Zacarias 8
1 Depois veio a palavra do SENHOR dos exércitos, dizendo:
And the word of Jehovah of hosts came to me, saying,
2 Assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: Tenho grande zelo por Sião, e com grande furor zelo por ela.
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: I have been jealous for Zion with great jealousy, And with great wrath have I been jealous for her.
3 Assim diz o SENHOR: Eu voltarei a Sião, e habitarei no meio de Jerusalém. E Jerusalém será chamada Cidade da Verdade, e o monte do SENHOR dos exércitos, Monte Santo.
Thus saith Jehovah: I have returned to Zion, And I will dwell in Jerusalem; And Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth, And the mountain of Jehovah of hosts the holy mountain.
4 Assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: Novamente idosos e idosas se sentarão nas praças de Jerusalém, e cada um terá seu bordão em sua mão, por causa da abundância de dias.
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: There shall yet old men and old women dwell In the streets of Jerusalem, Every one with his staff in his hand for great age.
5 E as ruas da cidade se encherão de meninos e meninas, brincando em suas ruas.
And the streets of the city shall be full Of boys and girls playing in her streets.
6 Assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: Se isto era extraordinário demais aos olhos do restante do povo naqueles dias, seria também extraordinário demais aos meus olhos? Diz o SENHOR dos exércitos.
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: If it be difficult in the eyes Of the residue of this people in these days, Is it therefore difficult in my eyes, Saith Jehovah of hosts?
7 Assim disse o SENHOR dos exércitos: Eis que salvarei o meu povo da terra do oriente, e da terra do ocidente.
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Behold, I will save my people From the land of the rising, and from the land of the setting sun.
8 Eu os trarei, e habitarão no meio de Jerusalém; e eles serão meu povo, e eu serei o Deus deles em verdade e em justiça.
And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in Jerusalem; And they shall be my people, And I will be their God, In truth and in righteousness.
9 Assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: Sejam fortes vossas mãos, vós que nestes dias ouvistes estas palavras da boca dos profetas que estiveram no dia em que foi posto o fundamento da casa do SENHOR dos exércitos, para que o templo fosse edificado.
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Let your hands be strong, Ye that hear in these days These words by the mouth of the prophets, Who were in the day when the foundation of the house of Jehovah of hosts was laid, The temple, that it might be built.
10 Porque antes daqueles dias não houve salário para homem, nem salário para animal, e o que entrava e o que saía não tinha paz por causa do inimigo, porque eu mandei a todos, cada um contra seu próximo.
For before these days There was no recompense for men, Nor was there any recompense for beasts; Nor to him that went out, nor to him that came in, was there security from the enemy; For I set all men one against another.
11 Mas agora com o resto deste povo não farei como nos dias passados, diz o SENHOR dos exércitos.
But now I will not be as in former days Toward the residue of this people, Saith Jehovah of hosts.
12 Porque a semente será próspera, a vide dará seu fruto, a terra dará seu produto, e os céus darão seu orvalho; e farei o resto deste povo herdar tudo isto.
For the seed shall be prosperous; The vine shall yield its fruit, And the earth shall yield her increase, And the heavens shall yield their dew; And I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these.
13 E será, ó casa de Judá e casa de Israel, que, assim como fostes maldição entre as nações, assim também eu vos salvarei, e sereis bênção. Não temais, fortaleçam-se vossas mãos.
And it shall be, that as ye were a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, So will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing. Fear not; let your hands be strong!
14 Porque assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: Assim como eu pensei vos fazer o mal quando vossos pais me provocaram à ira, diz o SENHOR dos exércitos, e não me arrependi;
For thus saith Jehovah of hosts: As I thought to do you evil, When your fathers provoked me to anger, Saith Jehovah of hosts, And I repented not,
15 Assim também voltei a pensar em fazer o bem a Jerusalém e à casa de Judá nestes dias; não temais.
So have I again thought in these days To do good to Jerusalem, And to the house of Judah. Fear ye not!
16 Estas são as coisas que deveis fazer: falai verdade cada qual com seu próximo; julgai em vossas portas verdade e juízo de paz:
These are the things which ye shall do: Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbor; Judge according to truth, and for peace in your gates;
17 E ninguém planeje o mal em seu coração contra seu próximo, nem ameis o juramento falso; porque eu odeio todas estas coisas, diz o SENHOR
And meditate not evil against one another in your hearts, And love not a false oath! For all these are things which I hate, saith Jehovah.
18 E a palavra do SENHOR dos exércitos veio a mim, dizendo:
And the word of Jehovah of hosts came to me, saying,
19 Assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: O jejum do quarto, do quinto, do sétimo, e do décimo mês, se voltarão à casa de Judá serão para prazer e alegria, e para festividades solenes. Amai, pois, a verdade e a paz.
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth month, And the fast of the seventh month, and the fast of the tenth month, Shall be to the house of Judah for joy and gladness, And cheerful festivals. But love ye truth and peace!
20 Assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: Ainda será que povos e moradores de muitas cidades virão,
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: It shall yet come to pass, that many nations shall come, And the inhabitants of many cities;
21 E irão os moradores de uma [cidade] à outra, dizendo: Vamos suplicar o favor do SENHOR, e buscar ao SENHOR dos exércitos. Eu também irei.
And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, “Let us go speedily to pray before Jehovah, And to seek Jehovah of hosts! I will go also!”
22 Assim muitos povos e poderosas nações virão para buscar ao SENHOR dos exércitos em Jerusalém, e suplicar o favor do SENHOR.
Then shall come many nations and mighty kingdoms, To seek Jehovah of hosts in Jerusalem, And to pray before Jehovah.
23 Assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: Naqueles dias será que dez homens de todas as línguas das nações, pegarão na orla da veste de um judeu, dizendo: Iremos convosco, porque temos ouvido que Deus está convosco.
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: In those days shall ten men of all languages of the nations take hold, They shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, Saying, “We will go with you, For we have heard that God is with you.”
