Zacarias 11

1 Abre tuas portas, ó Líbano, para que o fogo consuma teus cedros.

Open thy doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour thy cedars.

2 Lamenta, ó cipreste, porque o cedro caiu, porque os maiorais foram destruídos. Lamentai, ó carvalhos de Basã, porque o forte bosque foi derrubado.

Howl, fir tree; for the cedar is fallen; because the mighty are spoiled: howl, O ye oaks of Bashan; for the forest of the vintage is come down.

3 [Ouve-se] voz de lamentação de pastores, porque sua glória foi destruída; [ouve-se] voz dos bramidos de leões jovens, porque a arrogância do Jordão foi destruída.

[There is] a voice of the howling of the shepherds; for their glory is spoiled: a voice of the roaring of young lions; for the pride of Jordan is spoiled.

4 Assim diz o SENHOR meu Deus: Apascenta as ovelhas da matança,

Thus saith the LORD my God; Feed the flock of the slaughter;

5 Cujos compradores as matam, e ninguém os considera culpados; e os que as vendem dizem: Bendito seja o SENHOR, porque estou rico; nem seus pastores se compadecem delas.

Whose possessors slay them, and hold themselves not guilty: and they that sell them say, Blessed [be] the LORD; for I am rich: and their own shepherds pity them not.

6 Certamente não mais pouparei os moradores da terra, diz o SENHOR; mas eis que eu entregarei os homens, cada um na mão de seu próximo, e em mão de seu rei; e despedaçarão esta terra, e eu não [os] livrarei de suas mãos.

For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD: but, lo, I will deliver the men every one into his neighbour’s hand, and into the hand of his king: and they shall smite the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver [them].

7 Então eu apascentei as ovelhas da matança, as pobres do rebanho. E tomei para mim duas varas; a uma chamei Agrado e à outra chamei União; e apascentei as ovelhas.

And I will feed the flock of slaughter, [even] you, O poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staves; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands; and I fed the flock.

8 E acabei com três pastores em um mês, pois minha alma estava impaciente com eles, e também a almas deles me odiavam.

Three shepherds also I cut off in one month; and my soul lothed them, and their soul also abhorred me.

9 E eu disse: Não vos apascentarei; a que morrer, morra; e a que se perder, se perca; e as que restarem, que uma devore a carne da outra.

Then said I, I will not feed you: that that dieth, let it die; and that that is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let the rest eat every one the flesh of another.

10 E peguei minha vara Agrado, e a quebrei, para desfazer meu pacto que tinha estabelecido com todos os povos.

And I took my staff, [even] Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people.

11 Assim foi desfeito naquele dia, e assim as pobres do rebanho que me observavam reconheceram que isto era palavra do SENHOR.

And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it [was] the word of the LORD.

12 Pois eu havia lhes dito: Se vos parece bem aos vossos olhos, dai-me meu salário; e se não, deixai-o. E pesaram meu salário: trinta [moedas] de prata.

And I said unto them, If ye think good, give [me] my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty [pieces] of silver.

13 O SENHOR, pois, me disse: Lança-as ao oleiro, este belo preço que me avaliaram. E tomei as trinta [moedas] de prata, e as lancei na casa do SENHOR ao oleiro.

And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty [pieces] of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD.

14 Então quebrei logo minha segunda vara União, rompendo a fraternidade entre Judá e Israel.

Then I cut asunder mine other staff, [even] Bands, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.

15 E o SENHOR me disse mais: Toma ainda para ti os instrumentos de um pastor insensato;

And the LORD said unto me, Take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd.

16 Porque eis que eu levantarei um pastor na terra, que não cuidará das perdidas, não buscará a pequena, não tratará de curar a que estiver machucada, nem apascentará a sã; em vez disso, ele comerá a carne da que estiver gorda, e quebrará suas unhas.

For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, [which] shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces.

17 Ai do pastor inútil, que desampara o rebanho! Espada [virá] contra seu braço, e contra seu olho direito; seu braço se secará por completo, e seu olho direito será obscurecido.

Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword [shall be] upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.
