Salmos 74
1 Instrução de Asafe: Deus, por que nos rejeitaste para sempre? [Por que] tua ira fumega contra as ovelhas do teu pasto?
Maschil of Asaph. Why, O God, hast Thou cast us off for ever? Why doth Thine anger smoke against the flock of Thy pasture?
2 Lembra-te do teu povo, que tu compraste desde a antiguidade; a tribo de tua herança, que resgataste; o monte Sião, em que habitaste.
Remember Thy congregation, which Thou hast gotten of old, which Thou hast redeemed to be the tribe of Thine inheritance; and mount Zion, wherein Thou hast dwelt.
3 Percorre as ruínas duradouras, tudo que o inimigo destruiu no santuário.
Lift up Thy steps because of the perpetual ruins, even all the evil that the enemy hath done in the sanctuary.
4 Os teus inimigos rugiram no meio de tuas assembleias; puseram por sinais de vitória os símbolos deles.
Thine adversaries have roared in the midst of Thy meeting-place; they have set up their own signs for signs.
5 Eles eram como o que levantam machados contra os troncos das árvores.
It seemed as when men wield upwards axes in a thicket of trees.
6 E agora, com machados e martelos, quebraram todas as obras entalhadas.
And now all the carved work thereof together they strike down with hatchet and hammers.
7 Puseram fogo no teu santuário; profanaram [levando] ao chão o lugar onde o teu nome habita.
They have set Thy sanctuary on fire; they have profaned the dwelling-place of Thy name even to the ground.
8 Disseram em seus corações: Nós os destruiremos por completo; serão queimadas todas as assembleias de Deus na terra.
They said in their heart: 'Let us make havoc of them altogether'; they have burned up all the meeting-places of God in the land.
9 Já não vemos os nossos sinais; já não há mais profeta; e ninguém entre nós sabe até quando será assim.
We see not our signs; there is no more any prophet; neither is there among us any that knoweth how long.
10 Deus, até quando o adversário insultará? O inimigo blasfemará o teu nome para sempre?
How long, O God, shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme Thy name for ever?
11 Por que está afastada a tua mão direita? Tira-a do teu peito!
Why withdrawest Thou Thy hand, even Thy right hand? Draw it out of Thy bosom and consume them.
12 Deus é o meu Rei desde a antiguidade; ele opera salvação no meio da terra.
Yet God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.
13 Tu dividiste o mar com a tua força; quebraste as cabeças dos monstros nas águas.
Thou didst break the sea in pieces by Thy strength; Thou didst shatter the heads of the sea-monsters in the waters.
14 Despedaçaste as cabeças do leviatã; e o deste como alimento ao povo do deserto.
Thou didst crush the heads of leviathan, Thou gavest him to be food to the folk inhabiting the wilderness.
15 Tu dividiste a fonte e o ribeiro; tu secaste os rios perenes.
Thou didst cleave fountain and brook; Thou driedst up ever-flowing rivers.
16 A ti pertence o dia, a noite também é tua; tu preparaste a luz e o sol.
Thine is the day, Thine also the night; Thou hast established luminary and sun.
17 Tu estabeleceste todos os limites da terra; tu formaste o verão e o inverno.
Thou hast set all the borders of the earth; Thou hast made summer and winter.
18 Lembra-te disto: que o inimigo insultou ao SENHOR; e um povo tolo blasfemou o teu nome.
Remember this, how the enemy hath reproached the LORD, and how a base people have blasphemed Thy name.
19 Não entregues a vida da tua pombinha para os animais selvagens; não te esqueças para sempre da vida dos teus pobres.
O deliver not the soul of Thy turtle-dove unto the wild beast; forget not the life of Thy poor for ever.
20 Olha para o [teu] pacto, porque os lugares escuros da terra estão cheios de habitações violentas.
Look upon the covenant; for the dark places of the land are full of the habitations of violence.
21 Não permitas que o oprimido volte humilhado; que o aflito e o necessitado louvem o teu nome.
O let not the oppressed turn back in confusion; let the poor and needy praise Thy name.
22 Levanta-te, Deus; luta em favor de tua causa; lembra-te do insulto que o tolo faz a ti o dia todo.
Arise, O God, plead Thine own cause; remember Thy reproach all the day at the hand of the base man.
23 Não te esqueças da voz dos teus adversários; o barulho dos que se levantam contra ti sobe cada vez mais.
Forget not the voice of Thine adversaries, the tumult of those that rise up against Thee which ascendeth continually.
