Salmos 69
1 Salmo de Davi, para o regente, conforme “os lírios”: Salva-me, ó Deus, porque as águas têm entrado [e encoberto] a minha alma.
For the music director. To the tune “Lilies.” A psalm of David. God, please save me, because the water is up to my neck!
2 Afundei-me em um profundo lamaçal, onde não se pode ficar em pé; entrei nas profundezas das águas, e a corrente está me levando.
I'm sinking deeper into the mud—there's no solid ground for me to stand. I find myself in deep water; floods wash over me.
3 Já estou cansado de clamar, minha garganta enrouqueceu; meus olhos desfaleceram, enquanto espero pelo meu Deus.
I'm so tired of screaming out for help my throat is totally raw. My eyes are worn out looking for my God to help me.
4 Os que me odeiam sem motivo são mais numerosos que os cabelos de minha cabeça; são poderosos os que procuram me arruinar, os que por falsidades se fazem meus inimigos; tive que pagar de volta aquilo que não furtei.
Those who hate me for no reason are more than the number of hairs on my head. Many enemies try to destroy me by telling lies. How can I give back what I didn't steal?
5 Tu, Deus, sabes como sou tolo; e meus pecados não estão escondidos perante ti.
God, you know how foolish I am! My sins are not hidden from you.
6 Não sejam envergonhados por minha causa aqueles que te esperam, ó Senhor DEUS dos exércitos; não sejam humilhados por minha causa os que te buscam, ó Deus de Israel.
Don't let those who trust you be ashamed because of me, Lord God Almighty. Don't let those who follow you be disgraced because of me, God of Israel.
7 Porque por causa de ti aguentei ser insultado; a humilhação cobriu o meu rosto.
For your sake I put up with the insults; my face shows my embarrassment.
8 Tornei-me estranho aos meus irmãos; e desconhecido aos filhos de minha mãe;
I have become a foreigner to my brother Israelites; a stranger to my very own brothers.
9 Porque o zelo por tua casa me devorou; e os insultos dos que te insultam caíram sobre mim;
My devotion for your house is burning me up inside; the insults of those who insulted you have fallen on me.
10 Minha alma chorou e jejuou; porém [mais] insultos vieram sobre mim.
I wept and I fasted, but they mocked me;
11 Vesti-me de saco, mas fui ridicularizado por eles num ditado.
I mourned in sackcloth, but they laughed at me.
12 Os que se sentam à porta falam [mal] de mim; e os bebedores de álcool cantam [piadas] contra mim.
People sitting by the town gate gossip about me. I'm the subject of rude songs sung by drunks.
13 Mas eu oro a ti, SENHOR, [no] tempo aceitável. Pela grandeza de tua bondade, responde-me, ó Deus, pela fidelidade de tua salvação.
But my prayer is to you, Lord, believing this is a good time to respond to me. God, in your wonderful trustworthy love, answer me with your sure salvation.
14 Livra-me do lamaçal, e não me deixes afundar; seja eu resgatado dos que me odeiam, e das profundezas das águas.
Please rescue me from the mud—don't let me sink! Save me from those who hate me and from drowning in the deep waters!
15 Não permitas que as correntes de águas me cubram, e que a profundeza não me devore, nem o poço feche sua boca sobre mim.
Don't let the flood waters wash over me. Don't let the deep waters pull me down. Don't let the grave close over me.
16 Responde-me, SENHOR; pois boa é tua bondade; olha para mim conforme tua piedade.
Please answer my prayers, Lord, for you are good and love me with your trustworthy love; because of your kindness, please help me.
17 E não escondas teu rosto de teu servo; porque estou angustiado; ouve-me depressa.
Don't turn away from me, your servant. Please answer me quickly because I'm in trouble.
18 Vem para perto de minha alma, [e] a liberta; resgata-me por causa de meus inimigos.
Come here and rescue me; set me free from my enemies.
19 Tu conheces como me insultam, me envergonham e me humilham; diante de ti estão todos os meus adversários.
You—you know my shame, my disgrace, my humiliation. You see everything my enemies are doing.
20 Insultos têm quebrado meu coração, e estou fraquíssimo; e esperei compaixão, porém [houve] nenhuma; [também esperei] por pessoas que me consolassem, mas não os achei.
Insults have broken my heart—I am so sick there is no cure. I looked for some sympathy, but there was no one! Nobody showed me any compassion.
21 Deram-me fel como alimento; e em minha sede me deram vinagre para beber.
Instead they gave me bitter herbs to eat and vinegar to drink.
22 Torne-se a mesa diante deles como que um laço; e aquilo que [lhes] dá segurança [lhes] seja uma armadilha.
May the table set before them become a trap for them, a net that catches them, bringing punishment.
23 Sejam escurecidos os olhos deles, para que não possam ver; e que seus quadris vacilem continuamente.
May their eyes become blind so they cannot see, and may their backs always be bent low in dejection.
24 Derrama tua indignação sobre eles; e que sejam tomados pelo ardor de tua ira.
Pour out your judgment on them; chase them down in your fierce anger.
25 A habitação deles seja desolada; e que não haja morador nas tendas deles;
Let the places where they live be deserted. Let their homes be abandoned.
26 Porque perseguem [aquele] a quem tu feriste, e contam histórias da dor daqueles a quem tu machucaste.
For they persecute those you have punished, and make it even more painful for those you have disciplined.
27 Conta como maldade a maldade deles; e não sejam eles agraciados por tua justiça.
Punish them for the evil they have done. Don't acquit them.
28 Sejam riscados dos livro da vida; e não estejam eles escritos junto com os justos.
Blot out their names from the Book of Life. Don't let them be listed with those who do right.
29 Mas eu [estou] miserável e em dores; ó Deus, que tua salvação me proteja.
But I am suffering and in physical pain. God, please save me and keep me safe.
30 Louvarei o nome de Deus com cântico; e o engrandecerei com agradecimentos.
I will praise God's character in song; I will say how incredible he is and how thankful I am.
31 Isto agradará ao SENHOR mais do que [o sacrifício] de um boi [ou] de um bezerro com chifres e unhas.
The Lord is happier with this than with offering animals as sacrifices: cattle, or bulls with horns and hooves.
32 Os mansos verão, e se alegrarão; vós que buscais a Deus, vosso coração viverá.
The humble will see this and be happy. May God encourage everyone who comes to him.
33 Porque o SENHOR ouve aos necessitados, e não despreza os prisioneiros que lhe pertencem.
God hears the poor, and he does not ignore his people who are in prison.
34 Louvem a ele os céus, a terra, os mares, e tudo que neles se move;
Praise him heaven and earth, the seas and everything that lives in them!
35 Porque Deus salvará a Sião, e construirá as cidades de Judá; e habitarão ali, e a terão como posse.
For God will save Zion, and rebuild the cities of Judah. They will live there and own the land.
36 E a semente de seus servos a herdará; e os que amam o nome dele habitarão nela.
The descendants of those who follow him will inherit the land, and those who love him will live there.
