Salmos 83
1 Cântico e Salmo de Asafe: Deus, não fiques em silêncio; não estejas indiferente, nem fiques quieto, ó Deus.
A Song, — A Psalm of Asaph. O God, let there be no silence to Thee, Be not silent, nor be quiet, O God.
2 Porque eis que teus inimigos fazem barulho, e aqueles que te odeiam levantam a cabeça.
For, lo, Thine enemies do roar, And those hating Thee have lifted up the head,
3 Planejam astutos conselhos contra teu povo, e se reúnem para tramar contra teus preciosos.
Against Thy people they take crafty counsel, And consult against Thy hidden ones.
4 Eles disseram: Vinde, e os destruamos, para que não sejam mais um povo, e nunca mais seja lembrado o nome de Israel.
They have said, 'Come, And we cut them off from [being] a nation, And the name of Israel is not remembered any more.'
5 Porque tomaram conselhos com uma só intenção; fizeram aliança contra ti:
For they consulted in heart together, Against Thee a covenant they make,
6 As tendas de Edom, e dos ismaelitas, de Moabe, e dos agarenos;
Tents of Edom, and Ishmaelites, Moab, and the Hagarenes,
7 De Gebal, e de Amom, e de Amaleque; dos filisteus, com os moradores de Tiro.
Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek, Philistia with inhabitants of Tyre,
8 A Assíria também se aliou a eles; eles foram a força dos filhos de Ló. (Selá)
Asshur also is joined with them, They have been an arm to sons of Lot. (Selah)
9 Faze a eles como a Midiã, como a Sísera, como a Jabim no ribeiro de Quisom,
Do to them as [to] Midian, As [to] Sisera, as [to] Jabin, at the stream Kishon.
10 [Que] pereceram em Endor; vieram a ser esterco da terra.
They were destroyed at Endor, They were dung for the ground!
11 Faze a eles [e] a seus nobres como a Orebe, e como Zeebe; e a todos os seus príncipes como a Zebá, e como a Zalmuna,
Make their nobles as Oreb and as Zeeb, And as Zebah and Zalmunna all their princes,
12 Que disseram: Tomemos posse para nós dos terrenos de Deus.
Who have said, 'Let us occupy for ourselves The comely places of God.'
13 Deus meu, faze-os como a um redemoinho, como a palhas perante o vento;
O my God, make them as a rolling thing, As stubble before wind.
14 Como o fogo, que queima uma floresta, e como a labareda que incendeia as montanhas.
As a fire doth burn a forest, And as a flame setteth hills on fire,
15 Persegue-os assim com tua tempestade, e assombra-os com o teu forte vento.
So dost Thou pursue them with Thy whirlwind, And with Thy hurricane troublest them.
16 Enche os rostos deles de vergonha, para que busquem o teu nome, SENHOR.
Fill their faces [with] shame, And they seek Thy name, O Jehovah.
17 Sejam envergonhados e assombrados para sempre, e sejam humilhados, e pereçam.
They are ashamed and troubled for ever, Yea, they are confounded and lost.
18 Para que saibam que tu, (e teu nome é EU-SOU), és o Altíssimo sobre toda a terra.
And they know that Thou — (Thy name [is] Jehovah — by Thyself, ) [Art] the Most High over all the earth!
