Apocalipse 1
1 Neste livro se encontram os fatos que Jesus Cristo revelou e que Deus lhe deu para que mostrasse aos seus servos o que vai acontecer logo. Jesus enviou o seu anjo para revelar essas coisas para o seu servo João,
Jesus Christ's revelation, which God gave Him to show to His slaves—things that must occur shortly. And He communicated it, sending it by His angel to His slave John,
2 que confirmou tudo o que viu em relação à mensagem de Deus e à verdade, anunciada por Jesus Cristo.
who gave witness to the word of God, even the testimony of Jesus Christ—the things that He saw, both things that are and those that must happen after these.
3 Qualquer pessoa que ler esse livro é abençoada, assim também como aqueles que ouvem as palavras desta profecia e prestam atenção ao que nela está escrito, pois o tempo está próximo.
Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things that are written in it; because the time is near.
4 Esta carta é escrita por João e é enviada para as sete igrejas na província da Ásia. Que vocês possam ter a graça e a paz daquele que era, que é, e que há de vir, e dos sete Espíritos que estão diante do seu trono,
John, to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace and peace to you from Him who is and who was and who is coming, and from the sevenfold Spirit who is before His throne,
5 e de Jesus Cristo, a testemunha fiel, o mais importante filho ressuscitado dos mortos, o governante dos reinos de todo o mundo. Ele nos ama e nos libertou dos nossos pecados, por meio do seu sangue,
and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn from among the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins with His own blood
6 e que nos tornou sacerdotes em seu Reino, para servirmos ao seu Deus e Pai. A Jesus sejam dadas a glória e a autoridade, para todo o sempre! Amém! (aiōn g165)
—indeed, He made us a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
7 Vejam! Ele vem cercado por nuvens, e todos irão vê-lo, mesmo aqueles que o atravessaram com a lança. Todas as pessoas da terra irão chorar por causa dele. Que assim seja! Amém!
Take note, He comes with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, including those who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will beat their breasts [in dismay] because of Him. Yea, verily!
8 “Eu sou o Começo e o Fim”, diz o Senhor Deus, o Todo-Poderoso, aquele que era, que é, e que há de vir.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “He who is and who was and who is coming, The Almighty.”
9 Eu sou João, o seu irmão que compartilha com vocês o sofrimento, o Reino e a espera paciente, que fazem parte da nossa experiência em Jesus. Eu estava preso na ilha de Patmos, por anunciar a mensagem de Deus e a verdade como foi revelada por Jesus.
I, John, your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and endurance in Christ Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the Word of God and on account of the testimony of Jesus Christ.
10 No dia do Senhor, eu fui tomado pelo Espírito e ouvi uma voz forte atrás de mim, que parecia o som de uma trombeta.
I was in spirit on the Lord's day and I heard a voice behind me, loud as a trumpet,
11 Ela me disse: “Escreva em um livro o que você vê e envie-o às sete igrejas: Éfeso, Esmirna, Pérgamo, Tiatira, Sardes, Filadélfia e Laodiceia.”
saying, “Write what you see in a book and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.”
12 Eu me virei para ver quem estava falando comigo. Quando me virei, vi sete candelabros de ouro
And there I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands,
13 e, entre eles, havia alguém que se parecia com um Filho do homem. Ele vestia um manto que chegava aos seus pés, com uma faixa dourada ao redor do seu peito.
and in the midst of the seven lampstands one similar to a son of man, clothed down to the feet and girded at the nipples with a golden belt.
14 O seu cabelo parecia lã branca e os seus olhos brilhavam como o fogo.
Now His head, that is His hair, was white, like wool, as white as snow; and His eyes were like a flame of fire;
15 Os seus pés cintilavam como bronze refinado em uma fornalha e depois polido. A sua voz lembrava o barulho que faz uma grande cachoeira.
and His feet were like fine brass, as when refined in a furnace; and His voice was like the sound of many waters;
16 Ele segurava sete estrelas em sua mão direita, e de sua boca saía uma afiada espada de corte duplo. O seu rosto brilhava como o sol em toda a sua glória.
and He had seven stars on His right hand and a sharp two-edged sword coming out of His mouth; and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.
17 Quando o vi, caí aos seus pés, como se tivesse morrido. Mas, ele me tocou com a sua mão direita e disse: “Não tenha medo, eu sou o primeiro e o último,
And when I saw Him I fell at His feet as if dead. And He placed His right hand upon me saying: “Do not fear. I am the First and the Last,
19 Então, escreva o que você viu, tanto o que está acontecendo no presente quanto o que acontecerá no futuro.
Therefore write the things that you have seen, and the things that are, and the things that are going to occur after these.
20 As sete estrelas que você viu em minha mão direita significam os anjos das sete igrejas. Já os sete candelabros significam as sete igrejas.”
The mystery of the seven stars which you saw upon my right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: the seven stars are the messengers of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands that you saw are seven churches.
