Hebreus 1
1 Deus, que no passado falou várias vezes e de várias maneiras com os nossos antepassados, por meio dos profetas,
God, who, of old, at many times and in many ways, spoke to our ancestors, by the prophets,
2 nestes últimos dias, tem falado conosco por meio do seu Filho. Deus escolheu o Filho para ser o herdeiro de tudo o que existe e fez o universo por meio dele. (aiōn g165)
has in these latter days spoken to us by the Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. (aiōn g165)
3 O Filho é a glória radiante de Deus e a expressão exata do seu verdadeiro caráter. Ele sustenta tudo por sua palavra poderosa. Depois que ele purificou os homens dos seus pecados, sentou-se à direita de Deus, a Majestade, no céu.
For he is the radiance of the glory of God and the expression of his being, upholding all creation by the power of his word; and, when he had made an expiation for the sins of humanity, he took his seat at the right hand of God’s Majesty on high,
4 Ele foi colocado em uma posição muito acima daquela dos anjos, pois recebeu um nome ainda mais importante do que o deles.
having shown himself as much greater than the angels as the name that he has inherited surpasses theirs.
5 Deus nunca disse a qualquer anjo: “Você é o meu Filho e hoje eu me tornei o seu Pai” ou: “Eu serei um Pai para ele, e ele será um Filho para mim.”
For to which of the angels did God ever say – “You are my Son; this day I have become your Father”? or again – “I will be to him a Father, and he will be to me a Son”?
6 Além disso, quando enviou ao mundo o seu Filho Primogênito, ele disse: “Que todos os anjos de Deus o adorem.”
And again, when God brought the firstborn into the world, he said – “Let all the angels of God bow down before him.”
7 Em relação aos anjos é dito: “Deus faz com que seus anjos se tornem ventos e os seus servos, chamas de fogo.”
Speaking of the angels, he said – “He makes the winds his angels and the flames of fire his servants”;
8 Porém, em relação ao Filho, ele diz: “O seu trono, ó Deus, dura para todo o sempre e, em seu Reino, a justiça é o cetro que representa o seu poder. (aiōn g165)
while of the Son he said – “God is your throne for ever and ever; the sceptre of his kingdom is the sceptre of Justice; (aiōn g165)
9 Você ama o que é justo e odeia a injustiça. E é por isso que Deus, o seu Deus, colocou você acima de qualquer outro, ao ungi-lo com o azeite da alegria.”
You love righteousness and hates iniquity; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the festal oil more abundantly than your peers.”
10 “Senhor, no início você criou a terra. Os céus são produto de suas mãos.
Again – “You, Lord, in the beginning did lay the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.
11 Eles chegarão a um fim, mas você permanecerá para sempre. Eles vão se desgastar exatamente como acontece com as roupas,
They will perish, but you remain; as a garment they will all grow old;
12 e você irá dobrá-los como a uma capa. Como as roupas, eles serão trocados, mas você é sempre o mesmo, e a sua vida não tem fim.”
As a mantle you will fold them up, and as a garment they will be changed, but you are the same, and your years will know no end.”
13 Mas, ele nunca disse isso a um anjo: “Sente-se a minha direita, até que eu coloque os seus inimigos submissos aos seus pés.”
To which of the angels has God ever said – “Sit you at my right hand until I put your enemies as a stool for your feet”?
14 O que são os anjos? Eles são seres que servem, enviados para ajudar aqueles que receberão a salvação.
Are not all the angels spirits in the service of God, sent out to minister for the sake of those who are destined to obtain salvation?
