and only Mighty, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
16 Só Ele tem a imortalidade, habitando numa luz inacessível, a quem nenhum homem viu nem pode ver, a quem é honra e poder eterno. Amém. (aiōnios g166)
Who only hath immortality, and inhabiteth light inaccessible, whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and empire everlasting. Amen. (aiōnios g166)
17 Acusar aqueles que são ricos nesta era atual de não serem arrogantes, nem terem esperança na incerteza das riquezas, mas no Deus vivo, que nos dá tudo para desfrutar; (aiōn g165)
Charge the rich of this world not to be highminded, nor to trust in the uncertainty of riches, but in the living God, (who giveth us abundantly all things to enjoy, ) (aiōn g165)
18 que façam o bem, que sejam ricos em boas obras, que estejam prontos para distribuir, dispostos a compartilhar;
To do good, to be rich in good works, to give easily, to communicate to others,
19 laying que guardem para si mesmos uma boa base contra o tempo vindouro, para que possam sustentar a vida eterna. (questioned)
To lay up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on the true life.
20 Timothy, guarde o que está comprometido com você, afastando-se das conversas vazias e oposições do que falsamente se chama conhecimento,
O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding the profane novelties of words, and oppositions of knowledge falsely so called.
21 que alguns professam, e assim se desviaram da fé. A graça esteja com você. Amém.
Which some promising, have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.
