Salmos 66
1 Cântico e salmo para o regente: Gritai de alegria a Deus toda a terra.
“For the leader of the music. A psalm.” Shout joyfully unto God. all ye lands!
2 Cantai a glória do nome dele; reconhecei a glória de seu louvor.
Sing ye the honor of his name; Make his praise glorious!
3 Dizei a Deus: Tu [és] temível [em] tuas obras; pela grandeza de tua força os teus inimigos se sujeitarão a ti.
Say unto God, How terrible are thy doings! Through the greatness of thy power thine enemies are suppliants to thee!
4 Toda a terra te adorará, e cantará a ti; cantarão ao teu nome. (Selá)
Let all the earth worship thee; Let it sing praise to thee, let it sing praise to thy name! (Pause)
5 Vinde, e vede os atos de Deus; a obra dele é temível aos filhos dos homens.
Come, behold the works of God! How terrible his doings among the sons of men!
6 Ele fez o mar ficar seco, passaram o rio a pé; ali nos alegramos nele.
He turned the sea into dry land; They went through the deep on foot; Then we rejoiced in him.
7 Ele governa com seu poder para sempre; seus olhos vigiam as nações; não se exaltem os rebeldes. (Selá)
By his power he ruleth for ever; His eyes are fixed upon the nations; Let not the rebellious exalt themselves! (Pause)
8 Vós povos, bendizei a nosso Deus, e fazei ouvir a voz do louvor a ele,
O bless our God, ye nations. And make the voice of his praise to be heard!
9 Que conserva nossas almas em vida, e não permite que nossos pés se abalem.
It is he who preserveth our lives, And suffereth not our feet to stumble.
10 Porque tu, Deus, tem nos provado; tu nos refinas como se refina a prata.
Thou hast, indeed, proved us, O God! Thou hast tried us as silver is tried.
11 Tu nos levaste a uma rede; prendeste-nos em nossas cinturas.
Thou broughtest us into a snare, And didst lay a heavy burden upon our backs;
12 Fizeste um homem cavalgar sobre nossas cabeças; passamos pelo fogo e pela água, porém tu nos tiraste para um [lugar] confortável.
Thou didst cause men to ride upon our heads, And we have gone through fire and water: But thou hast brought us to a place of abundance.
13 Entrarei em tua casa com holocaustos; pagarei a ti os meus votos,
I will go into thy house with burnt-offerings! I will pay thee my vows, —
14 Que meus lábios pronunciaram, e minha boca falou, quando eu estava angustiado.
The vows which my lips uttered. Which my mouth promised in my trouble.
15 Eu te oferecerei holocaustos de animais gordos, com incenso de carneiros; prepararei bois com bodes. (Selá)
Burnt sacrifices of fatlings will I offer to thee with the fat of rams; Bullocks, with he-goats, will I sacrifice to thee. (Pause)
16 Vinde, ouvi, todos vós que temeis a Deus, e eu contarei o que ele fez à minha alma.
Come and hear, all ye who fear God, And I will relate what he hath done for me!
17 Clamei a ele com minha boca, e ele foi exaltado pela minha língua.
I called upon him with my mouth, And praise is now upon my tongue.
18 Se eu tivesse dado valor para a maldade em meu coração, o Senhor não teria [me] ouvido.
If I had meditated wickedness in my heart, The Lord would not have heard me:
19 Mas certamente Deus [me] ouviu; ele prestou atenção à voz de minha oração.
But surely God hath heard me; He hath had regard to the voice of my supplication.
20 Bendito seja Deus, que não ignorou minha oração, nem sua bondade [se desviou] de mim.
Blessed be God, who did not reject my prayer, Nor withhold his mercy from me!
