Zacarias 1

1 No oitavo mês do segundo ano de Dario, a palavra do SENHOR veio ao profeta Zacarias, filho de Berequias, filho de Ido, dizendo:

In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, hath a word of Jehovah been unto Zechariah, son of Berechiah, son of Iddo, the prophet, saying:

2 O SENHOR se irou muito contra vossos pais.

'Jehovah was wroth against your fathers — wrath!

3 Portanto dize-lhes: Assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: Voltai-vos a mim, diz o SENHOR dos exércitos, e eu me voltarei a vós, diz o SENHOR dos exércitos.

And thou hast said unto them, Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, turn back unto Me, An affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts, And I turn back unto you, said Jehovah of Hosts.

4 E não sejais como vossos pais, aos quais os profetas antigos clamavam, dizendo: Assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: Convertei-vos de vossos maus caminhos e de vossos maus atos; porém não escutaram, nem me deram ouvidos, diz o SENHOR.

Ye shall not be as your fathers, To whom the former prophets called, saying: Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, Turn back I pray you, From your evil ways and from your evil doings, And they did not hearken, Nor attend to Me — an affirmation of Jehovah.

5 Onde estão vossos pais? E os profetas, vivem eles para sempre?

Your fathers — where [are] they? And the prophets — to the age do they live?

6 Porém quanto às minhas palavras e meus estatutos que havia mandado a meus servos os profetas, não alcançaram a vossos pais? Assim eles, arrependendo-se, diziam: Tal como o SENHOR dos exércitos planejou fazer segundo nossos caminhos e nossos antos, assim ele fez conosco.

Only, My words, and My statutes, That I commanded My servants the prophets, Have they not overtaken your fathers, And they turn back and say: As Jehovah of Hosts designed to do to us, According to our ways, and according to our doings, So He hath done to us?'

7 No vigésimo quarto dia do décimo primeiro mês (que é o mês de Sebate), no ano segundo de Dario, a palavra do SENHOR veio ao profeta Zacarias, filho de Berequias, filho de Ido, dizendo:

On the twenty and fourth day of the eleventh month, (it [is] the month of Sebat, ) in the second year of Darius, hath a word of Jehovah been unto Zechariah, son of Berechiah, son of Iddo, the prophet, saying:

8 Vi de noite, e eis um homem montado sobre um cavalo vermelho, parado entre as murtas que estavam num vale profundo; e atrás dele estavam cavalos vermelhos, castanhos, e brancos.

I have seen by night, and lo, one riding on a red horse, and he is standing between the myrtles that [are] in the shade, and behind him [are] horses, red, bay, and white.

9 E eu disse: Meu senhor, o que são estes? E o anjo que falava comigo me disse: Eu te mostrarei o que estes são.

And I say, 'What [are] these, my lord?' And the messenger who is speaking with me saith unto me, 'I — I do shew thee what these [are].'

10 Então o homem que estava entre os murtas respondeu, dizendo: Estes são os que o SENHOR enviou para andarem pela terra.

And the one who is standing between the myrtles doth answer and say, 'These [are] they whom Jehovah hath sent to walk up and down in the land.'

11 E eles responderam ao anjo do SENHOR que estava entre os murtas, e disseram: Nós já andamos pela terra, e eis que toda a terra está tranquila e quieta.

And they answer the messenger of Jehovah who is standing between the myrtles, and say, 'We have walked up and down in the land, and lo, all the land is sitting still, and at rest.'

12 Então o anjo do SENHOR disse: Ó SENHOR dos exércitos, até quando não terás compaixão de Jerusalém e das cidades de Judá, contra as quais ficaste irado estes setenta anos?

And the messenger of Jehovah answereth and saith, 'Jehovah of Hosts! till when dost Thou not pity Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, that Thou hast abhorred these seventy years?'

13 E o SENHOR respondeu ao anjo que falava comigo palavras boas, palavras de consolo.

And Jehovah answereth the messenger, who is speaking with me, good words, comfortable words.

14 E o anjo que falava comigo me disse: Fala em voz alta, dizendo: Assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: Tenho grande zelo por Jerusalém e por Sião;

And the messenger who is speaking with me, saith unto me, 'Call, saying: Thus said Jehovah of Hosts: I have been zealous for Jerusalem, and for Zion [with] great zeal.

15 E tenho muito grande ira contra as nações tranquilas; porque eu estava pouco irado, porém elas pioraram o mal.

And [with] great wrath I am wroth against the nations who are at ease, For I was a little wroth, and they assisted — for evil.

16 Portanto assim diz o SENHOR: Eu me voltarei a Jerusalém com misericórdia; minha casa será reconstruída nela, diz o SENHOR dos exércitos, e a corda de medir será estendida sobre Jerusalém.

Therefore, thus said Jehovah: I have turned to Jerusalem with mercies, My house is built in it, An affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts, And a line is stretched over Jerusalem.

17 Fala em voz alta mais, dizendo: Assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: Minhas cidades novamente transbordarão de prosperidade; porque o SENHOR novamente consolará a Sião, e novamente escolherá a Jerusalém.

Again call, saying: Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, Again do my cities overflow from good, And Jehovah hath again comforted Zion, And He hath fixed again on Jerusalem.'

18 Depois levantei meus olhos, e olhei, e eis que havia quatro chifres.

And I lift up mine eyes, and look, and lo, four horns.

19 E perguntei ao anjo que falava comigo: O que são estes? E ele me disse: Estes são os chifres que dissiparam Judá, a Israel, e Jerusalém.

And I say unto the messenger who is speaking with me, 'What [are] these?' And he saith unto me, 'These [are] the horns that have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.'

20 E o SENHOR me mostrou quatro ferreiros.

And Jehovah doth shew me four artisans.

21 Então eu disse: O que estes vêm a fazer? E ele falou, dizendo: Estes são os chifres que dispersaram Judá, de modo que ninguém levantava sua cabeça. Estes [ferreiros] vieram para derrubar os chifres das nações, que levantaram [seus] chifres contra a terra de Judá para dispersá-la.

And I say, 'What [are] these coming in to do?' And He speaketh, saying: 'These [are] the horns that have scattered Judah, so that no one hath lifted up his head, and these come in to trouble them, to cast down the horns of the nations who are lifting up a horn against the land of Judah — to scatter it.'
