1 Samuel 27
1 David disse em seu coração: “Agora perecerei um dia pelas mãos de Saul. Não há nada melhor para mim do que escapar para a terra dos filisteus; e Saul desesperará de mim, para me procurar mais em todas as fronteiras de Israel”. Assim escaparei de sua mão”.
And Dauid said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: is it not better for me that I saue my selfe in the lande of the Philistims, and that Saul may haue no hope of me to seeke me any more in all the coastes of Israel, and so escape out of his hand?
2 David se levantou e passou, ele e os seiscentos homens que estavam com ele, para alcançar o filho de Enoque, rei de Gate.
Dauid therefore arose, and he, and the sixe hundreth men that were with him, went vnto Achish the sonne of Maoch King of Gath.
3 Davi viveu com Aquis em Gate, ele e seus homens, cada homem com sua casa, até mesmo Davi com suas duas esposas, Ahinoam a Jezreelita e Abigail a Carmelita, esposa de Nabal.
And Dauid dwelt with Achish at Gath, he, and his men, euery man with his housholde, Dauid with his two wiues, Ahinoam the Izreelite, and Abigail Nabals wife the Carmelite.
4 Foi dito a Saul que David havia fugido para Gate, então ele parou de procurá-lo.
And it was tolde Saul that Dauid was fled to Gath: so he sought no more for him.
5 David disse para Achish: “Se agora encontrei favor em seus olhos, que me dêem um lugar em uma das cidades do país, para que eu possa morar lá. Por que seu servo deveria morar na cidade real com você”?
And Dauid saide vnto Achish, If I haue nowe founde peace in thine eyes, let them giue me a place in some other citie of the countrey, that I may dwell there: for why should thy seruant dwel in ye head citie of the kingdome with thee?
6 Então Achish lhe deu Ziklag naquele dia: portanto, Ziklag pertence aos reis de Judá até os dias de hoje.
Then Achish gaue him Ziklag that same day: therefore Ziklag pertaineth vnto the kings of Iudah vnto this day.
7 O número dos dias que Davi viveu no país dos filisteus foi de um ano e quatro meses.
And the time that Dauid dwelt in the countrey of the Philistims, was foure moneths and certaine dayes.
8 David e seus homens subiram e atacaram os geshuritas, os girzitas e os amalequitas; pois aqueles eram os habitantes da terra que eram de antigamente, a caminho de Shur, até mesmo para a terra do Egito.
Then Dauid and his men went vp, and inuaded the Geshurites, and the Girzites, and the Amalekites: for they inhabited the lande from the beginning, from the way, as thou goest to Shur, euen vnto the lande of Egypt.
9 David atacou a terra, e não salvou nenhum homem ou mulher vivos, e levou as ovelhas, o gado, os burros, os camelos e as roupas. Então ele voltou, e veio para Achish.
And Dauid smote the lande, and left neither man nor woman aliue, and tooke sheepe, and oxen, and asses, and camels, and apparell, and returned and came to Achish.
10 Achish disse: “Contra quem você fez uma incursão hoje?” David disse: “Contra o Sul de Judá, contra o Sul dos Jerahmeelitas, e contra o Sul dos Quenitas”.
And Achish said, Where haue ye bene a rouing this day? And Dauid answered, Against the South of Iudah, and against the South of the Ierahmeelites, and against the South of ye Kenites.
11 David não salvou nem homem nem mulher vivos para trazê-los a Gate, dizendo: “Para que eles não falassem de nós, dizendo: 'David fez isto, e este tem sido seu caminho todo o tempo que viveu no país dos filisteus'”.
And Dauid saued neither man nor woman aliue, to bring them to Gath, saying, Lest they should tel on vs, and say, So did Dauid, and so will be his maner all the while that he dwelleth in the countrey of the Philistims.
12 Achish acreditava em David, dizendo: “Ele fez com que seu povo Israel o abominasse totalmente”. Portanto, ele será meu servo para sempre”.
And Achish beleeued Dauid, saying, He hath made his people of Israel vtterly to abhorre him: therefore he shalbe my seruant for euer.
