1 João 1
1 aquilo que foi desde o início, aquilo que ouvimos, aquilo que vimos com nossos olhos, aquilo que vimos, e nossas mãos tocaram, a respeito da Palavra da vida
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the word of life;
2 (e a vida foi revelada, e nós vimos, e testemunhamos, e vos declaramos a vida, a vida eterna, que estava com o Pai, e foi revelada a nós); (aiōnios g166)
(For the life was manifested, and we have seen [it], and testify, and show to you that eternal life which was with the Father, and was manifested to us; ) (aiōnios g166)
3 aquilo que vimos e ouvimos, nós vos declaramos, para que também tenhais comunhão conosco. Sim, e nossa comunhão é com o Pai e com seu Filho, Jesus Cristo.
That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship [is] with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4 E nós vos escrevemos estas coisas, para que nossa alegria seja cumprida.
And these things we write to you, that your joy may be full.
5 Esta é a mensagem que ouvimos dele e anunciamos a vocês, que Deus é luz e que nele não há escuridão alguma.
This then is the message which we have heard from him, and declare to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 Se dizemos que temos comunhão com Ele e caminhamos na escuridão, mentimos e não dizemos a verdade.
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7 Mas se caminhamos na luz como Ele está na luz, temos comunhão uns com os outros, e o sangue de Jesus Cristo, seu Filho, nos limpa de todo pecado.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8 Se dizemos que não temos pecado, enganamo-nos a nós mesmos, e a verdade não está em nós.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 Se confessarmos nossos pecados, ele é fiel e justo para nos perdoar os pecados e para nos purificar de toda injustiça.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 Se dizemos que não pecamos, fazemos dele um mentiroso, e sua palavra não está em nós.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
