Salmos 7
1 Cântico de Davi, que cantou ao SENHOR, depois das palavras de Cuxe, descendente de Benjamim: SENHOR, meu Deus, em ti confio; salva-me de todos os que me perseguem, e livra-me.
A Psalm of David, which he sang to the Lord because of the words of Cush, the son of Jemini. O Lord, my God, in you I have hoped. Save me from all those who persecute me, and free me:
2 Para que não rasguem minha alma como um leão, sendo despedaçada sem [haver] quem a livre.
lest at any time, like a lion, he might seize my soul, while there is no one to redeem me, nor any who can save.
3 SENHOR, meu Deus, se eu fiz isto: se há perversidade em minhas mãos;
O Lord, my God, if there is iniquity in my hands, if I have done this:
4 Se eu paguei [com] mal ao que tinha paz comigo (mas fiz escapar ao que me oprimia sem causa);
if I have repaid those who rendered evils to me, may I deservedly fall away empty before my enemies:
5 [Então] que o inimigo persiga a minha alma, e a alcance; e pise em terra a minha vida; e faça habitar minha honra no pó. (Selá)
let the enemy pursue my soul, and take hold of it, and trample my life into the earth, and drag down my glory into the dust. (Pause)
6 Levanta-te, SENHOR, em tua ira; exalta-te pelos furores de meus opressores; e desperta para comigo; tu mandaste o juízo.
Rise up, Lord, in your anger. And be exalted to the borders of my enemies. And rise up, O Lord my God, according to the precept that you commanded,
7 Então o ajuntamento de povos te rodeará; portanto volta a te elevar [a ti mesmo] sobre ele.
and a congregation of people will surround you. And, because of this, return on high.
8 O SENHOR julgará aos povos; julga-me, SENHOR, conforme a minha justiça, e conforme a sinceridade [que há] em mim.
The Lord judges the people. Judge me, O Lord, according to my justice and according to my innocence within me.
9 Que tenha fim a maldade dos maus; mas firma ao justo, tu, ó justo Deus, que provas os corações e os sentimentos.
The wickedness of sinners will be consumed, and you will direct the just: the examiner of hearts and temperaments is God.
10 Meu escudo [pertence] a Deus, que salva os corretos de coração.
Just is my help from the Lord, who saves the upright of heart.
11 Deus é um justo juiz; e um Deus que se ira todos os dias.
God is a just judge, strong and patient. How could he be angry throughout every day?
12 Ele afia a espada para aquele que não se arrepende; ele [já] armou e preparou seu arco.
Unless you will be converted, he will brandish his sword. He has extended his bow and made it ready.
13 E para ele [já] preparou armas mortais; suas flechas utilizará contra os perseguidores.
And with it, he has prepared instruments of death. He has produced his arrows for those on fire.
14 Eis que [o injusto] está com dores de perversidade; e está em trabalho de parto, e gerará mentiras.
Behold him who has given birth to injustice: he has conceived sorrow and has begotten iniquity.
15 Ele cavou um poço e o fez fundo; mas caiu na cova [que ele próprio] fez.
He has opened a pit and enlarged it. And he has fallen into the hole that he made.
16 Seu trabalho se voltará contra sua [própria] cabeça; e sua violência descerá sobre o topo de sua cabeça.
His sorrow will be turned upon his own head, and his iniquity will descend upon his highest point.
17 Eu louvarei ao SENHOR conforme sua justiça; cantarei ao nome do SENHOR, o Altíssimo.
I will confess to the Lord according to his justice, and I will sing a psalm to the name of the Lord Most High.
