1 Os filhos de Rúben, o primogênito de Israel (pois ele foi o primogênito, mas por ter sujado o sofá de seu pai, seu direito de nascimento foi dado aos filhos de José, o filho de Israel; e a genealogia não deve ser listada de acordo com o direito de nascimento.
And the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, for, he, was the firstborn, but because he defiled the couch of his father, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph son of Israel, —and he is not to be enrolled in the place of firstborn,
2 Pois Judá prevaleceu sobre seus irmãos, e dele veio o príncipe; mas o direito de nascimento era de José)-
for, Judah, prevailed over his brethren, so that, even the prince, is from him, —although, the birthright, pertaineth to Joseph;
3 os filhos de Rúben, o primogênito de Israel: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, e Carmi.
the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, Hanoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi.
4 os filhos de Joel: Semaías seu filho, Gogue seu filho, Shimei seu filho,
The sons of Joel, Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son;
5 Mica seu filho, Reaías seu filho, Baal seu filho,
Micah his son, Reaiah his son, Baal his son;
6 e Beerah seu filho, que Tilgath Pilneser, rei da Assíria, levou cativo. Ele era príncipe dos rubenitas.
Beerah his son, whom Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria carried away captive, —he, was a leader to the Reubenites;
7 His irmãos por suas famílias, quando a genealogia de suas gerações foi listada: o chefe, Jeiel e Zacarias,
and his brethren, by his families, in the genealogical registering, by their generations, —the chief Jeiel, and Zechariah;
8 e Bela o filho de Azaz, o filho de Shema, o filho de Joel, que viveu em Aroer, até Nebo e Baal Meon;
and Bela, the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, —he, dwelt in Aroer, even as far as Nebo, and Baal-meon;
9 e ele viveu no leste até a entrada do deserto do rio Eufrates, porque seu gado foi multiplicado na terra de Gilead.
and, eastward, dwelt he as far as the entering in of the desert, from the river Euphrates, —because, their cattle, were multiplied in the land of Gilead;
10 Nos dias de Saul, eles fizeram guerra com os Hagrites, que caíram pelas mãos deles; e eles viveram em suas tendas por toda a terra a leste de Gilead.
and, in the days of Saul, they made war with the Hagrites, who fell by their hand, —so they dwelt in their tents, over all the face of the land east of Gilead.
11 Os filhos de Gad viviam ao lado deles na terra de Bashan a Salecah:
And, the sons of Gad, over against them, dwelt, in the land of Bashan, as far as Salecah:
12 Joel o chefe, Shapham o segundo, Janai, e Shaphat em Bashan.
Joel the chief, and Shapham, the second, —and Janai and Shaphat, in Bashan;
13 Their irmãos das casas de seus pais: Michael, Meshullam, Sheba, Jorai, Jacan, Zia, e Eber, sete.
and their brethren of their ancestral house, Michael and Meshullam and Sheba and Jorai and Jacan and Zia and Eber, seven.
14 Estes eram os filhos de Abihail, o filho de Huri, o filho de Jaroah, o filho de Gilead, o filho de Michael, o filho de Jeshishai, o filho de Jahdo, o filho de Buz;
These, were the sons of Abihail, son of Huri, son of Jaroah, son of Gilead, son of Michael, son of Jehishai, son of Jahdo, son of Buz,
15 Ahi o filho de Abdiel, o filho de Guni, chefe das casas de seus pais.
Ahi son of Abdiel, son of Guni, chief of their ancestral house;
16 Eles viveram em Gilead em Bashan e em suas cidades, e em todas as terras de pasto de Sharon até suas fronteiras.
and they dwelt in Gilead—in Bashan, and in her villages, —and in all the pasture-lands of Sharon, up to their outgoings.
17 Todas elas foram listadas por genealogias nos dias de Jotham, rei de Judá, e nos dias de Jeroboão, rei de Israel.
All of them, were genealogically registered in the days of Jotham king of Judah, —and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
18 Os filhos de Ruben, os gaditas, e a meia tribo de Manasseh, de homens valentes, homens capazes de carregar bala e espada, capazes de atirar com arco, e hábeis na guerra, foram quarenta e quatro mil setecentos e sessenta que foram capazes de sair para a guerra.
the sons of Reuben and Gad, and half tribe of Manasseh, of the sons of valour, men bearing shield and sword and bending the bow, and instructed in war, were forty-four thousand and seven hundred and sixty, ready to go forth in the host.
19 Eles fizeram guerra com os Hagrites, com Jetur, e Naphish, e Nodab.
So they made war with the Hagrites, —and Jetur and Naphish, and Nodab;
20 Eles foram ajudados contra eles, e os Hagrites foram entregues em suas mãos, e todos os que estavam com eles; pois clamaram a Deus na batalha, e Ele lhes respondeu, porque eles depositaram sua confiança nEle.
and were helped against them, and the Hagrites and all that were with them were delivered into their hand, —for, unto God, made they outcry, in the war, and he suffered himself to be entreated by them, because they put their trust in him;
21 Levaram seu gado: de seus camelos cinqüenta mil, e de ovelhas duzentos e cinqüenta mil, e de burros dois mil, e de homens cem mil.
and they captured their cattle—their camels, fifty thousand, and, flocks, two hundred and fifty thousand, and, asses, two thousand, —and, persons of men, a hundred thousand;
22 Para muitos, a guerra foi de Deus, porque a guerra foi de Deus. Eles viveram em seu lugar até o cativeiro.
for, many slain, fell, for, of God, was the war, —and they dwelt in their stead, until the captivity.
23 As crianças da meia tribo de Manasseh viviam na terra. Eles aumentaram de Bashan para Baal Hermon, Senir e Mount Hermon.
And, the sons of the half tribe of Manasseh, dwelt in the land, —from Bashan, as far as to Baal-hermon and Senir and Mount Hermon, they, were multiplied.
24 Estes eram os chefes das casas de seus pais: Epher, Ishi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremias, Hodaviah e Jahdiel - homens de valor, homens famosos, chefes das casas de seus pais.
And, these, were the heads of their ancestral house, —Epher and Ishi and Eliel and Azriel and Jeremiah and Hodaviah and Jahdiel, men who were heroes of valour, men of renown, chiefs to their ancestral house.
25 Eles transgrediram o Deus de seus pais e se prostituíram após os deuses dos povos da terra que Deus destruiu antes deles.
But they dealt unfaithfully with the God of their fathers, —and went unchastely after the gods of the peoples of the land, whom God destroyed from before them;
26 Então o Deus de Israel despertou o espírito de Pul, rei da Assíria, e o espírito de Tilgath Pilneser, rei da Assíria, e levou os rubenitas, os gaditas e a meia tribo de Manassés, e os trouxe para Halah, Habor, Hara e para o rio de Gozan, até os dias de hoje.
so the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria, and he took them away captive, even the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half tribe of Manasseh, —and brought them in unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river of Gozan, unto this day.
