Apocalipse 13
1 E eu fiquei parado sobre a areia do mar. E vi subir do mar uma besta, que tinha sete cabeças e dez chifres, e sobre seus chifres dez diademas; e sobre suas cabeças um nome de blasfêmia.
And I stood upon the sand of the sea; and I saw a beast rising out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and upon its horns ten diadems, and upon its heads names of blasphemy.
2 E a besta que eu vi era semelhante a um leopardo, e seus pés como de urso, e sua boca como boca de leão; e o dragão lhe deu seu poder, e seu trono, e grande autoridade.
And the beast which I saw was like to a leopardess, and its feet as of a bear, and its mouth as a lion's mouth; and the dragon gave to it his power, and his throne, and great authority;
3 E eu vi uma de suas cabeças como ferida de morte, e sua ferida mortal foi curada; e toda a terra se admirou e seguiu a besta.
and one of his heads [was] as slain to death, and his wound of death had been healed: and the whole earth wondered after the beast.
4 E adoraram ao dragão, ao qual tinha dado poder à besta; e [também] adoraram à besta, dizendo: “Quem [é] semelhante à besta? Quem pode batalhar contra ela?”
And they did homage to the dragon, because he gave the authority to the beast; and they did homage to the beast, saying, Who [is] like to the beast? and who can make war with it?
5 E foi-lhe dada um boca que falava grandes coisas e blasfêmias; também foi-lhe dada autoridade para agir por quarenta e dois meses.
And there was given to it a mouth, speaking great things and blasphemies; and there was given to it authority to pursue its career forty-two months.
6 E ela abriu sua boca em blasfêmia contra Deus, para blasfemar do nome dele, e do tabernáculo dele, e daqueles que habitam no céu.
And it opened its mouth for blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name and his tabernacle, and those who have their tabernacle in the heaven.
7 E foi-lhe concedido fazer guerra aos santos, e os vencer; e foi-lhe dada autoridade sobre toda tribo, língua, e nação.
And there was given to it to make war with the saints, and to overcome them; and there was given to it authority over every tribe, and people, and tongue, and nation;
8 E todos os que habitam sobre a terra a adorarão, o nomes dos quais não estão escritos no livro da vida do Cordeiro, que foi morto desde a fundação do mundo.
and all that dwell on the earth shall do it homage, [every one] whose name had not been written from [the] founding of [the] world in the book of life of the slain Lamb.
9 Se alguém tem ouvido, ouça:
If any one has an ear, let him hear.
10 “Se alguém leva em cativeiro, em cativeiro irá; se alguém matar à espada, é necessário que à espada ele seja morto.” Aqui está a paciência e a fé dos santos.
If any one [leads] into captivity, he goes into captivity. If any one shall kill with [the] sword, he must with [the] sword be killed. Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints.
11 E eu vi outra besta subindo da terra, e tinha dois chifres semelhantes aos de um cordeiro; e ela falava como um dragão.
And I saw another beast rising out of the earth; and it had two horns like to a lamb, and spake as a dragon;
12 E ela exercita todo o poder da primeira besta em sua presença; e faz que a terra e os que nela habitam, adorem à primeira besta, cuja ferida mortal havia sido curada.
and it exercises all the authority of the first beast before it, and causes the earth and those that dwell in it to do homage to the first beast, whose wound of death was healed.
13 E ela faz grandes sinais, de maneira que faz até fogo descer do céu à terra, diante dos seres humanos.
And it works great signs, that it should cause even fire to come down from heaven to the earth before men.
14 E engana aos que habitam na terra por meio de sinais, que lhe foram concedidos fazer na presença da besta; dizendo aos que habitam na terra para fazerem uma imagem para a besta que tinha [recebido] a ferida da espada, e sobreviveu.
And it deceives those that dwell upon the earth by reason of the signs which it was given to it to work before the beast, saying to those that dwell upon the earth to make an image to the beast, which has the wound of the sword, and lived.
15 E foi-lhe concedido dar espírito à imagem da besta, para que a imagem da besta também falasse, e fizesse que todos os que não adorassem à imagem da besta fossem mortos.
And it was given to it to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should also speak, and should cause that as many as should not do homage to the image of the beast should be killed.
16 E fez com que todos, os pequenos e os grandes, os ricos e os pobres, os livres e os escravos, fosse lhes dada uma marca sobre sua mão direita ou sobre suas testas.
And it causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bondmen, that they should give them a mark upon their right hand or upon their forehead;
17 E que ninguém possa comprar ou vender, a não ser aquele que tenha a marca ou o nome da besta, ou o número do nome dela.
and that no one should be able to buy or sell save he that had the mark, the name of the beast, or the number of its name.
18 Aqui está a sabedoria: aquele que tem entendimento, calcule o número da besta, porque é número humano; e seu número é seiscentos e sessenta e seis.
Here is wisdom. He that has understanding let him count the number of the beast: for it is a man's number; and its number [is] six hundred [and] sixty-six.
