Salmos 73
1 Salmo de Asafe: Sim, certamente Deus [é] bom para Israel, para os limpos de coração.
A psalm for Asaph. How good is God to Israel, to them that are of a right heart!
2 Eu porém, quase que meus pés se desviaram; quase nada [faltou] para meus passos escorregarem.
But my feet were almost moved; my steps had well nigh slipped.
3 Porque eu tinha inveja dos arrogantes, quando via a prosperidade dos perversos.
Because I had a zeal on occasion of the wicked, seeing the prosperity of sinners.
4 Porque não há problemas para eles até sua morte, e o vigor deles continua firme.
For there is no regard to their death, nor is there strength in their stripes.
5 Não são tão oprimidos como o homem comum, nem são afligidos como os outros homens;
They are not in the labour of men: neither shall they be scourged like other men.
6 Por isso eles são rodeados de arrogância como um colar; estão cobertos de violência como [se fosse] um vestido.
Therefore pride hath held them fast: they are covered with their iniquity and their wickedness.
7 Seus olhos incham de gordura; são excessivos os desejos do coração deles.
Their iniquity hath come forth, as it were from fatness: they have passed into the affection of the heart.
8 Eles são escarnecedores e oprimem falando mal e falando arrogantemente.
They have thought and spoken wickedness: they have spoken iniquity on high.
9 Elevam suas bocas ao céu, e suas línguas andam na terra.
They have set their mouth against heaven: and their tongue hath passed through the earth.
10 Por isso seu povo volta para cá, e as águas lhes são espremidas por completo.
Therefore will my people return here and full days shall be found in them.
11 E dizem: Como Deus saberia? Será que o Altíssimo tem conhecimento [disto]?
And they said: How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?
12 Eis que estes [são] perversos, sempre estão confortáveis e aumentam seus bens.
Behold these are sinners; and yet abounding in the world they have obtained riches.
13 [Cheguei a pensar]: Certamente purifiquei meu coração e lavei minhas mãos na inocência inutilmente,
And I said: Then have I in vain justified my heart, and washed my hands among the innocent.
14 Porque sou afligido o dia todo, e castigado toda manhã.
And I have been scourged all the day; and my chastisement hath been in the mornings.
15 Se eu tivesse dito [isto], eu falaria dessa maneira; eis que teria decepcionado a geração de teus filhos.
If I said: I will speak thus; behold I should condemn the generation of thy children.
16 Quando tentei entender, isto me pareceu trabalhoso.
I studied that I might know this thing, it is a labour in my sight:
17 Até que entrei nos santuários de Deus, [e] entendi o fim de tais pessoas.
Until I go into the sanctuary of God, and understand concerning their last ends.
18 Certamente tu os fazes escorregarem, [e] os lança em assolações.
But indeed for deceits thou hast put it to them: when they were lifted up thou hast cast them down.
19 Como eles foram assolados tão repentinamente! Eles se acabaram, [e] se consumiram de medo.
How are they brought to desolation? they have suddenly ceased to be: they have perished by reason of their iniquity.
20 Como o sonho depois de acordar, ó Senhor, quando tu acordares desprezarás a aparência deles;
As the dream of them that awake, O Lord; so in thy city thou shalt bring their image to nothing.
21 Porque meu coração tem se amargurado, e meus rins têm sentido dolorosas picadas.
For my heart hath been inflamed, and my reins have been changed:
22 Então me comportei como tolo, e nada sabia; tornei-me como um animal para contigo.
And I am brought to nothing, and I knew not.
23 Porém [agora estarei] continuamente contigo; tu tens segurado minha mão direita.
I am become as a beast before thee: and I am always with thee.
24 Tu me guiarás com teu conselho, e depois me receberás [em] glória.
Thou hast held me by my right hand; and by thy will thou hast conducted me, and with thy glory thou hast received me.
25 A quem tenho no céu [além de ti]? E [quando estou] contigo, nada há na terra que eu deseje.
For what have I in heaven? and besides thee what do I desire upon earth?
26 Minha carne e meu coração desfalecem; [porém] Deus [será] a rocha do meu coração e minha porção para sempre.
For thee my flesh and my heart hath fainted away: thou art the God of my heart, and the God that is my portion for ever.
27 Porque eis que os que ficaram longe de ti perecerão; tu destróis todo infiel a ti.
For behold they that go far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that are disloyal to thee.
28 Mas [quanto] a mim, bom me é me aproximar de Deus; ponho minha confiança no Senhor DEUS, para que eu conte todas as tuas obras.
But it is good for me to adhere to my God, to put my hope in the Lord God: That I may declare all thy praises, in the gates of the daughter of Sion.
