Salmos 64
1 Salmo de Davi, para o regente: Ouve, Deus, minha voz, em minha meditação [de súplica]; guarda minha vida do terror do inimigo.
To the Chief Musician. A Melody of David. Hear, O God, my voice when I complain, From dread peril by the foe, wilt thou guard my life.
2 Esconde-me do grupo dos malignos, e do ajuntamento dos praticantes de maldade,
Wilt thou hide me, From the conclave of evil-doers, From the crowd of workers of iniquity.
3 Que afiam sua língua como [se fosse] espada; e armaram palavras amargas [como se fossem] flechas.
Who have sharpened, like a sword, their tongue, Have made ready their arrow—a bitter word;
4 Para atirarem no inocente às escondidas; disparam apressadamente contra ele, e não têm medo.
To shoot, in secret places, at the blameless one, Suddenly they shoot at him, and fear not.
5 Eles são ousados para [fazerem] coisas más, comentam sobre como esconder armadilhas, [e] dizem: Quem as verá?
They strengthen for them a wicked word, They talk of hiding snares, They have said, Who can see them?
6 Eles buscam por perversidades; procuram tudo o que pode ser procurado, até o interior de [cada] homem, e as profundezas do coração.
They devise perverse things, They have completed the device well devised, Both the intent of each one, and the mind, are unsearchable.
7 Mas Deus os atingirá com flecha de repente; e [logo] serão feridos.
Once let God have shot at them an arrow, Suddenly have appeared their own wounds!
8 E a língua deles fará com que tropecem em si mesmos; todo aquele que olhar para eles se afastará.
When they were to have ruined another, their tongue smote themselves, All who observe them take flight.
9 E todos os homens terão medo, e anunciarão a obra de Deus, e observarão cuidadosamente o que ele fez.
Therefore have all men feared, —And have told the doing of God, And, his work, have considered.
10 O justo se alegará no SENHOR, e confiará nele; e todos os corretos de coração [o] glorificarão.
The righteous man shall rejoice in Yahweh, and seek refuge in him, Then shall glory—all who are upright in heart.
