Salmos 61

1 Salmo de Davi, para o regente, com instrumento de cordas: Ouve, ó Deus, o meu clamor; presta atenção à minha oração.

To the Chief Musician. Upon a Stringed Instrument. David’s. Hear, O God, my loud cry, Attend unto my prayer:

2 Desde o limite da terra eu clamo a ti, pelo sofrimento do meu coração; leva-me para uma rocha alta para mim.

From the end of the earth, unto thee do I cry, When my heart fainteth away, Unto a rock that is higher than I, wilt thou lead me.

3 Pois tu tens sido o meu refúgio [e] torre forte perante o inimigo.

For thou hast been, A Refuge to me, A Tower of Strength, from the face of the foe.

4 Eu habitarei em tua tenda para sempre; tomarei refúgio [me] escondendo sob tuas asas. (Selá)

I would be a guest in thy tent to the ages, I would seek refuge in the concealment of thy wings. (Selah)

5 Pois tu, ó Deus, ouviste meus votos; tu tens [me] dado a herança dos que temem o teu nome.

For, thou, O God, hast hearkened to my vows, Thou hast granted a possession, unto them who revere thy Name.

6 Acrescentarás dias e mais dias ao Rei; seus anos serão como de geração em geração.

Days—unto the days of the king, wilt thou add. His years, as of generation after generation:

7 Ele habitará para sempre diante de Deus; prepara que [tua] bondade e fidelidade o guardem.

Let him retain his seat age-abidingly before God, Appoint that, lovingkindness and faithfulness, my watch over him!

8 Assim cantarei ao teu nome para sempre, para eu pagar meus votos dia após dia.

So, will I sing thy Name unto futurity, Paying my vows, day by day.
