Salmos 51
1 Salmo de Davi, para o regente, quando o profeta Natã veio até ele, depois dele ter praticado adultério com Bate-Seba: Tem misericórdia de mim, ó Deus, conforme a tua bondade; desfaz minhas transgressões conforme a abundância de tuas misericórdias.
For the Leader. A Psalm of David; When Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bath-sheba. Be gracious unto me, O God, according to Thy mercy; according to the multitude of Thy compassions blot out my transgressions.
2 Lava-me bem de minha perversidade, e purifica-me de meu pecado.
Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
3 Porque eu reconheço minhas transgressões, e meu pecado está continuamente diante de mim.
For I know my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me.
4 Contra ti, somente contra ti pequei, e fiz o mal segundo teus olhos; para que estejas justo no que dizeres, e puro no que julgares.
Against Thee, Thee only, have I sinned, and done that which is evil in Thy sight; that Thou mayest be justified when Thou speakest, and be in the right when Thou judgest.
5 Eis que em perversidade fui formado, e em pecado minha mãe me concebeu.
Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.
6 Eis que tu te agradas da verdade interior, e no oculto tu me fazes conhecer sabedoria.
Behold, Thou desirest truth in the inward parts; make me, therefore, to know wisdom in mine inmost heart.
7 Limpa-me do pecado com hissopo, e ficarei limpo; lava-me, e eu serei mais branco que a neve.
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Faça-me ouvir alegria e contentamento, [e] meus ossos, que tu quebraste, se alegrarão.
Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which Thou hast crushed may rejoice.
9 Esconde tua face de meus pecados, e desfaz todas as minhas perversidades.
Hide Thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
10 Cria em mim um coração puro, ó Deus; e renova um espírito firme em meu interior.
Create me a clean heart, O God; and renew a stedfast spirit within me.
11 Não me rejeites de tua face, e não tires teu Espírito Santo de mim.
Cast me not away from Thy presence; and take not Thy holy spirit from me.
12 Restaura a alegria de tua salvação, e que tu me sustentes com um espírito de boa vontade.
Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation; and let a willing spirit uphold me.
13 [Então] eu ensinarei aos transgressores os teus caminhos, e os pecadores se converterão a ti.
Then will I teach transgressors Thy ways; and sinners shall return unto Thee.
14 Livra-me das [transgressões] por derramamento de sangue, ó Deus, Deus de minha salvação; e minha língua louvará alegremente tua justiça.
Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, Thou God of my salvation; so shall my tongue sing aloud of Thy righteousness.
15 Abre, Senhor, os meus lábios, e minha boca anunciará louvor a ti.
O Lord, open Thou my lips; and my mouth shall declare Thy praise.
16 Porque tu não te agradas de sacrifícios, pois senão eu te daria; tu não te alegras de holocaustos.
For Thou delightest not in sacrifice, else would I give it; Thou hast no pleasure in burnt-offering.
17 Os sacrifícios a Deus são um espírito quebrado [em arrependimento]; tu não desprezarás um coração quebrado e triste.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise.
18 Faze bem a Sião conforme tua boa vontade; edifica os muros de Jerusalém.
Do good in Thy favour unto Zion; build Thou the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Então tu te agradarás dos sacrifícios de justiça, dos holocaustos, e das ofertas queimadas; então oferecerão bezerros sobre teu altar.
Then wilt Thou delight in the sacrifices of righteousness, in burnt-offering and whole offering; then will they offer bullocks upon Thine altar.
